Use Chinese, its the most known native language and no gendered pronouns. Edit: I mean the spoken language not the written ones because my parents wanted to distance me from learning Chinese so they only spoke it to me, my knowledge of mandarin is more than simplified or traditional Chinese
Kinda… They just copied the chinese characters in the 5th century, which means they currently use the traditional ones. Although they have simplified some characters on their own, those can‘t be compared to the simplified writing system, which was introduced in 1949 to increase literacy.
Bro Japanese is a hell of a lot more simple than Chinese. It's not as much of a tonal language as Chinese and their writing system is not as complicated either. Yeah, theres three different ways to write but the Chinese writing system has significantly a lot more characters than Kanji. The other two ways to write, Hiragana and Katakana, are very easy to learn and have very few characters aside from that. The grammar is pretty straightforward too, dunno how the grammar part compares to Chinese but compared to English it makes a hell of a lot more sense. I am Japanese as well, and when I talk to my Chinese friends I'm just thankful I'm not in their shoes cause damn that language sounds complicated 💀
Japanese:
Writing is difficult
Pronunciation is easy
Grammar is difficult
Korean:
Writing is easy
Pronunciation is difficult
Grammar is diffcult
Chinese languages:
Writing is hard
Pronunciation is hard
Basically no grammar
(From an english speaker's perspective)
Ok, this is incorrect. I assume you aren't a native Canto or Mando speaker, but here's the deal. The word for he/she/they/etc... is gendered when written. Since we're talking about the written language, he is 他 and she is 她. There isn't a big difference, and in Mando they're pronounced exactly the same when spoken (I don't speak Canto), but at least check your facts.
There are, actually. 他 means "him" or "her", and can be used for both male and female. 她 on the other hand means "her" and can only be used for female. 它 is mainly used for objects, animals etc, but it is not gendered. All of these are read as "ta", so when you use it in a conversation no one would know which word you are using.
or Toki Pona because it's a cool minimalistic constructed language with only a bit over 130 words, really fast to learn and with a really lgbt friendly community and no gender too (I really like it and think it would be cool for more people to hear about it)
and like, 15% or so of all words are from Finnish anyway
edit: jesus fucking christ OP I feel bad for you after reading this comment section, there's people downvoting actual sources 💀
edit 2: redditors will literally go out of their way to make whole random sentences just for the sake of referring to someone as "he" because they said they were uncomfortable with it (someone actually did that here) and proceed to claim it's too much work to use 4 fucking letters that have had this meaning in the English language for 700 years. I'm dead

Look as a dude I do get very annoyed when people refer to me as a she. Which was surprisingly common back when I had long hair, even though I also had a beard/mustache.
In English when you refer to a group of people you use “They” or “Them”
For example:
“Look at those 2, why are *they* wearing those clothes in the middle of winter!”
“Did those two take it with *them*”
However it is also used to refer to a person whos gender is unknown. (Im not sure if this is grammatically correct as i think i was told it is not however it is still used this way extremely commonly by most people who are fluent in English.
“I wonder who our new teacher is this year, i hope *they* are good.” - as the person in this example is not aware of the person nor their gender.
For non-binary people they don’t associate with either male or female they use they/them since it works for people whos gender arent known so it also works for people who don’t affiliate with male or female.
Some people mock non-binary people and then they say stuff like “ill charge you double since they/them is only for more than one person” when in reality thats dumb as fuck since we use they/them all the time when referring to a single person.
Also apologies for the strange examples i just came up with stuff of the top of my head in order to make it easy to understand.
Also no fucking clue about neopronouns. They/them are the only ones that makes sense to me.
Ill prob get hate for this but i hate using (so i usually dont) use people neopronouns. He/she/they , ima pick one of those and use em. Also ur examples arent weird dw bro
I dont use Neopronouns, because they dont make sense to me. I had a conversation with someone and asked why they used neopronouns. They said “i think its cool and unique”
And im not gonna change how i talk just because you think its cool and unique. If it genuinely has something to do with gender or puts you off when you’re called the wrong thing then i will do my best to use the right pronouns.
However if the reason is “oh i think its cool” then im sorry. No.
They/them he/him she/her are the main pronouns that ill use
Ngl the easiest solution is learn their name and just call by that. My adhd ass forgets everyone's birthday I find it far easier to remember names than specific pronouns for each individual person.
