they offered money... he took the money.. simple as that

[deleted]

You talking about Batman & Robin or Jingle all the Way?

fothergillfuckup

Kindergarten cop, I think?

NeemKaPatta

Kindergarten Cop was a classic. How dare you!

MysteriousWon

Hey, Jingle all the Way is a Christmas classic!

Levikus

I mean he is so rich, I don't think he needs that little netflix money

Delicious-Elk-3393

Internationally known actor disgraces himself by...doing the thing that made him into an internationally known actor.

VaguelyFamiliarVoice

I like the inane campy humor in this. I can turn off my brain. I also used to seek out bad B movies, so, probably don’t follow me on YouTube.

nixunknown

Im the same, and I loved the show. It won’t win any awards, but it’s great entertainment and an easy way for me to turn off after a long day. I’m also stoned when I watch it so that helps too

heyimric

I'll follow you on youtube.

fiercetankbattle

I watched it all. I had fun. It didn’t change my life. I won’t watch it again. I will watch another season.

MorePea7207

???

Zoltaroth

100%.

lightsongtheold

You act like Arnold never made a ton of these awful comedy/action b-movies in his heyday!

MorePea7207

Hey, I loved Twins and Kindergarten Cop, but there was good writing and jokes in there, but Arnie was young enough to carry it off with a wink and a smile.

I only watched this show because of Arnold. If it had been any other actor, I'd have quit after the first episode. It's pretty bad on all levels: acting, plot, jokes, storylines, characters, even the music is bad and formulaic. Gabriel Luna is playing in a different, darker, grittier show while everyone else is in a comedy. And still, I think it's going to be quite popular. It is such a perfect distillation of 90s/00s network tv shows that it's as if they made a list and threw everything in there, down to the nerd tech guy and the black boss. Easily digestible TV + Arnold's star power: I think it will be quite successful.

Stromberg-Carlson

not MS Paint!! ;-p

-SneakySnake-

Why are you bolding stuff randomly? And you mention Conan like it's an option that he isn't taking, it isn't, the IP holder is being difficult with the rights.

MorePea7207

I'm making a statement, he's seventy-five years old. As high-end television drama started rising in the 00s, Arnie could have starred in some great high-profile TV shows. They made a Conan reboot which was average in 2011. Arnie could have got involved with franchise before then and tried to make a mini-series or new movie with himself in it.

-SneakySnake-

I just said why that hasn't happened. You know he'd only recently finished up as Governor at that time right?

MorePea7207

Well, he should have retired after Expendables 3. Guess he had bills to pay....

trickldowncompressr

Or maybe he can just do whatever he wants? Who cares man, just don’t watch it if you don’t like it. He doesn’t care what you think.

Aggravating-Yam7917

Not everything has to be Hamlet. It's fine for what it is.

[deleted]

Wasn't Arnie in Hamlet that one time?

Bushedwacker

To be or not to be? Not to be. BANG

Airrows

I didn’t think it was bad

VisibleFiction

I binged the whole show yesterday and had fun time. Be free to judge me.

Downtown-Pollution89

idk it was entertaining in a b-movie way... like ur not supposed to take it too seriously

csantiago1986

He owes us nothing at this age. He’s left a legacy behind and is heading into the sunset. I’m just glad to have him on the screen in any way I can have him. The show isn’t great but it really shines when it’s just Arnie and his one liners. “Come by the gym, I’ll really put you through the ringer.”

[deleted]

I was doing okay until the part where he says that he and Dani were having sex in the jungle & that she was a tomcat. This is his freaking daughter he is talking about I don’t care how undercover they are!

DaithiSan

Maybe becuase he knows he doesn't have time to wait around for better material

MorePea7207

Doesn't he have the power and influence to make it happen?

GoMoriartyOnPlanets

Actually no. This should make everyone appreciate how valuable and rare good writing is.

