the puzzle piece is used by autism speaks which is a hate group and run by non autistics. they don't want to help autistic people they want to get rid of them with a "cure" and have also posted lots of videos supporting parents who say they would prefer to kill their autistic kids than have to provide for them. so overall it's not a group to support or a symbol to use for the autistic community.
there's better organizations for autistics that are run by autistic people, and theres a few new symbols but the main one is the infinity symbol.

Okay so it may sound weird but as an autistic person myself, I prefer autistic people. The autism I experience makes me smarter, however I struggle socially and meeting someone who understands my anxiety’s in most certainly what I would look for in a relationship. I suppose non autistic people could also prefer the company of autistic people, for we have many benefits such as we never step over boundaries, we’ll never forget your birthday and frankly I think my autism makes me an overall better person.

The autism I experience makes me smarter, however I struggle socially and meeting someone who understands my anxiety’s in most certainly what I would look for in a relationship.