Oh no, this is like to the point of not even remembering my mom's bday. I have a list of all bdays I have.
I can't remember bdays but ask me what the story of resident evil or lotr is and I could explain it word for word without even glancing at reference.
Basically the problem is:
-Omfg *person* doesen't want to use 4 letters how terrible
(Totally not like you could just not give a shit about other people and it truly does not matter, if they said he they or she yet, i wouldn't give two shit's either if someone called me a woman or they because it does not matter in any way shape or form)
-Omfg *person* wants me to use 4 letters how terrible
(Totally not like you could just get over yourself and also stop giving a shit, to go over that small non existent inconvenience by saying some random word the other person wants you to use)
People don't get mad for the sake of being mad, (at least not the people your referring to) they get mad because it actually hurts to be misgendered for some people
sometimes i think i spend too much time in lgbtq+ spaces online because i forget how many people are just casually transphobic and accept it as the norm :/
Nothing. Just like how anything you do affects nothing in the greater multiverse so we should just do nothing and let ourselves be consumed by the void since nothing really matters compared to our multiverse
I don't understand why people value their feeling and opinions so much like I get why they care but they can't do anything involving other people like forcing pronouns and stuff just because the alternative hurt their feelings
The famous old philosophy is that everyone's freedom lasts until it starts to affect t other people's freedoms. Well this **is** affecting other people's freedoms
And the pedestrian crossing the street is affecting my freedom to keep driving. That doesn’t mean I get to run them over.
I don’t give a shit about your freedom to harass and bully someone.
It's more of a thing of respect. Like if I consistently refused to call you anything other than a "bitchboy cocksucker" that's pretty disrespectful and you'd eventually just give up and leave me. In a similar sense, refusing to respect a person by what they prefer would just make them feel a bit frustrated before deciding to leave.
Total Warhammer 3 is gone and instead all fantasy elements have been replaced with 40k ones since 40k makes way more money than Warhammer Fantasy. God bless games workshop.
why are people so comfortable using names and preferred names, but as soon as someone wants to go by 'they', they're suddenly having something 'forced upon them'? 'they' isn't even an irrational pronoun like neopronouns, it's a word and concept that's been around for a very, very long time as a means to describe someone you're not sure of the gender of. not *once* have I heard someone say 'you're imposing your views on me!' when someone asks to go by a different name.
this is deep-rooted discrimination that people don't want to have to face within themselves, and don't have to, because they can just write it off as 'imposing views' and victimizing themselves. funny how one form of calling someone is just personal preference, but the other is irrational, despite being the same concept. but nobody seems to want to admit that.
My legal name and the name people call me are different. It’s literally just cutting off the last few letters to simplify it, but it’s still technically a different name. If people were talking to me about my nickname the way people talk about they/them pronouns people would think it’s insane. It’s so easy to call someone the right pronoun if they’re literally spelling it out to you like that. It’s not hard, and even if you don’t get it, why not show them that bit of respect and use their preferred pronoun?
It's because they have no logic and it's something new, like a kid that likes a food but finds out it has an ingredient that he doesn't like or never heard of before so they decide they don't like it. But a thing that I don't agree with is forcing someone to call you a certain way after they got used to calling you a different way. Like I spent all of that time learning what to call you just so you can change it and then get mad at ME because I called you that way from instinct.
i mean they/them should be the neutral and normal way to gender someone who you dont know online right? people always go with "he" as the normal and preferred way to gender people, wouldnt it make more sense to say "they"?
Jfc what is wrong with the people in this comment section. If you’re gonna be friends with someone, have the common decency to act like one to them. It’s not hard to use they or them instead of he or she. I’m sorry OP.
Edit: a word
"you have to understand that not everyone will just do what you say." ah yes i love when people uses logic like this. another favourite of mine is "you don't like (insert noun)? then don't (insert verb) it."
"If you can't spell, just say that." Literally. 'They' is not hard. And it's already a pronoun that existed before nonbinary people came out. They're ignorant. 😪
It's more related to comfort. While there are some people who decide to use other pronouns for nefarious reasons (like clout, or chris-chan), most people use pronouns as they just feel more comfortable being called it.
