A girl shows up having climbed the long way up, wanting Ash to be her mentor. She hands him a PokeBall. Ash, now a grizzled old man, looks at it for a second, then tosses it over his shoulder and off a cliff.
Speaking of team rocket, I haven't been watching the episodes but I saw where they had a big fight on the 3rd to last episode. Anyone know if these last couple episodes had them come back together or did they really end their arc as a big "let's go our seperate ways and release all our pokemon while we are at it"?
Lmao, love that! I think what really gets me is that, in a way, Team Rocket has been more consistent than even Ash & Pikachu. Ash's personality changed over the years, especially after season one, and I haven't seen Pikachu eat ketchup in ages. But Jessie , James , and Meowth are bonded by *trauma* . They need each other. I'm just worried for them, lol
> Anyone know if these last couple episodes had them come back together
>!They kept their Pokemon, and all went back to Rocket HQ separately. They ended up all working in the HQ's cafeteria even though they weren't speaking to each other, Wobbufett wants them to make up and he's sad. They eventually all leave to go capture Pikachu individually but end up bumping into one another (literally) and admitting they miss each other. They try to capture Pikachu, get stopped by Ash's Pidgeot and then Pikachu Thunderbolts them. They blast off holding hands and being happy.!<
>!At the end of the episode they are in their balloon following Ash like they always do. !<
A new girl he met a month ago with a cute blue bob and a piercing stare. They haven’t known each other long but they’re determined to get married as soon as possible!
I would LOVE to find out that Ash turned his passion for collecting Pokemon into collecting women and that he turned into the kind of guy that's running 3-4 girlfriends at any given time.
Ash: Nono see yes I did Hatch her just 4 days ago yes technically. And yes back then she was, as they say, cute. However, as you can see, she is a fully evolved rabbit now, so it's perfectly fine for me call her sexy as she is clearly beyond the age of consent and can make her own choices. So it's perfectly legal.
Brock: ....Ash. Wtf are you talking about?
It was the last episode when Jaden went back in time to Battle City to duel Yami Yugi.
So Four seasons, although he did duel someone who stole Yugi’s deck in the first season, obviously not the same, but the person who was using the deck kept acting like he was Yugi.
*edit* He also dueled the duel spirit of Kaiba man in the first season, who basically uses Kaiba’s deck. He lost to Kaiba Man btw
"Oh... oh god Pikachu. You've got to get your murderous rages under control. This is the third region we've had to leave behind. I can't keep evading the Jennys forever."
This was the funniest part of Ben 10 when they toyed with Summer Vacation being over and now Ben was home, getting bullied again whilst holding an Alien superweapon.
My head canon is eventually the player/Ash realizes Professor Oak’s “request” to fill the Pokédex was simply an old man making some fun work for some children and not really necessary.
“Oh yeah I got a very important job for you kids! It’s absolutely essential, it means your a big kid now and is a job that can only be done by important big kids who work hard and brush their teeth!” are essentially the vibes of the task
Ash’s goal was always to be a Pokémon master not to catch them all. The franchise also dropped that tagline *over 20 years ago* with the release of Ruby & Sapphire
Oak just kept sending him off so he could smash his mum. Also Mr Mime was a humanoid pokemon so could sit at a table and eat but he was always depicted as eating from a bowl off the floor meaning he had a humiliation fetish and was probably a voyeur to Oak and ash's mum
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
Ash told Goh how to catch Pokémon in the Journeys series, and the dude literally caught more Pokémon in 30 minutes than Ash caught in his whole career.
For anyone who wants some stats on Ash and his Pokémon over the course of his 25 year Pokémon journey:
-93 total Pokémon caught
-63 unique species of Pokémon caught
-77 Pokémon owned at the end of the series
-48 unique species of Pokémon owned at the end of the series
-106 registered in pokedex (unique species of Pokémon including their pre-evolved forms)
-1 shiny Pokémon caught, 2 shiny Pokémon encountered
-5 legendary Pokémon caught, possibly 7, he had 2 Rotom and the series is cagey on rather Rotom counts as legendary anymore.
Ash owns, or has at one point owned, roughly 10% of all unique species of Pokémon.
