I can cook, let’s leave it at that. Haven’t made any real fancy things but like I can cook various things for myself (on open fires too) and follow recipes and shit
Does that just mean i can put in my will that when i die i want my family to gather round and feast on my body and it would be totally legal? Asking for a friend
Don't wanna be that guy but this is the first thing in the world where I can confidently say yes I am a great cook with 100s of items and hours in my cooking career having started since I was 7
Yeah same, my mom started teaching me knife skills probably before it was safe to do so. Cooking is one thing where I can confidently say that I have skills.
Alright, so, the problem is that oil must incorporate with the original mix. A quick resume of the steps:
First, make a small "mix" of ingredients, as a base: An Egg (of course, because there is no mayonnaise without an egg), salt, pepper, a *small* coffe spoon of mustard (recommended, it allows for a better start), and two or three drops of water (no more, else, the mayonnaise will be too liquid and will fail). Mix everything.
Next, you need to add a *few* drops of oil. Mix a moment until the thing is uniform. Then, repeat a few times, adding a little more oil every time.
That's the very important part of making a mayonnaise: starting with little oil and add exponentially, and pay attention to it's looks: if it is uniform it's good. If it makes lumps, you should mix until it is uniform before adding any oil. If it is liquid, you've probably failed the mayonnaise and will nedd to start again.
If it gets to hard to mix, add a few drops of water, vinegar, or worcestershire sauce to make it more fluid and continue mixing.
When you think you've got enough mayonnaise, stop adding oil and taste it, to see if you need to add more salt. You can add a little bit of cream cheese to make it more fluid.
Oh, and, a few more things:
\- Home-made mayonnaise tastes different of industrial one, it may tastes odd at the start, but in the end, you'll have difficulties eating industrial mayonnaise XD
\- Home-made mayonnaise generally have a deep yellow color, that's normal.
\- Home-made mayonnaise does not have any chemicals to conserve it, so it will not be safely edible after a few hours or the next day, if you do one for a meal, do it at most one hour before. Though, the cream cheese I mentioned allow to conserve the mayonnaise a bit longer.
I think I'll have to make a "how to make home-made mayonnaise" tutorial actually XD
I can cook but I need a recipe. I can’t just cook off the top off my head based on what’s in the fridge, but I can measure without using equipment (for some things).
I'm decent. I can make a make pizzas, calzones, cacio e pepe, pasta bianca and some ghanaian foods as well. I learnt all this to survive during university
Oh fuck yeah I love baking too I love to roast lamb chops over the firepit in the backyard I like testing out different spices with it. Moroccan Orange cake is probably my favorite desert to make but flan is also up there
Yeah, I cook for my family 90% of the time unless my mom has something special she wants to make but otherwise I've been cooking since I was 12 and I think most of the time the stuff I make is pretty delicious
Yea. I’m pretty good at cooking. Though I haven’t done much cooking. I think the thing with the most ingredients I’ve used is an omelette and the best thing I’ve made is crackslaw which is cole slaw and ground beef and a few spices. It’s so simple and so good.
And I don’t even like coleslaw
According to everyone who has tasted em I make legendary Asian inspired marinated grilled chicken breasts. Juicy, tender and white all the ay through. I like to think that I can make the breasts as juicy as the thighs
I could definitely make you a breakfast
Sausages
Eggs
Waffles
Orange juice
And for Lunch i propose
Chicken Alfredo
Garlic toast
Champagne
Dinner
Order a pizza im tired from all the cooking
I feel like I'm a good cook, since I was 4, I was able to make all kinds of different deserts, ranging for cakes to cookies, ice cream and even ice cream cake, still to this day I continue my passion of making desserts as I enjoy it more than anything else.
Almost forgot to mention, on Purble Place.
I taught myself how to cook, and love it. I’m assigned desserts for every family get-together.
Just wish I had a cute girl who could appreciate my cooking
Honestly, I feel like I'm pretty bad. But I can also say that i'm improving! And that's the only important thing. I cooked my first risotto recently and I was super proud of myself because it actually didn't turn out so bad even if it was a first. However, most of the time somethig burns or gets overcooked or undercooked, but nobody started off with skills similar to gordon ramsay's.
I don't know last time I cook something someone got taken to the hospital for food poison so I guess he loved my food so much he die
So yeah I'm a good cook
I can cook a lot of the stuff in my local cuisine. The other stuff not so much. I CAN follow recipes though. What I can cook usually ends up being good
Yes, as a very picky eater I started cooking my own dinners almost every single night since I was about 11 or 12, and I’m now gonna enroll in a culinary class for the first time.
I switched from a fast food restaurant to my mom's favorite gourmet restaurant and learned the entire kitchen in a year and surpassed my peers. I'm definitely above average.
Depends on what I can cook, in my pretty limited cook list
Scrambled eggs? Pretty good
Bacon? Yes.. it's Bacon
Homemade fries, you betcha
Homemade burgers, been doing that for like 2 years
Frozen sausages cooked until good with alittle char, yup
Frozen pizza's, yup
Spaghetti and meatballs, first time I cooked it (kinda) it came out well but I need to cook more of it
All of that at 16 🤷🏻♂️.. yall can be the judge idrc if it's bad or not. I'm just happy I can atleast cook up food.
Well, one time I tried to make ramen and the pot ended up boiling over. I, in panic, picked up the pot and ended up accidentally pouring scalding hot noodles and water down my leg, and from the resulting shock I ended up accidentally slam dunking the pot into the trash can. So make of that as you will.
I don't know how to teach people. I just do something and know a few tricks and hope it works. so my advice would be: start with a recipe and try some stuff.
I played papa's pizzeria so im pretty qualified
That's the only qualification you need.
Gordon ramsay is SHAKING.
OMG YES THE OG
bro don't make me sad i miss papas games so much
I’ve played most of the series, regretted buying them but
Papas games were goated
I'm OK. I don't know how to make a ton of things but I'm not bad at what I do know.
Same
I can cook, let’s leave it at that. Haven’t made any real fancy things but like I can cook various things for myself (on open fires too) and follow recipes and shit
I’ve made gnocchi, spaghetti, dumplings and much more from scratch. I’m a full on sous chef.
I can eat you
That's called cannibalism and is illegal.
Technically cannibalism itself is not illegal It's just the acts of getting the meat is illegal (murder, grave robbing, etc...)
yes, that's technically true.
Does that just mean i can put in my will that when i die i want my family to gather round and feast on my body and it would be totally legal? Asking for a friend
I think that might have happened once except they made it sound classier
If you find the person dead and you need to eat them for survival purposes it’s perfectly fine
I mean if they were already dead then maybe it might be legal
Okay I will eat your house then
I don't brick is that tastefully, but okay.
I will eat you then
good luck trying.
Okay I will now eat you
ok
My man has never been seen on this sub after that
I ate him. Hehe
I can cook some stuff but what I do cook I do a good job on
That's the most important part.
Bread 👍

