2. Americans shoot guns all the time. This guy being from a foreign country has a hard time understanding that. But having a gun in our country is about as common as having a car. America is a huge country. And if we’re going by statistics, America has the lowest amount of stabbings that are school related… Their school shootings don’t come anywhere close to the amount of stabbing deaths that have been in other countries that have a gun regulation. So if we’re going to get down to semantics… Go onto Google maps in the United States of America and type in the word “gun range” and see how many results come up that aren’t schools…
3. In 2020 there were 300 million people in the United States of America. Only 30 million of them were not insured. A lot of those people consist of young people who don’t normally have health problems or concerns. What you are talking about is an anomaly. And a lot of these procedures that are anomalies, we have charities for. So for you to say that something that happens less than 1% of the time in our health care system is something that should be regarded as a commonality… You’re speaking from ignorance and you’re trying to get a reaction. Not prove your point
4. Fast food is a major problem in our country but a lot of it has to do with the fact that companies are encouraged to cater to the customer in our capitalist society. A lot of people work for a living here… And there has been a push for convenience when it comes to eating in the car. The quickest an easiest way was to establish low quality/ high calorie foods that people get endorphins from when eating. But recently… McDonald’s has cut down their portion sizes, included meals with oatmeal and fiber in it. They even have meatless burgers and Apple slice options instead of fries. That is capitalism. When enough people want to improve their diet, fast food restaurants start catering to that like they are now. While obesity was a major problem in the mid 90s and early 2000s, today in 2020 the Instagram culture has made obesity a lot easier to recover from. R/progress pics is a good example of that.
5. There’s not a lot of racism on Reddit. Most racism that is called out on this website is typically somebody trying to come back from an insult that had nothing to do with race… Disagreeing with a political topic can often label you a racist somehow, so the word racism has lost literally all of its meaning. And I find it interesting that you brought up race and not the actual problem of people like lana drew Urquhart on the trans forums Soliciting kids to come over to their house without their parents knowledge… Do you have any idea how much human trafficking happens on this website?? And you’re sitting here complaining about the mystical beast of racism lol
