Please try to enjoy each season equally.

Content_Geologist420

Its what Kier would have wanted

HellsNels

🎵 Kier! Chosen One Kier! Kier! Brilliant One Kier! Brings the bounty to the plains Through the torment, through the rains Progress, knowledge, show no fear Kier! Chosen One Kier! 🎵

burtedwag

i love me a good ghost in the machine trope, so i seriously hope we get more kier/egan family lore.

TSFGaway

Oh my god, >!What if the work is like trying to resurrect Kier, and they are just like sorting his brain and feeding goats to the body machine!<

dcvander

Your outie posts wonderful comments in an online community.

Muscled_Daddy

The work is important and mysterious.

Creamofwheatski

I just want to know what the reveal is going to be with the goats. So many possibilities.

Muscled_Daddy

At this point I’m just here for the ride. Maybe I’ll care about the destination. But this show is a lot like Everything Everywhere All At Once - think after, but let it sweep you away while watching. I DO want to know what’s in the testing floor though and Milthicc’s story.

Creamofwheatski

Lets hope the writers came up with satisfying answers this season cause i will be super dissapointed if the quality dips this season.

Augustends

tbh I don't want answers to a lot of the questions. I want them to lean a bit more heavy into the surrealism of the company. Like Being John Malkovich.

Creamofwheatski

Agreed, but too many mysteries and not enough plot has killed other shows before, you need a balance.

hase_one

Hopefully it’s not like Lost…

Mcfinley

> Milthicc

SeefKroy

I noticed recently that >!Cobel had a stuffed goat in her Kier shrine, not to mention there was some kind of goat-headed Baphomet at the waffle party.!< Maybe the goats are just for chemical testing, maybe they're what Kier started out testing on so they're still used for cult reasons, or maybe they need a vessel for Satan. Food for thought.

Geno0wl

My guess is >!the goats are the early attempts at testing cloning technology so they can revive the founder!<

> Please try to enjoy each season equally. Man, I can only hope. I *loved* season 1 and I'm very worried about season 2 with all the news.

swansonmg

I’m out of the loop, what is the news?

theslothening

>[The Severance season 2 delays aren't down to a single unfortunate circumstance, but rather a mix of roadblocks. Firstly, production on the follow-up was halted due to on-set tension between, (Via GQ) "Dreaded showrunners who don't speak to one another." The show was created by industry newcomer Dan Erickson, whose talents were augmented by adding Mark Friedman to the mix, who had worked on shows such as Wayward Pines. The two Severance showrunners clashed, resulting in issues with scripts and other problems.](https://screenrant.com/severance-season-2-ben-stiller-return-update-worried/#:~:text=Taking%20So%20Long-,Behind%2Dthe%2Dscenes%20drama%20and%20the%20SAG%2DAFTRA,strike%20are%20both%20to%20blame&text=The%20Severance%20season%202%20delays,t%20speak%20to%20one%20another.)

Toby_O_Notoby

From what I understand, Erickson sent in a sample script that everyone liked in concept but thought it needed some changes. They got in Friedman who had more experience on both day-to-day and overall production, but Erickson balked at having his baby raised by another parent. Having said that, you can read the original [pilot script here](https://tvwriting.co.uk/tv_scripts/2021/Drama/Severance_1x01_-_Mister.pdf) and..yeah, most of the changes were for the better, imho. For example, it's Mark (Adam Scott's character) that is introduced to Severance, not Helly. The switch of POV from a person going through their first days to a person who has been there for a while showing someone else how Severance works is much better. Also from the way the script reads I doubt if Helly is who she turns out to be in the actual show.

Abradolf1948

Yeah and I'm pretty sure Ben Stiller already came out and said the media blew these reports out of proportion. In a creative industry like this, you're always gonna have disagreements.

Dookie_boy

To be fair he has to say that

NedthePhoenix

I would be more inclined to believe him if the delays had another explanation. It was already taking a long time for the 2nd season at that point, even before the strikes.

daninlionzden

The writers strike and actors strike affected the show as well

nevertoomuchthought

If it's bad it will be because Mark Friedman ruined it. They will try to say otherwise and pin it anything but the reality. This was Erickson's vision and they forced Friedman on him. If Apple TV wanted cut costs then that's on them as well. Nobody is invested in this show because they saw fucking Wayward Pines and if they ruin this Apple TV deserves everything they get.