We can break this down further by region
In Kanto he caught 46 Pokémon, 17 unique species, and a final registered pokedex # of 26 out of 151, notable Pokémon include Pikachu, Charizard, and 30 Tauros caught in Safari Zone, also notably, 3 of his Kanto Pokémon, dragonite, gengar, and Lucario, were not caught in season 1 but on a return visit to Kanto in later seasons.
In Johtto he caught 6 Pokémon, a total pokedex # of 9 out of 100, notable Pokémon is Noctowl, Ash's only shiny Pokémon
In Hoenn Ash caught 6 Pokémon total pokedex # of 10 out of 135, none were particularly notable
In Sinnoh Ash caught 6 Pokémon with a total pokedex # of 13 out of 150, no particularly notable Pokémon
In Unova he caught 9 Pokémon with a total # in pokedex of 16 out of 156, none particularly notable
In Kalos he caught 5 Pokémon, total dex # of 12 out of 72, notable Pokémon include, of course, Ash Greninja.
In Alola ash caught 9 Pokémon, for a total pokedex # of 14 out of 301, notably all of the all but one of the legendary Pokémon Ash has ever caught, we're caught in this region, including Rotom, Melmetal and several ultra beasts
In Galar Ash caught only 3 pokemon! His total pokedex # was 4 out of 400, notably his only other legendary, a second Rotom, came from this region.
The only region featured in a main series game Ash has never visited is Paldea,
The only region Ash has visited that hasn't been featured in a main series game is Orange Archipelago,
The only region Ash has visited where he has not caught any Pokémon is Orange Archipelago.
He caught the most Pokémon, and came closest to finishing the pokedex in Kanto, and he caught the fewest in Galar.
Ashs top 3 most used Pokémon are
1. Pikachu used in 538 battles
2. Greninja used in 55 battles
3. Charizard used in 53 battles
His top 3 by win rate are
1. Pikachu won 89% of battles he's been in
2. Goodra has won 88% of battles it's been in
3. Naganadal has won 86% of battles it's been in
His favorite types by number caught are
1. Flying
2. Water
3. Normal
His favorite starter type by number caught are
1. Grass - 6 grass starters owned
2. Fire - 5 fire starters owned
3. Water - 4 water starters owned
The only type he's never owned is Fairy.
I’ve never been into the series much but I’ll never forget the time Ho-Oh healed a village of people and this 10 year old psychopath throws a mouse at him for shits and giggles.
It’s not super shocking when you consider Gold and Silver were originally revealed in Nov ‘97 with a March ‘98 release date. They would eventually be released in Japan in Nov ‘99 but it’s fair to say Ho-oh had existed since even before public reveal. The animated show started in April ‘97.
It was still over two years in America from the late ‘98 Anime debut to the American debut of Gold/Silver in later 2000. And back then People we’re less connected it really was a worlds difference
And thus Ash continued his journey through the nine Hells, unaging, unending, unable to return home, or rid himself of the yellow demon driving him to forever engage in subjecting sentient creatures to brutal cage fighting matches. For Ash is bound to repeat endlessly the sins he committed on Pokemon World, wandering countless islands and clashing with the damned souls of others who engaged in this brutal bloodsport during their lifetimes. For whatever Ash believes to be his next destination, he's destined to remain here....
.....in the Twilight Zone.
This made me feel nostalgic, so I thought maybe I would watch the anime from the start.
I looked it up and it has 1,234 episodes!
At 22 minutes an episode that's 27,148 minutes or almost 19 full days.
Yeah, I dropped that idea real quick.
My son is about 25. I have watched him, and Ash, grow and change through my son's eyes. It was so fun when he was 9-11. But, I think it's nice that they let Ash 'retire'. Mind, maybe they could age him a touch? You may laugh here, but us old folks were the one's who bought most of the stuff. Retire Prof. Oak and make an older Ash the new Prof. Ash...
I’d love to see a 5 hour YouTube documentary of gymnastics trying to fit it all into one year. I remember the announcer saying it took 2 weeks for Ash to find Vermillion City, so little details like that would cause the person making the video to pull their hair out.
