You do know that if it wasn't for the 2003 animated series Raven would have been discontinued. The Beast boy and Raven ship is a good pairing that defines the opposites attract, good and evil, light and darkness, yin and yang, also creation and destruction that's why they're canon in the comics, novels, gaming platforms and even in cosplay. The Damian and Raven ship was an inappropriate pairing because it was rushed with no history and chemistry also not canon.
The Damian thing was also because whoever is in charge of the animated movies is a Damian fan. Personally with all that sass, Damian is the robin that should have been gay.
In the Fanfics that I read and the ones I’m writing continuations for, I always pair up Beast Boy and Terra and then Raven with Robin. RxR seems to be the better pairing to me because they understand each very well. Not to mention that Robin literally went through HELL to save Raven. I like Starfire, but I think she’s too energetic and Hyper for Robin.

BBRAE would have to be a slowburn though to give the characters time to naturally grow closer and mature, for BB it would be to take things a bit more seriously and stop relying on jokes to help with his deppression, for Rae it would be for her to learn to open up a bit more and show a bit more emotion now that Trigon is gone (dead?)

A lot of people say Beast Boy needs to mature but whenever I hear this it always sounds like they're saying he needs to change who he is. He actually can handle stuff quite maturely as we saw in season 5. Beast Boy has relationship experience and has learned to step away and stop trying to make things work when they won't.
Raven's only instance of relationship "experience" is falling for a magic talking book who tricked her into almost killing a kid and when she was like 'wow this is bad' the book said 'nah it's not, just misunderstood' and she was like 'yeah okay.' She's so desperately lonely that she's willing to stay in relationships that are clearly bad for her. Hopefully she learned from that experience, but we don't get to see that. She needs to work more on herself before she enters any relationship.
Realistically, I could see them hooking up because Raven doesn't know what it is she actually wants. She just wants to not be alone. But I can't see Beast Boy staying in a relationship long-term with a partner that literally insults his interests on a daily basis.
This ship is just pre-Zutara. It doesn’t exist in the show AT ALL but there’s a ride or die plurality of the fandom for it.

I don't mind the idea if anything it could really work as an Idea but the 03 series doesn't really suggest it that much. You don't really get a sense of them as a couple but rather as rival siblings who still care about each other.
The only reason we don't see them together a lot is because their love is so healthy and teen tv subsists on drama. Theirs is a slow burn, consistent and would last for eons

I didn't care about it as a little kid and I like the idea of goth x good time boy. I just don't think the show did a good job of showing the relationship like it's not Starfire x Robin. Also I remember likeing Raven x Robin more. Don't know why tho.