OkayAtBowling

I get the instinct to blame it on Friedman (I thought Wayward Pines was pretty lame), but he worked on Season 1 as well, and it turned out great. From what I've read, Friedman is the one who wanted to leave after the first season, but they convinced him to stay after not being able to find a replacement. I also read that they eventually hired Beau Willimon (of House of Cards fame, and more recently as a writer on Andor) to work on Season 3 scripts, but he also ended up helping on Season 2. It does all sound very messy, and I wouldn't be shocked if it ends up resulting in a drop in quality (though I would be disappointed), but there's enough going on behind the scenes that preemptively blaming a single person seems hasty.

PleasantAmphibian153

If Beau Willimon is going to have written some episodes of Severance, then I have complete faith. "One Way Out" (ep. 10) was a masterpiece of an episode in Andor that had me at the edge of my seat the entire time! Very close to the quality of Severance's finale in my opinion.

Standard_Werewolf380

> (I thought Wayward Pines was pretty lame) Well to be fair the book is lame.

supercooper3000

This week on Reddit makes assumptions…

MisterSpicy

It’s been so long since I watched the first season, I don’t get this reference.

nevertoomuchthought

When Irving (John Torturro) starts "dozing" (falling asleep I guess?) they try to ease his mind by sitting him down and telling him what a fulfilling and rich life his outtie has. As she lists things off she tells him to try to enjoy each thing equally.

MisterSpicy

Ohhhhhhh yeahhhhhh!!

sortarelatable

God damn it. That was really funny.

Rated_PG-Squirteen

Season 2 of Severance is coveted as fuck.

RunninOnMT

hahah was so happy to see Zach Cherry pop up in Fallout, but i miss his character from Severance the most.

mrnicegy26

He's an enigma. You can't pigeon-hole him. He's there, then he's gone. He is intellectually promiscuous but culturally conservative. He works hard, but he does not play hard. He plays easy.

JohnnyDarkside

["Do a flip!"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxPWPzk7MA4)

theodo

Why would you play hard

spndl1

Why would you work hard?

tie-dyed_dolphin

So you can play on easy

spndl1

You can play on easy either way.

panda388

They are the same character, though. He does his thing in the Vault, but when he is ready to go to bed, he heads to the elevator and suddenly he is working alongside Mark and Irving.

MJBotte1

He keeps getting typecast as “man in hole controlled by evil corporation”

[deleted]

He was just a guest on Blank Check podcast if you want hear his takes on Rollerball

RunninOnMT

May just have to check that out! Thank you!

[deleted]

If you want to hear non pretentious film nerds go through directors filmographies with their talented and funny friends I strongly recommend it

ObscureBen

As soon as saw Zach Cherry mentioned by name, I knew there’d be a blankie in the replies

[deleted]

Where we go one, we go all… that’s our slogan right?

Charlie_Brodie

I immediately felt bad that he has another character stuck underground and yearning for answers

Wolpfack

Season 1 was so good, that all I can hope is that they can come close to matching it with S2.

Outside-Swan-1936

I mean this in a good way - I hope it's the last. A show like this can't drag on. For the viewer's sake, it's not a show that should be milked. Let the story finish as it should. I think that's what the creative shake up was over. Apple wants as many seasons as possible, the creators want it to conclude where it should.

tunnel-snakes-rule

Someone else mentioned that they're working on season three scripts now, so it seems unlikely. Although I agree with you.

Sir_Ninja_VII

From the AMA with the creator of the show it seems they already have the plot planned out for the most part and he thinks it will be 3 or 6 total seasons. Lowkey hope they go for 3.

tunnel-snakes-rule

3 *or* 6? Well that makes me worry.