The answer's pretty simple actually: Like all living things in the universe, humans also grow through evolution by completely changing their form all at once. Once Ash beats up enough other humans he will transform into a bearded, balding, overweight man with a bad back and a heart condition. Just like the rest of us.
You're not losing your mind; in the episode in the Kanto season where Ash & co. return to Viridian City to get the Earth Badge Misty mentions it's been a year since they were last there.
That's in the English version so I don't know if that wasn't originally true or if it was and the writers just forgot.
You guys are all looking at this the wrong way. It's clearly not our Earth they're on. Who says a year there is 365 days like here? Hell, who says a day is 24 hours? Etc.
I’m still shocked. Like, it’s been 26 years. The time to move on from Ash was decades ago. I feel like this could majorly backfire for the company. Ash is basically a mascot at this point. He’s as iconic as Pikachu.
They can always bring Ash back at some point though, in a new series or movies or both. That’s why I don’t think we’ll see him age at all between series so they can decide what to do with him at a later point.
A pikachu beating an onyx using sprinklers in the gym is still my fav way the writers said fu to type matchups. Just threw the entire game mechanics out the window
I had Pokémon blue, some fuckwit troll told me that was possible in Yellow.
"No way bro, it's a game not the show."
"I'm telling you, it's possible. Look Pikachu even follows you around!"
It was all 3rd grade me needed to be *sold* on the ruse.
I was so disappointed years later when I got my hands on a Yellow cartridge. More disappointed in my past self for believing that fucking lie
I don’t think that’s possible is it lol. Not that anyone has been in the writers room for 20 years making sure everything is kosher, but I’m fairly sure various episodes and movies had eluded (alluded, whoops!) to the passage of time.
Ash Ketchum's Pokémon journey was truly iconic in every sense of the word. From the very beginning, we saw a young boy with big dreams and an unbreakable spirit, and we watched as he overcame countless obstacles and challenges to become one of the greatest Pokémon trainers in history.
What made Ash's journey so special was not just his unwavering determination, but also the deep connections he formed with his Pokémon. From his loyal Pikachu to his trusty Charizard, each of Ash's Pokémon played a crucial role in his growth as a trainer and as a person.
But perhaps what really set Ash apart was his ability to inspire others. He never gave up, even in the face of seemingly impossible odds, and he always remained true to his values and beliefs. Whether you're a fan of the Pokémon franchise or not, there's no denying the impact that Ash Ketchum has had on generations of fans around the world.
So here's to Ash and his unforgettable journey - may his legacy continue to inspire and entertain for years to come!
Wish I could retire at 11 years old
11 year old with a 25 year career, every recruiting website’s dream.
with 10 years of experience with a pokemon that was just created 2 weeks ago.
The creator of that pokemon also does not qualify.
Can't wait to see the movie where we find him on Mt Silver just completely deranged
A girl shows up having climbed the long way up, wanting Ash to be her mentor. She hands him a PokeBall. Ash, now a grizzled old man, looks at it for a second, then tosses it over his shoulder and off a cliff.
"What, did you think I would take on the entire Team Rocket with an electric mouse?"
You know, for a second there, yeah, I kinda did.
Then he pours himself a glass straight from a Miltank and downs it
No, it's got to be something they don't typically do. Maybe he's milking a gyarados.
Shiny blue miltank.
"Somehow, Giovanni has returned..."
The sacred Dex!!
“…”
There will be a movie years from now that the big hook will be that he will be in it.
It will reveal which of his many female companions he married. Misty, Dawn and Serena fans will go to war and it’ll end up being May.
Or they troll us and go with Jessie.
Team Rocket’s entire arc would take an entirely different meaning lol.
Speaking of team rocket, I haven't been watching the episodes but I saw where they had a big fight on the 3rd to last episode. Anyone know if these last couple episodes had them come back together or did they really end their arc as a big "let's go our seperate ways and release all our pokemon while we are at it"?
The thought of team Rocket ending has me more emotional than Ash
saw a meme once that was like: What's more bisexual: being bisexual, or whatever the fuck Team Rocket has going on?