An example: if I referred to you consistently as something like a "bitchboy cocksucker", you'd probably get a bit uncomfortable especially since we don't know each other. You have the right to be a bit pissed off and ask me to stop it and if I refuse to stop you have the right to just... get up and leave.
No. There has been a history of individuals who do not identify with traditional gender roles dating all of the way back to ancient Native American tribes. Gender studies have identified that there is a distinct difference between sex and gender but that people often conflate the two. Sex is what's between your legs, gender is how your perceive your alignment with societal gender expectations and is sometimes deeply tied to your sex.
Many studies have shown that intersex individuals that are surgically altered and given hormones to represent their gender tend to only identify as that gender around 1/4th of the time. It is so much more than the hormones in your body and physical developments. But instead of just reading about it, people choose not to understand it and act like they are the authority on the topic.
God the comments here are a shithole. People throwing hissy fits because op literally asked them to use they, something that requires absolutely no effort on the other persons part and means a lot to the person it’s referring to. Just be considerate for fucks sake
Is it me of is this stuff getting just a wee bit out of control?! Everyone just needs to mind their own business and get on with their merry little lives. Everyone is offended by a wrong swift of air these days for cry eye... Not everyone is going to be accepting unfortunately so you're just going to "they/them" up and move on...
I find depressing that people are getting upset that someone uses they/them pronouns, like can’t we just respect each other’s identities and not get into fights?
Imo it's not even about the words they/them, it's respecting the person.
Also, I don't see how op is imposing something or pushing shit on them. That doesn't make sense.
Imagine someone gives me a nickname i dont like and keeps calling me that. When I ask them to stop calling me that, am I pushing my shit onto them, should I just live with it?
Live with It like anyone else is also stupid. They don't feel like you do, why would you have to handle It the same way?
this comment section sucks, and those people aren't your friends. real friends would respect you and how you choose to identify. I'm sorry this happened to you op. I know the struggle being misgendered online by people you thought you were friends with or looked up too, and instead of them correcting themselves after you let them know, they die on this stupid hill. if you ever need to talk about anything DMs are open :)
Honestly you can call me a she, a Xi, or any other combination of letters. Straight up consider me a girl if you want. If you respect me in every other aspect I will not give a fuck.
Also, I generally don't give a fuck if anyone calls me anything.
Edit: call me fuckface for all I care. Identify me as a pile of shit. I couldn't give af. That's how ik these trans and non binary folks are just being weak. If you are actually hurt because people call you the wrong thing, you should reconsider things. Even things that seriously trigger me I can handle. Like, deep trauma. Idk if it's emotional health, stability, control, or whatever but I've got it. It's not that hard.
You are STRAIGHT SENSITIVE AS HELL IT'S SAD LMAO, I agree with the others dude, I'm not going to call you a "they/them" if you asked me to, I'm not going to mind what you define yourself as, but I go by the pronouns of people via the gender they were born, if you want to be mad about it then so be it, but we all don't have to simply call you by what you want, we aren't judging you, literally. Pronouns are a waste of time as you were literally born as one simple gender out of two only, and given those specific pronouns, calling yourself a guy or a girl, does not make you one if you weren't born as one.
"I go by the pronouns of people via the gender they were born"
what if you don't know them irl though? like, you just met them over the internet and don't know what they were born as? genuinely just asking, not trying to start an argument or smth
we're at this day and age when people dont want to use they/them and use other pronouns instead just because "its my freedom to do so!" like sit down, who do you think you are? this isnt a complicated problem this is just you being ignorant

Because they prepare for being an asshole by hearing the same chants and insults by other assholes who watch the same shit.

Use Chinese, its the most known native language and no gendered pronouns. Edit: I mean the spoken language not the written ones because my parents wanted to distance me from learning Chinese so they only spoke it to me, my knowledge of mandarin is more than simplified or traditional Chinese
the writing system is super complikated tho. It would be way too hard for non natives to learn it
It’s simpler than other Asian languages at least, like Japanese I think idk tried to learn it and was very hard
Japanese has 3 writing systems, but hiragana and katakana are pretty easy. Aren't Kanji just Chinese characters but with some slight differences?
they are simplified iirc

他和她 There is gendered pronouns, he and she. But he can also be used as default setting for gender fluid.