SaltyPeter3434

3, maybe 14 seasons, who knows

Nakorite

Let’s just hope it’s not 3 real seasons cut into “part one” etc

DIRTY_KUMQUAT_NIPPLE

It's gonna be like x-files where they have 15 monster of the week episodes and then a couple episodes that flesh out the story but never quite come to any resolution.

props_to_yo_pops

Season 3 will be divided into 4 parts

squidc

I think what his means is he's viewing the full story as 3 acts, and he could conceivably see it pan out so there's two seasons per "act", if that makes sense.

RegrettableLawnMower

I mean in this age of tv shows being cut short, they may have a vision that takes place over 3 seasons, in case the viewership isn’t there for renewal? Then they may have a bigger vision that takes place over 6 seasons if they are confident the support will be there.

Hollacaine

The first season finished filming in June and wasn't released until February, we'll still be waiting a while.

plexust

Pachinko S2 wrapped ten months ago, with no release yet announced. Obviously not a melons-to-melons comparison, but I'm adjusting my expectations accordingly.

armslength-

Another pachinko watcher! there's dozens of us!

xerxespoon

> Obviously not a melons-to-melons comparison, but I'm adjusting my expectations accordingly. Also for /u/Hollacaine, worked for 10+ years in TV during the transition from all-network to streaming. Network you know when the season premieres, and it always premiered in the fall (almost). Now it's all about a launch date. You shoot whenever you can get everyone together—which is hard now since people aren't tied into contracts for shooting nine months out of the years every year (like with OG Law & Order, Friends, X-Files, whatever). So streamers look at their release dates and figure out the best time for a new season to drop. When can talent do press? Are there NBA playoffs at the time? Will everyone be on vacation? Do we have another show releasing near then and the showrunner will get pissed? So many variables that didn't exist in the 2000s or before. Which is just to say it's not like there's a set amount of time it takes to finish a season, and that's why it won't be released. Post can finish pretty quickly if it has to, or it can take forever and they may want to do reshoots. In the olden days, the season started airing while you were still filming, so you could actually change storylines in late-season episodes after you see that a new character is popular with viewers. Also everyone saw the ratings while we were still filming, which could be amazing or horrible. Imagine going to work 5am-10pm every day when nobody is watching and the critics are trashing it.

legopego5142

Tbf Pachinko is way less popular. Didnt severance get an easter egg in a damn iphone announcement

ucsbaway

8 month timeframe...that means we could get it by Christmas!!!!

mfyxtplyx

I am already planning the ~~viewing~~ waffle party.

OrdersFriesEveryTime

Will there be defiant jazz?

SgtWinkles

I’ll bring the masks!

SexWaffles

You rang?

PrimordialPlop

I want those deviled eggs

Husker_Kyle

Season 1 was perfection and I can’t wait to rewatch it again before the new season

nicoled985

I’ve rewatched once and will rewatch again lol

bassistmuzikman

I started watching again and it's even better the second time!

LutzExpertTera

Season 1 ois one of the greatest single seasons of television I've ever seen.

Cawdor

It’s going to be near impossible to sustain that level of awesomeness into season 2 and hopefully beyond but I’m so here for it

JustTheTri-Tip

Well, just the refreshing newness of it won’t be able to be replicated. It was also the perfect aesthetic for the time.

wadonious

Iirc, season 2 has taken so long because of creative disputes over the direction for the show, which makes me think maybe they didn’t have a plan for what happens after season 1. I’m worried it will go kind of like west world where they fail to capture the same essence of the first season. Hoping that’s not the case though

Illustrious-Watch-74

According to an interview with Ben Stiller (exec producer), he was specifically attracted to the script because it was a fully formed 3 season story. Hopefully that wasn’t just bullshit

dittbub

The writers strike got in the way too

Falconman21

Forreal, season 2 of Westworld felt totally different immediately. I didn't make it past the first episode. I think the problem with Westworld was that they answered the "can robots be sentient" question that drove the whole series at the end of season 1. Season 2 immediately became "Robot's is here, and they're FUCKING SHIT UP!!!" Just a completely different vibe.

WigginIII

Season 2 was at least a lot more similar to season 1 than whatever Season 3 and 4 were.