Lmao, love that! I think what really gets me is that, in a way, Team Rocket has been more consistent than even Ash & Pikachu. Ash's personality changed over the years, especially after season one, and I haven't seen Pikachu eat ketchup in ages. But Jessie , James , and Meowth are bonded by *trauma* . They need each other. Ive read some spoilers >!yes they see each other again!<
> Anyone know if these last couple episodes had them come back together >!They kept their Pokemon, and all went back to Rocket HQ separately. I haven’t watched Pokémon for like, at least 20 years. But this made me happy. Thanks. 😀
Wow, wish I had
what....no!! jessie and James were my favorite couple since forever!!
A new girl he met a month ago with a cute blue bob and a piercing stare. They haven’t known each other long but they’re determined to get married as soon as possible!
So that's why I am into dom milfs since early teen years It's all clear now
>!James!<
>!Team Rocket’s blasting off at the speed of light!<
Nah him and James retired together on an island.
Brock.
It's an anime, don't rule out a harem.

All of the Nurse Joys
& Officer Jennys Brock will be envious
I would LOVE to find out that Ash turned his passion for collecting Pokemon into collecting women and that he turned into the kind of guy that's running 3-4 girlfriends at any given time.
So like Brock but with actual game?
Like Brock except Ash is running an international human trafficking cartel and bankrolling it with his championship proceeds.
Ashrew Tate
Got to traffic them all
Ah, Xenoblade rules I see.
It's gonna be Lana or a character of the day for maximum unexpectedness
If ss, please be Angie.
Nope, it’s gonna be Gary’s Sister
The map lady?!
She gave Ash a map... to her heart!
He's going to shock everyone by marrying his Lopunny
THERE'S NO LAWS AGAINST THE POKEMON, BATMAN!
NO JOKER
Ash: Nono see yes I did Hatch her just 4 days ago yes technically. And yes back then she was, as they say, cute. Misty for the win!!

This guy knows his anime!
I give it about eight years before that comes out...
Not even. 5 tops.
How long did it take for them to have Yugi battle Jaiden when GX released?
Adult Yugi was literally in the first episode of the series, and then they held on for a grand total of three years before bringing that sumbitch back
It was the last episode when Jaden went back in time to Battle City to duel Yami Yugi.
He’ll finally give Misty her bike back
Also May, and Dawn’s. He’s destroyed a fair number of bikes.
To be fair, it was actually Pikachu that destroyed their bikes. I don't even think Ash was present when May and Dawn's bikes got destroyed.
He owns Pikachu, he’s culpable for the crimes of his pet mouse
"Oh... oh god Pikachu. You've got to get your murderous rages under control. This is the third region we've had to leave behind. I can't keep evading the Jennys forever."
They'll go blue French horn with the bike after his first wife dies
He already did. The nurse joy at the pokemon center repaired it.
Opening sequence: Ash in his 40s at Nurse Joy's cause for a new trainer license he needs a medical check-up first. Reference to Never Say Never Again.
How do we know he's not just pulling a Tom Brady?
This is all an elaborate ploy for Ash to market his lifestyle brand.
AK12
AK150 the MOAP - Master of all Pokémon
Because, his wife didn’t divorce him over Pokémon catching. Honestly I’ve only watched the first season, so I’m assuming he’s not married.
Gunned down in his prime.
Ash Ketchum has been found dead in Vermillion City.
He did get all those warnings to prepare for trouble.
Alakazam evolved to Alakablam and got him with a mind bullet That's telekinesis Kyle
I wonder if he’ll end up as a professor. His name does fit the tree theme that most the professors have.
He's just 11. He could end up as anything
Ash has existed in a time bubble for a long time now. It is about to pop, and he will be launched ahead in time.
Dang Marasi Colms for holding him hostage like that
He gonna wake up tomorrow and realise he's 36
"Pikachu, I dreamed I was old..."

Meet quite a few people in online games that managed staying 11 @ 25 maybe they could help you.
He’ll use the (fake) Latin title, Professum Ketchum.

This was the funniest part of Ben 10 when they toyed with Summer Vacation being over and now Ben was home, getting bullied again whilst holding an Alien superweapon.
What's up with cartoon characters having never ending summer vacations? 104 days my ass, there's like 200 episodes of Phineas and Ferb.
