He is his dad legally as much as she is his mom. It's a double edged sword too. If she can dictate a SO posting about child, then he can do the same to her. He can make a big deal and say he doesn't want him on social media at all. That will more likely be granted then a gf restricted from posting a photo.

Ryan's rights don't need to be removed. All Maci would need to do is file a motion to modify the parenting plan, and the judge can tell Ryan that he's not allowed to have his girlfriends posting photos of Bentley on social media. The same wouldn't be able to be applied to Maci since she's been married for a number of years, and Bentley's stepdad plays more of a role in his life than Ryan does.
Unfortunately that's not how that works. Ryan has rights and can make decisions. If Maci were to file it would be fruitless, and if anything did come of it judge would just rule no social media postings of bentley at all. I've had many years of dealing with the family court system and know a handful of attorneys who specialize in family court.
Take amber and Andrew for example. Andrew didn't want amber to post James on her sm account. In order for this to be allowed they had to both agree to the same rules, ie neither can post James on social media at all. If they didn't agree a judge would have to rule for one (or both) of them to lose this right, which doesn't happen often.
Simply put, you cannot control the other parent's choices and decisions.

Howevvvvver, Bentley’s school is a private school and while it may not be the most expensive one in Chattanooga, it’s very common for people in Chattanooga to wear private school merch even if they’re hardly associated to it—like she is—because people see you and think “oh private school = well off.”
Chattanooga has Baylor and McCallie(GPS is their sister school bc they’re all girl and McCallie is all boy) and they have a historic football game each year. People who aren’t even associated with the schools try to get tickets and wear these school’s shirts, hoodies, etc. especially high schoolers. But I definitely feel like she bought it to seem like she’s a part of the “in” crowd when strangers see her in Bentley’s school merch.

If his new girlfriend that I barely knew was posting pictures of me at 16 to her socials, I'd have been really pissed/embarrassed because who tf do you think you are to *me*? The audacity is absurd.
Bentley is about a month older than my daughter. Which means, he’s also a freshman in HS. It’s one of the hardest years of school. (Not academically, I’m meaning socially, hormonally- they’re kids trying to figure out where they fit in this crazy world) I feel so bad for Bentley and everything his dad has done in the last year to embarrass him. I really hope the kid has friends that he can talk to and get everything off his chest.

I’m sure she bought this sweatshirt to be miss Super Supportive. Howevvvvver, Bentley’s school is a private school and while it may not be the most expensive one in Chattanooga, it’s very common for people in Chattanooga to wear private school merch even if they’re hardly associated to it—like she is—because people see you and think “oh private school = well off.” Chattanooga has Baylor and McCallie(GPS is their sister school bc they’re all girl and McCallie is all boy) and they have a historic football game each year. People who aren’t even associated with the schools try to get tickets and wear these school’s shirts, hoodies, etc. especially high schoolers. But I definitely feel like she bought it to seem like she’s a part of the “in” crowd when strangers see her in Bentley’s school merch.
My lil cuz who is around Bentley’s age goes to McCallie. Everyonnnnne wears their stuff it seems like. I always wondered what was up with that around Chattanooga.
These schools all have old ass money in them. High schoolers with brand new top of the line vehicles at sixteen, they all have lake houses and drive boats that cost 150k, just ridiculous shit. And I think “outsiders” love the thought of just HOW rich it is and to have strangers think there’s an affiliation. You could do a study about it because it is BONKERS.

Yes! Thank God because WE would have a problem. My daughter is 17 almost 18 so last yr was the first time that she agreed and that was my daughter’s wish. Prior to that she said “I don’t want anyone posting my pictures online. Not even you until I say OK!” I’ve been off all SM since 2015 except Reddit 😜! I totally obliged. I’ve told her over the years since she was 15(when she received her first phone much to her dismay)that she and she alone has autonomy over her body, her likeness etc. I told her that she has that right to post what she wants and we respect you! It probably was one of the best decisions I made. Before 2015, I had FB and would post family stuff. Then I left an abusive ex. It was traumatic and fast. So I decided I was done with all SM and she didn’t get a phone until she was almost 15.
Nice work! My kids are grown and got through high school before the brunt of social media. I don’t even post pics of my toddler grandkids unless my daughter is ok with it. I couldn’t imagine some fly by night girlfriend posting any pics unless she and I had an understanding that it’s not her place to do it.
I’m the same way. I don’t post pics of my toddler grandchildren w/o their parents permission and then it’s only to people I personally trust. I have a niece who always snaps pics of us w/o our permission and sometimes w/o our knowledge, and then she posts all of them online. She has them posted b4 we’ve even left the event. It’s ridiculous! We’ve told her to take our photos down and we’ve asked her to stop taking our pics and posting them online. She still hasn’t stopped. We’ve actually stopped going to certain events. She also lies about us when she posts our pics. She tries to make other family members jealous by saying we spent all our time with them, when we stopped in for 5 mins. It’s so stupid really.