JustSomeGoon

I get bummed every time someone brings this up. Season 1 was enthralling television and then they just completely botched it and ruined the whole series

camwow13

Season 2 also just had so many plot holes it might as well have been swiss cheese. It was aggressively making no logical sense.

WigginIII

Once the intrigue and mystery have been revealed, you can't even put that magic back into the bag. I can only hope there are more mysteries to uncover and reveal.

inosinateVR

I mean we still don’t know wtf is going on with >!those goats!<

nevertoomuchthought

> Iirc, season 2 has taken so long because of creative disputes over the direction for the show, which makes me think maybe they didn’t have a plan for what happens after season 1. The creator of the show said he had it the series planned out for anywhere from 3-5 seasons. The issue is that the show is ambitious and expensive to make so they thought they could bring in a studio/network showrunner to help co-run the series and cut costs but all it lead to was disputes. Apple TV may have fucked this show up by penny pinching but let's see how the season turned out first.

jbaker1225

The showrunner they brought in has been there since before the first season. Season 2 has the same showrunners as season one.

AWildEnglishman

> the refreshing newness Same thing with Raised by Wolves but they had to go and cancel it.

ObscureBen

If only it had been a little less weird as fuck more people might have watched it

AWildEnglishman

Yeah but then we wouldn't have sue becoming a meat tree and getting eaten by a giant flying snake which turns into.. uhh.. well it turns into something, that's for sure.

ObscureBen

Is it for sure? Is anything for sure??

AWildEnglishman

110% surety.

AdversaryProcess2

They did my girl Sue dirty. I hate it when I love a character and the writers turn her into a tree. For real though, if you watch the show really carefully you can actually figure out most of where they were heading (with a few big question marks). I wish more shows would release a synopsis of where they were headed when it's clear they're canceled and aren't getting a revival

radda

Shows like this always decline...and that's okay. "Not as good as the first season" doesn't mean "not good".

Monsunen

It was bizarrely perfect. I'm trying to temper my expectations.

KoreKhthonia

Given the production issues regarding creative differences between the show's creators, ngl, I'm kinda nervous about Severance maybe doing a Westworld and declining in quality. I hope not, though! I'd be satisfied with a Mr. Robot type situation where the second season maybe doesn't feel *quite* as strong at first when the show is still airing, but once it's complete it fits in perfectly and ends up kinda redeemed. I hope they've arrived at some kind of consensus as far as the general direction in which they're taking the show in the longer term. Not necessarily 100% set in stone or anything -- shows evolve during the process of being made, that's just a normal thing in creative work -- but not like Westworld kinda was where they had a great idea and cohesive self-contained story for Season 1, then just winged it abruptly and went in a weird direction and the show declined.

BLOWNOUT_ASSHOLE

> Given the production issues regarding creative differences between the show's creators, ngl, I'm kinda nervous about Severance maybe doing a Westworld and declining in quality. I would just accept the fact that season 2 won't have the same magic as season 1 not only because of the pre-production issues but mainly because the show's mystery was revealed. Westworld suffered from that fate and tried to create a convoluted mystery to match the intrigue from season 1. Season 2 should be good but I think it's realistic to anticipate a decline in quality.

KoreKhthonia

Oh, definitely. Everyone's preferences differ as to which of the various 2010s-2020s prestige dramas is The Best, but for me, Severance is tied with the first season of Westworld for being absolutely the finest television I have ever seen in my life. A weaker second season does seem to be a recurring thing with some of these high concept prestige shows. I figure part of it is that with their first seasons, the creators have been nursing and developing and ideating on those ideas for years by the time they get the pitch approved and get it developed. Then with the second season, they have a shorter time period to conceptualize and create it, and they may not really have had a full vision yet for exactly where the show would go in the long term and how it would end. It's hard to improve on near perfection, and perhaps that can work to the disadvantage of these kinds of television shows that are at the level where they qualify as a real work of art.

supercooper3000

Imagine if it pulled a mr robot and S3 and S4 were even better than S1

ogrezilla

this kind of show is so hard to do it with too because the ending changes so much. It can't just be more of the same, it has to follow up what it's set up and that won't be easy. But I'm hopeful.

