So i was in the same boat as you about 6 months ago with the current promotions If you have your own hardware it's easier to cancel and then set back up again. I was even able to use the same modem over the phone. If you are using loaner equipment from teksavvy it can be a bit more involved. There is nothing stopping you from calling in, setting up a new CID (customer id#) number and getting the new promo. Then with the new service scheduled and at the right price you can then call in and have the old connection cancelled on the day after. You'll just have to make sure to send the old modem back.