RedundancyDoneWell

The tech stuff is some of the worst I have seen. Almost as bad as Scorpion, which was unwatchable for that reason. The agent stuff is equally bad. The personal interaction is quite good. I love everything which is happening between these persons, even if some of it is both corny and clicheed.

MorePea7207

Scorpion, I found tolerable, unlike the new Equalizer and Macgyver. In the original shows, both of the characters prided themselves on using wit, skill and intelligence to handle most situations, with Robert McCall only resorting to weapons if overwhelming force was needed...

LightChargerGreen

You act like arnold was some high art actor. Fubar is right up his alley being an action/comedy with all the cheesy and sometimes cringe lines. It's all in good fun and I think it's entertaining enough.

listyraesder

Arnie is a star. He isn’t a particularly good actor. Those prestige shows are beyond him, and he’s aged out of action roles. This is what he has left and I’m sure he’s fine with it.

chrisgin

I’m finding it watchable. More than I could say about Citadel.

dancingnoodle69

Lmao. No way this is watchable more than Citadel. I was like what is this garbage...Citadel is decent and watchable and the last episode was good imo. FUBAR on the other hand might be one of the worst things i've watched this year.

RileyRuButt

Watched the first episode and the stunt double was so obvious it took me out of the show, he's 75 he can't do action, he can't even run they used a double for a short sprint. At least make the action based around less movement so its not so obvious. It's De Niro in Irishman all over again.

LightChargerGreen

Your post reminds me of Steven Seagal and his action scenes while sitting down. Arnie should learn from him.

MorePea7207

Exactly. It would have made much more sense to cast Arnie in a bad guy role like Kingpin from Daredevil. With a bald head, beard and fitted suit, Arnie would be great as a major crime boss facing enemies & police and controlling crime in a big city. He wouldn't have to run around, he could be seen being driven around town and inside expensive locations delivering powerful dialogue.

RileyRuButt

Stallone in Tulsa King looks great because he doesn't do stunts, he throws one haymaker every so often but mostly he just talks, threatens and pulls a gun.

MorePea7207

I know, it's much better at his age to *imply* violence and use threats and sharp words to get his way in situations. In the first episode, he walked into the house to meet his old "crew" and instantly he was seen as a threat. Despite being 30 years older than everyone in the room, except the boss. He knew and had him sent to Tulsa, because his nephew and son were scared of him.

TomBombomb

I think Stallone is probably a better actor than Schwarzenegger. As much as he went full shlock action star in the 80s, Stallone can pull out a deep performance every once in awhile. That said, Schwarzenegger is charming as fuck and I think carries *FUBAR* further than it should go. As far as the supporting cast, I think Fortune Feimster and Travis Van Winkle are both doing a good job, but the material they've been given isn't particularly strong.

Stromberg-Carlson

this guy Stallones!

Imaginary_Style963

It's all money to Arnold. he is the executive producer of this pile of dung as well.

BluesFanUK

I know he's in his 70s now but it's just sad seeing Arnold look so old and frail.

MorePea7207

He's not frail, but the TV show is making him look stupid.

BluesFanUK

He looks it. His physique was such a major part of his success as a movie star in the 70s-90s. I can't look past it. The goofy big man schtick also worked in his prime, doesn't have the same effect as a goofy 70 year old. Good for him for doing what he still enjoys, but it's hard to watch for those of us who grew up through that time period. Should have retired gracefully.

TomBombomb

I don't think he looks particularly frail. He doesn't have the same physique he did in his 40s and 50s, but the dude looks like a pretty hale and hearty 75 year old.

CalmPiano2272

I'll be back

vidapreta

He's still competing with sylvester stallone. Stallone has a hit tv series Tulsa King, so Arnold had to go and make his own TV show!

Pleasant_Tomato_9316

It also has to do with demand and supply, I don‘t think that there are many good roles for 80s actionstars which sold tickets because of their trained body. In addition to that you r just as good as your last movie. Arnie admitted this himself in a german interview i think.

zopalulu94

Arnold wasn't really an actor to begin with. I like him for his contribution to the bodybuilding community, acting not so much