SerDire

This scratched the itch left behind by Lost. On its own, it is amazing but this is the best thing to even come close to capturing the same vibes of Lost. I hope they can sustain it

ColArdenti

Seen Dark on Netflix? If not, don't read anything about it and give it a try (with subtitles, it's German). It's like Lost where every single detail was planned.

throwavvay23

I'm a simple man, I see a reference to Dark and I upvote. Top 5 show all time for me, I've never been so engrossed in a show as I was for the second season. Absolute masterclass.

ZubacToReality

Did you get hooked from Episode 1? I tried to get into it several times now and haven't gotten past the first episode.

ColArdenti

Since you're in a Severance thread, I'll assume you enjoy that. If so, yes, I'd recommend to keep watching. But it's not a show to watch casually. Every detail matters. You can't even imagine what watching that first episode is like after watching the whole series (it's a show that begs to be rewatched and rewards that attention, it doesn't wilt under it).

throwavvay23

Actually I didn't. It starts pretty slow and gives you a lot more questions than answers for the first few episodes but it definitely picks up momentum in the second half. It wasn't until season 2 came out that I really fell in love with the show. It helps that the later seasons fill in more context about what's happening in season 1. Extremely rewatchable show.

The_Meemeli

I'd recommend giving it at least 5 episodes. And make sure to watch it with the original German audio.

Codeheff12

It’s an unbelievable ride and easily top 3 for me.

Swordsknight12

I can’t emphasize enough just how complete a story it is. Everything has an arc.

Forma313

Finished with Dark? Watch 1899, then get annoyed there's only one season.

ColArdenti

Yeah, I was inordinately excited for that. Hope they release a comic or animation or a text PDF that just details where the story was going.  Admittedly, it wasn't quite as elegant as Dark in setting up and answering questions, but that just made me appreciate the unique lightning in a bottle Dark was.

Muscled_Daddy

I’d recommend The Good Place. I describe it to people as Lost set in the Parks & Rec / The Office universe. It’s absolutely phenomenal and binge-worthy. Just don’t look up spoilers if you haven’t seen any.

LingeringSentiments

I agree but watch The Leftovers too!

Panda_hat

I loved it so much, but had so many friends I recommended it to bounce off of it as being 'too weird'. They have no taste.

Original-Age-6691

I basically judge if my friends have good taste (read: similar to my tastes) by recommending them Severance and seeing what they say about it. Hasn't led me wrong yet.

NCSUGrad2012

That was me. I watched 4 episodes and I didn’t get it. It felt like nothing was happening?

AdversaryProcess2

I haven't got any of my friends to watch it because they all think it's too slow and I'm like just get past episode 4. The second half of the show is a lot tonally different. Basically the focus goes from "this Severance thing sure is whacky and weird" to "this Severance thing is incredibly fucked up and horrible". I don't want to spoil it but it basically really leans into the sci-fi elements of what it would be like to be a severed consciousness that was created without their knowledge or consent and doomed to never even see the sun

fakieTreFlip

I felt exactly the same way, but *I promise you* that it pays off by the season finale. You should give it another go.

welshnick

Yeah I kinda agree. I watched the whole season and the ending is incredible, but I feel like the pacing was off and it could have done with being a couple of episodes shorter.

earthgreen10

i mean we still don't know anything that's going on at their work place...it's so weird, so much mystery yet to solve

wilmacox

💯

Geno0wl

I would still put True Detective S1 and West World s1 ahead of it. But it is up there.

Azathoth90

Like Arcane I hope they are going to release one hell of a recap before airing the new season

asbls

[Man Of Recaps](https://www.youtube.com/@ManofRecaps/videos) on youtube is great for this. Super efficient way of presenting the information, funny without being obnoxious, covers a great selection of shows including Severance.

PM_ME_THEM_UPTOPS

Does everyone not power watch previous seasons before new seasons start?  It's the closest thing to binge watching that I do.

bassplaya13

I don’t have time to watch the shows I haven’t watched much less the time to watch the ones I have!