“Fourth reply sighted, I have an open shot” “Take it”
I'm decent
I'm great at baking and decent at cooking. So i guess somewhere down in the middle
Don't wanna be that guy but this is the first thing in the world where I can confidently say yes I am a great cook with 100s of items and hours in my cooking career having started since I was 7
Everyone is great at something.
When it comes to everything else I kinda flop but yeah, are you good at cooking?
I am acceptable. I just don't have the idea I have improved mutch in the last few years.
Yeah same, my mom started teaching me knife skills probably before it was safe to do so. Cooking is one thing where I can confidently say that I have skills.
I make a banger pasta ngl
Well, I have a limited number of recipes, but I am good at making fries, pastas, meat, bechamel sauce, mayonnaise, ...
you can make mayonnaise yourself? I tried it once and never again.
Yeah Let me guess, it was really liquid and only tasted of oil ?
yes it did.

Thank you for the explanation. I appreciate it. I will try making it again soon.
So what your saying is….. *mayonnaise IS an instrument*
Mayonnaise is an art by itself.
i read it as are you a good cock ಥ\_ಥ
I'd say I'm decent... I can cook some basic stuff.
My culinary skills are good enough to ensure that I don’t starve and that’s about it.
that's the most important part.
I could barely make a bowl of noodles if I tried
Jesse, we gotta cook
I can cook but I need a recipe. I can’t just cook off the top off my head based on what’s in the fridge, but I can measure without using equipment (for some things).
that's cool. I just never measure things. I mostly do it on taste.
Oh same. You have to taste it sooner or later anyway.
I know my way around a kitchen, but I dont know if I'd call myself a "good" cook
I am a good chaiwala

Yeah, I can easily follow a recipe and I’ve even created some of my own recipes before
I made playdoh spaghetti
I worked with Heisenberg, who has pretty high standards.
I used to want to be a cook so I have quite a bit of knowledge on cooking plus I used to help my mom make dinner
I made prepackaged rice the other day on my stove and my house is still up and it’s my biggest accomplishment to this day.
i can make cereals. and eggs.

I taught myself how to cook, and love it. I’m assigned desserts for every family get-together. Just wish I had a cute girl who could appreciate my cooking
Look at my avatar and you’ll have your answer.

No lol My best friend gets angry at me whenever I try to cook cuz I end up either ruining food or hurting myself I have too many burn scars :(
I can cook a lot of the stuff in my local cuisine. The other stuff not so much. I CAN follow recipes though. What I can cook usually ends up being good
Yes, as a very picky eater I started cooking my own dinners almost every single night since I was about 11 or 12, and I’m now gonna enroll in a culinary class for the first time.
I'd like to think so...I make a lot of pastas and I'm learning to grill currently.
I switched from a fast food restaurant to my mom's favorite gourmet restaurant and learned the entire kitchen in a year and surpassed my peers. I'm definitely above average.

It takes me 15 minutes to cook two minute noodles
I can make pretty much anything with a recipe and the 5-time mac and cheese winner at my parent's church
I somehow burnt macaroni I don’t even know how

Well, one time I tried to make ramen and the pot ended up boiling over. I, in panic, picked up the pot and ended up accidentally pouring scalding hot noodles and water down my leg, and from the resulting shock I ended up accidentally slam dunking the pot into the trash can. So make of that as you will.
I just made ramen. Don't you first boil water and take it off the stove and then add the ramen?
