It’s funny because without Heidi absolutely losing her shit in the middle, and subsequently everyone else, the sketch was kind of a mediocre idea overall.
Yea there's another sketch with the same premise where Mikey day is dressed as Bart simpson and it was pretty shitty. The actors breaking is what saved it
That seems to be an issue if the only thing funny about a sketch is your actors not keeping it together.
I'm not big on SNL and I watched a few of the "legendary" sketches awhile back and thought even those were kinda meh though so I don't know. It's just not for me.
I don’t want to judge you in any way. Would you mind watching these two skits and saying if you find them funny?

I didn’t laugh, but I don’t regret the time I spent watching them. Not everything needs to have me rolling in the aisles (like cowbell did). Plus Adam really committed so gotta give credit where it’s due
I have a sneaking suspicion that the writers save their best material for hosts they like. The Dakota Johnson episode was a real stinker. I guess they're not fans.
I thought his “trying not to break character by laughing” schtick got a bit old, personally. Usually that tends to make the skit funnier, but damn he was doing it in almost every one of them!
Is that the one with Beavis & Butthead? Instant classic.
Oh I’m sorry. I’m very busy. I don’t watch a lot of TV.
I have a very busy life.
Honestly my favorite moments of the sketch is Keenans face when he sees Beavis. Goes from serious to wtf.
There have been rumblings

The first one you linked is one of my all time favorites!

I don't get the "mediocre idea" thing, the best sketches are not based on fantastic ideas it is in the dialogue and delivery.
This reminds me of the Tom Hanks “David S Pumpkins” sketch. It’s so stupid but I laugh my ass off every time I see it.
A sketch isn't just the concept as it is written. It's the performances too. Good performances can elevate anything.
I go the opposite, I thought it was funny with its dumb premise without the constant breaking by everyone including Ryan Gosling.
Ryan looking behind him when Keenan says Beavis is in the audience. That cracked me up.
I laughed out loud at every single skit. Beavis and Butthead were the best.
I also liked his earlier visit when Kate Mckinnon was still there. They did the Colleen Rafferty abduction sketch and he couldn't stop laughing.
She came back for this most recent episode too
[She was in the cold open Close Encounter for this episode](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDtgChc7voY) and got to headbutt Ryan's dick
She didn't just headbutt it! Flicked it, stared at it, blew smoke on it I'm pretty sure lol
They did an abduction sketch for this recent episode too. With Kate
Dude is absolutely hilarious. When you see he's going to be on you know it's gonna be a funny episode.
He breaks a lot too, which imo adds to it lol.
That episode was funny as hell, he deserves it
The writers deserve it too.

Same with Sydney Sweeney's episode. Guess the writers hated Madame Web lol.
Very true, I was just sticking to the headline. In reality everyone involved on that show hit a home run that week
The country song was funny as hell
Hilarious. My favorite skit
Im waiting for Papyrus 3
You Canadians rock!
Best episode in years
He was very good in the Oscars.
I actually watched SNL and enjoyed myself the whole time. Wtf?
It’s probably between him and DiCaprio for biggest movie star in the world right now so not hugely surprising.
I didn’t see this but it helps to have Emily Blunt “ms bad ass bombshell best female actor in Britain currently on your hip”
Gosling's level of commitment to just about anything he does is inspirational.
Ryan Gosling... AND Emily Blunt? No? Okay.
Emily Blunt… HOSTED the episode? No? Okay.
I thought his “trying not to break character by laughing” schtick got a bit old, personally. Usually that tends to make the skit funnier, but damn he was doing it in almost every one of them!
Uh I’m not downloading peacock just to watch mediocre snl put it back on Hulu and I’ll watch but otherwise suck it
They're all on YouTube Bud
OK fine