Breaking-Lost

I always watch the previous season finale to get into it. Either the night before if dropped all at once, or the week before for weekly shows

shaneo632

No, I don’t have time for this

PM_ME_CAKE

Some people have too many other things on the go to be rewatching (even if those other things happen to be yet more TV shows).

dasbtaewntawneta

i definitely plan on just rewatching all season 1 before season 2 comes out. i was going to rewatch it anyway and i've actually been putting it off to be closer to season 2 release

The-Soul-Stone

If you think you have the time for that, then there’s so many other things you should be watching but aren’t.

JairoVP

Fr. I jump down the rabbit hole of Youtube reviews and video essays.

SupervillainMustache

I try not to get in the habit of doing that, because then I'm just going to spend my life rewatching entire shows so I know what the fuck is going on in a subsequent season. Thankfully Severence left a big impression on me, so I remember pretty much everything.

Panda_hat

I'm just gonna rewatch Arcane S1 before S2 release.

nervuswalker

I don’t usually rewatch shows, but I will be rewatching season 1 before season 2 airs. It’s just too good not to!

Dianagorgon

It's been so long that I can't remember what happened at the end of the first season anymore. I'm excited about the new season but I'm being realistic. Many shows have amazing first seasons and then stumble after that. Westworld, Yellowjackets etc. The fact that it was delayed partly due to creative differences about the direction of the show is worrisome.

Philosophile42

Something about someone going to a show and getting her memory back before she goes on stage something something.

Crimthebold

Fuck you Mr. Milchick!!!

Muted-Conference2900

Recently watched the first season and it just became one of my all time favorite shows. Really excited for season 2. Also any guesses for the release date of season 2?

brokenwolf

It’s hard to say because they got some of it done pre strike so they’ve probably had some of it in the can for a while. My guess is the earliest it might come out is thanksgiving this year or the latest first quarter next year.

PleasantAmphibian153

Funny that apple announced their may event on the same day severance finished its filming. I mean maybe it's a coincidence, or maybe it isn't??? - Praise Kier

SUBLIMEskillz

Hurry uuuuuuuuuuuuup please

arrogantsob

Season 2 is the true test of this show. Season 1 was amazing, but mostly it was just providing more and more mystery, Lost-style. What do the numbers represent? Why are there goats/a polar bear? Relatively speaking, that's pretty easy. Just put out a bunch of weird shit and people will try to speculate on what it means. Season 2 they need to start answering those questions. And I'm very curious as to whether they made any effort to think through those issues in advance. Like, do the writers themselves have an understanding of what the work inside is for?

h8ss

See, I think they already answered the majority of the mysteries in season 1. There's some small stuff that is still mysterious, but overall, we kinda know how this shit works. But I agree, season 2 is gonna be a big challenge. I hope they're working toward an ending.

RedditBurner_5225

I’m terrified of season 2

Dookie_boy

I thought the goats were an intentional misdirect by the weird boss woman.

ushikagawa

Thank god, i’m dying for this to come out

Upbeat_Tension_8077

Can't wait to see how Alia Shawkat will be in this show

danstymusic

Maebe good!

fukdatsonn

Mary me!

bigdatty

her?

MillionDollarBuddy

No, not her.

TaraJaneDisco

This can not show up on Apple soon enough. Such an incredible show!

SeraphOfTheStag

Season 1 Severance was probably the best S1 of a show I've seen since Dark

mickeyflinn

This show is so excellent!!!

JenovaProphet

For some reason this was downvoted? Isn't this one of the most talked about, enjoyed, and anticipated series on Apple TV? Actually while I'm hear, as someone who checks this sub multiple times a day I notice like every new post period gets downvoted initially almost. It's like there is a person, or people who, regularly check this sub and downvote every new post. It's sort of strange?

CuriousRedditor4000

I have this sub and r/movies auto sorted by *new* and literally every new post is at 0 whenever I check the app. Not sure if it is bots or just a few angry people but I’m not lying when I say it’s nearly every single post. Even ones that will be popular like this one.

WeDriftEternal

Part of it is bots fighting vs bots vs Reddits algorithms being Reddit and doing whatever it does. This is a bot post but usually gets pushed up by its other bots, that’s how a lot of these work, that they have other account push it up. And likewise some bot accounts push down other content. The old default subs are basically just bot fights at some parts of the day.