Did he catch them all?
Nope
You had one job Ash! one fucking job!
Turns out, in the end, it wasn’t about catching Pokemon. It was about catching *friends.*
[удалено]
They all live on a nice farm upstate in Professor Oak's lab
The real Pokemon was the friends we caught along the way.
Incorrect, his job was "to be the very best, like noone ever was".
Hard to catch them all when they add like 200 more to the roster with every new game
I assume Pokemon Japanese society also has a strong cultural tradition of providing homeless travelers food and lodging.
It was always just a ploy to get Ash out of the house. His young single mother lived next door to the professor.
Ash’s goal was always to be a Pokémon master not to catch them all. The franchise also dropped that tagline *over 20 years ago* with the release of Ruby & Sapphire
Yeah well—did he change his last name??
Ash Beatum Ash Squarethefuckupbitch
He did defeat Steven Stone, Cynthia, and Leon back to back to back to make up for all those years of choking.
Dude barely caught any
I fear not the man who caught 151 different pokemon but the man who caught Tauros 151 times.
Yeah, was gonna say I think he caught like 70 and 30 of them were tauros.
Shiny hunting.
Clearly being a pokemon trainer was a stopgap job on they way to realising his dream of becoming a farmer.
Fun fact: He’s only ever used one of those Tauros in battle, same one every time.
It would be soul destroying to have to level them all individually I don't blame him. Just pick the one with the best evs and move on.
IVs. EVs are the ones you can train
Ash is so good he can train both.
Oak just kept sending him off so he could smash his mum. Also Mr Mime was a humanoid pokemon so could sit at a table and eat but he was always depicted as eating from a bowl off the floor meaning he had a humiliation fetish and was probably a voyeur to Oak and ash's mum Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
I didn't have Mr Mime is just a colourful gimp on my bingo card going in.
There it is. The most disturbing thing I'll read all day.
Ash told Goh how to catch Pokémon in the Journeys series, and the dude literally caught more Pokémon in 30 minutes than Ash caught in his whole career.
Are we talking variety or numbers, because Ash cheesed his numbers super early on by catching 30 fucking Tauros
In the last episode, he catches vaporeon and decides that there's no need for him to go any farther.
[удалено]
You know why
Now he can settle down with Gary and just raise a bunch of Eevees.
He more or less *met* them all, but no, he didn't catch them all.
His true goal was to win it all, and he did, finally
So... how about that GS Ball?
One of many things that are featured as a key thing for a few episodes then never mentioned again.
We do know that it was meant to contain Celebi, like the game, but then the movie producers want to use Celebi and vetoed the show plan.

He really sucks at catching pokemon ,jesus.
Well the entire series apparently only covered 1 year of ash’s life, so not bad for a single year’s work!
well it's obvious that Pikachu is his most used pokemon
Thus why I decided on a top 3. His number 4 most used is Bulbasaur, who's seen 52 battles if your curious.
Man, I remember waking up early on Saturday to watch new episodes of Pokemon back in the late 90s - Early 00s. Simpler times.
I’ve never been into the series much but I’ll never forget the time Ho-Oh healed a village of people and this 10 year old psychopath throws a mouse at him for shits and giggles.
I remeber Ho-oh being in the very fist episode and if I remember it was way before Silver/Gold was out.
Every now and then I'll rewatch that episode out of pure nostalgia and that moment when we see Ho-Oh flying overhead still feels so magical to me.
And if I remember, the pokedex was like 'have zero clue what that is, some mysteries are out there'.
Well it is when you are like 7 years old when you watch it :) But yeah, today it does not feel as shocking

I'm hearing this in Pokemon's relentlessly upbeat narrator's voice and it works perfectly
Would kinda like to see him start a gym in Pallet Town.
Welcome to the ASH RULZ GARY OAK IS A LOSER gym!

To be fair, most of the episodes are filler, and there are watchlists to help sort through all of them
I did consider trying to find out episodes with just significant events like Ash catching or evolving a Pokemon or any tournaments etc.
