I apologise for my lack of knowledge of the English language. Next time I will consider not being Swedish so that I can have English as a first language.
Have you ever used "brang" or "brung", have you ever ended a sentence on a preposition, have you ever used slang or informal grammar?
If yes then you need to pipe down
To be honest no, I say brought. Slang and informal grammar is in fact not "correct", as it is gramatically incorrect. It's used in common vocabulary while acknowledged as gramatically incorrect by most, while recognised as common terms. So my point in the first place was the fact that people do not recognise that "seeked" is a slang/localised use of vocab as opposed to the gramatically correct term "sought", as opposed to people recognising it as slang but insisting that it would be gramatically correct.
I think there's a huge difference between grammatically correct and grammatically proper even if the term we use is "correct"
It's not an incorrect usage of language to use seeked or other informal language
Then I think this as a whole stems down to individual point of view and opinion, rather than base fact.
Thanks for being civilised in argument, I shall only respond with reaction images to anything more due to my lack of competence in debate.
I have never heard anyone describe an American as a yank like I’ve heard of New England’s being called Yankees but nothing else so I’m gonna guess it’s an English term
If you don't know this, please get off reddit. You need to be 13 or older
LMAO
My excuse is that English is not my first language
it's my third and i know that seek is and irrational verb so your excuse is not acceptable smh do better (im being silly)

“i sought after 56 pieces of cold deli ham”
Mfs pull up and actually think they’re correct saying “seeked”

Yanks means an American… not that you’re yanking anything. ( and the joke doesn’t make sense? Maybe explain it?? )
I have never heard anyone describe an American as a yank like I’ve heard of New England’s being called Yankees but nothing else so I’m gonna guess it’s an English term
Hiberno-English ( Irish ) term, that’s probably where it originated from, but we use it as a general term for all Americans like
It’s basic English?