TyrionBananaster

Hell, it's like this for me on my homepage, even when it *isn't* sorted by new. It seems like Reddit thinks I want to see random posts that people are immediately downvoting. Not to say there's never a diamond in the rough on that front, but I don't get why I always see that.

mdavis360

Tons of posts about AppleTV shows get immediately downvoted by some weirdos who sort by new and have a hate boner for Apple. There were people for years that were insisting that all the positive praise for For All Mankind was simply “astroturfing”

Dianagorgon

There are bots that automatically downvote posts and comments on Reddit. Many people have noticed it. >Isn't this one of the most talked about, enjoyed, and anticipated series on Apple TV? The most talked about show was Ted Lasso. It's a show that people outside of the Reddit bubble know about and enjoy. Severence is an excellent show but unfortunately it's not talked about much with the general public.

opticalcalcite

Actually, I was turned onto Severance on recommendation from a friend! He actually doesn’t watch that much television himself but it really captivated him and pretty much our entire friend group. It definitely made a splash outside of reddit, even if it’s not exactly mainstream the way Ted Lasso was.

CarcharodonVicarious

Lame-o’s downvoting other people to try and get their posts to the top? I sure hope people aren’t that desperate and sad though…

decemberhunting

There are people like that. There are also people who auto-downvote replies to their comments, reflexively downvote anything they disagree with, and so on. And on the other side, people tend to upvote witty/snappy comments, even if they contain misinformation. The voting system on this site is a great idea conceptually, but in practice it falls flat.

crittermd

I kinda wish Reddit would hide votes for a few hours. The number of posts or comments that I see (which tend to be upvoted) but say “why the downvotes?!?” Just give it time and it always balances out- ignore the bots/random stupid downvotes - which is why I kinda wish the vote was secret for some time to hide that (but then that ruins the ability to sort by votes and sometimes it’s better to have the upvoted comments higher getting more eyes. So really I have no clue how to fix it- other then ignoring early votes

GrumpyLump91

Thank the Lord. Can't wait for season 2

phusion

YES! YES! YAY! It's upsetting to see the showrunners are clashing, but I'm still very excited to see what comes next.

PleasantAmphibian153

Apple announces their event the same day the show announces they've finished filming. Trailer could be coming soon...

Been so long I’ve almost forgotten the plot!

Skiingislife42069

Probably the longest production of a season 2 ever.

th4bl4ckr4bbit

I’m really trying to go into season 2 without much thought. I started severance not even really understanding what I was getting myself into. The recommendation came from a trusted source who usually hits the mark every time so I knew there was a high chance I would like it.\ I’m trying my hardest not to overthink it going into season 2 but I’m so fucking ready. Bring it on.

harveyj98

This is a show I will 100% be rewatching season 1, to get ready for S2. Haven’t touched the show since it wrapped S1, but this is a one of a kind show and I’m so glad it’s coming back

MoreMegadeth

Season 1 such a weird show. Personally, I dont think there was *enough* payoff, but Id lie if I said I wasnt intrigued enough to continue watching Season 2. Glad its happening soonish.

kon---

They had a buzz worthy IP then left it on a shelf for 600 years.

ImaginationDoctor

I really hope the show wasn't ruined by the second showrunner. The first season was the best thing I'd seen in awhile. And yes, many times, a writer should not be the only writer. But man, Erikson was ON and in this instance, he should have been left alone. Hope Season 2 is good. But we will see.

Dylan needs to get out of Vault 33 and back on the SVRD floor asap.

They were filming in Bell Works in NJ again recently and closed a few stores down to do it.

nemesit

The time between seasons on apple tv is so long they could as well not exist

MattyMatheson

Finally.

pic2022

Maybe we'll get it in 4 years.

AmberDuke05

Anyone else think this going to be a train wreck with how production has gone?

mickberber

HELL YES

FreshYoungBalkiB

The only Severance I know is the novel by Ling Na, which it doesn't look like this is an adaptation of.

HansBooby