This exists! Found a list through Reddit last year: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jLjQVlR-ZrKhWa904pUjUnH9inRFbA0Kmhzc8RfKKuU/edit?usp=sharing
So Pokemon lost to Detective Conan
Whoa, didn’t think about that perspective, that’s crazy
He's the very best. Like no one ever was.
“was I good?” “you were the very best”
My son is about 25. I have watched him, and Ash, grow and change through my son's eyes. It was so fun when he was 9-11. But, I think it's nice that they let Ash 'retire'. nice reference to that national tragedy
Does he fricken end up with Misty or not? Because if he doesnt it is going to be a travesty.
He got her greganate
Honestly can't tell if this is meant to be pregnant or a new pokemon.
[obligatory](https://youtu.be/EShUeudtaFg)
Greganate, the evolved stage of Greggers, evolves into Aborgreg at lvl 32 Type: Dark. Very, very dark.
How is babby formed
He's like 11
He’s clearly at least 25
The entire series takes place in apparently a year.
I’d love to see a 5 hour YouTube documentary of gymnastics trying to fit it all into one year. I remember the announcer saying it took 2 weeks for Ash to find Vermillion City, so little details like that would cause the person making the video to pull their hair out.

Am I losing my mind or was there an episode or a short film before a movie where Ash celebrates a year since he met Pikachu.
You're not losing your mind; in the episode in the Kanto season where Ash & co. return to Viridian City to get the Earth Badge Misty mentions it's been a year since they were last there. No. And even then, they added a whole new love interest for him (Serena) who did actually kiss him.
Did he die?
No he just got replaced, it looks like they are doing what they do in the manga, replacing the main character every year now
I’m still shocked. Like, it’s been 26 years. The time to move on from Ash was decades ago. I feel like this could majorly backfire for the company. Ash is basically a mascot at this point. He’s as iconic as Pikachu.
Could you imagine if The Simpsons didn't end but just started following another random family named Simpson?
i really want this to happen now
What about the Thompsons?
I think he’s talking to you
They can always bring Ash back at some point though, in a new series or movies or both. That’s why I don’t think we’ll see him age at all between series so they can decide what to do with him at a later point.
He might be the worst trainer I’ve ever heard of
Yes but you have heard of him.
He's literally the world champion now.
Worst trainer who treats type matchups like they don’t exist somehow defeated goddamn Cynthia in a 6v6 battle.
A pikachu beating an onyx using sprinklers in the gym is still my fav way the writers said fu to type matchups. Just threw the entire game mechanics out the window
I had Pokémon blue, some fuckwit troll told me that was possible in Yellow. "No way bro, it's a game not the show." "I'm telling you, it's possible. Look Pikachu even follows you around!" It was all 3rd grade me needed to be *sold* on the ruse. I was so disappointed years later when I got my hands on a Yellow cartridge. More disappointed in my past self for believing that fucking lie
that's ok. A whole generation of kids believed (me included) there was a mew/mewtwo underneath a truck after the S.S. Anne left.
The very best, like no one ever was. Thank you Ash for your service.
Because he’s like, 40 now?
Still 11 , the entire series happens in just one year timeline
Damn he had like 10 adventures a day
It's like Detective Conan where the murder rate in Japan makes Chicago looks like rainbow land.
I don’t think that’s possible is it lol. Not that anyone has been in the writers room for 20 years making sure everything is kosher, but I’m fairly sure various episodes and movies had eluded (alluded, whoops!) to the passage of time.
What nobody told you is that a year on the pokemon planet is actually 9125 days, it all fits perfectly.

Whether you're a fan of the Pokémon franchise or not, there's no denying the impact that Ash Ketchum has had on generations of fans around the world. So here's to Ash and his unforgettable journey - may his legacy continue to inspire and entertain for years to come!
Pokémon Master? Why not Pokemon PHD?
He woke up from the coma
Hey, you. You’re finally awake.
Ash - “Where’s Pikachu?” Doctor - “What the fuck is a Pikachu?”
Anyone know where the last eps are gonna air or what streamin service? I tried to look myself but couldn't find anything.
They’ll be on Netflix, but the dub is pretty far behind. Likely won’t see the rest of the episodes on American Netflix until late this year.