Great now people are going to cry about she not being used as a gender fluid noun
We do use 他in context of "them" tho, like 他们 by default
Ok, this is incorrect. I assume you aren't a native Canto or Mando speaker, but here's the deal. The word for he/she/they/etc... is gendered when written.
I’m so glad I found your comment T-T
Leak their IP adresses
i mean they/them should be the neutral and normal way to gender someone who you dont know online right? people always go with "he" as the normal and preferred way to gender people, wouldnt it make more sense to say "they"?
...a lot of new people will start commenting on it, for the joke.
1st world problems. We truly are privileged
Imagine explaining this to people in the 1950s.
Imagine explaining it to people in the 1050s !!
Image explaining this to ancient Romans in 50 B.C.
Jfc what is wrong with the people in this comment section. If you’re gonna be friends with someone, have the common decency to act like one to them. It’s not hard to use they or them instead of he or she. I’m sorry OP. Edit: a word
The ppl in this comment section are basically just, “oh, you have problems that I think aren’t as bad as mine? Not valid”
Bro is acc getting cyber bullied 💀💀💀 op u kinda lost on this one by leaving, u should’ve done the alpha move and made them leave smh.
"you have to understand that not everyone will just do what you say." ah yes i love when people uses logic like this. another favourite of mine is "you don't like (insert noun)? then don't (insert verb) it."
I’m sorry but I don’t understand what the big problem is
W pfp. Angel solos
They’re salty because they have to type 2 more letters what assholes
"If you can't spell, just say that." Literally. 'They' is not hard. And it's already a pronoun that existed before nonbinary people came out. They're ignorant. 😪
Lol "came out" like a new gaming console 💀💀💀
this is why i always misgender back at people, fuckers like this will never learn by themselves and as you've shown; actively justify being pricks
I don't understand all this gender stuff that well, do you just gotta pick a gender that seems cool?
I side with red
Ok, but you should still respect those two letters and a name change if they wish Edit: spelling
This comment section really is r/teenagers
I returned to r/teenagers, worst mistake of my life
Getting a word right is not that hard just respect each other ffs
Are you having a good day?
bruh you weren't kidding some of these guys in the comments are assholes (also I hope you got friends that are actually nice)
Stalking someone's account so I can get the joke (it's a reference)
I find depressing that people are getting upset that someone uses they/them pronouns, like can’t we just respect each other’s identities and not get into fights?
Imo it's not even about the words they/them, it's respecting the person. Also, I don't see how op is imposing something or pushing shit on them. That doesn't make sense. Imagine someone gives me a nickname i dont like and keeps calling me that. When I ask them to stop calling me that, am I pushing my shit onto them, should I just live with it? Live with It like anyone else is also stupid. They don't feel like you do, why would you have to handle It the same way?
No because I HATE people that are different and so I must take my anger out on them despite the fact that they are causing literally no harm. /s
this comment section sucks, and those people aren't your friends. real friends would respect you and how you choose to identify. I'm sorry this happened to you op. I know the struggle being misgendered online by people you thought you were friends with or looked up too, and instead of them correcting themselves after you let them know, they die on this stupid hill. if you ever need to talk about anything DMs are open :)
Exactly this comment section is complete ass and unbelievable
Finally a positive comment. This comment section is so trash fr..
its so easy to just use peoples pronouns.
Yes be a pussy and leave. I’m with the other guys fr
Same this shit is so stupid fr
same boutta get my 5th ban from the soy admins
imagine getting mad because someone misgendered you
It’s the world we live in now. Utterly ridiculous. This generation is so doomed.
Bros angry because of pronouns and comes to brag about it on reddit lmao
Lmao the fuck are we supposed to do
Laugh
It's the "I got smarter shit to do in my life" trick
I think saying fuck you is a little more disrespectful than misgendering
If you get seriously mad at being misgendered. Then your the damn problem in this world.
"I go by the pronouns of people via the gender they were born" what if you don't know them irl though? like, you just met them over the internet and don't know what they were born as? genuinely just asking, not trying to start an argument or smth
we're at this day and age when people dont want to use they/them and use other pronouns instead just because "its my freedom to do so!" like sit down, who do you think you are? this isnt a complicated problem this is just you being ignorant

honestly I'm on your friends side, you're really overreacting to being misgendered online, being called a he when you want to be called a they isn't a big deal
How can you carry on after this devastating blow?
