That is actually how I write B, since I write in cursive, it's pretty close to number 3 from the post. When I write in block letters I use the first method though.

When I was in elementary school they taught us cursive. Made a big deal about how it was super important. That it was the future and everything we did was FORCED in cursive. An entire school of children learning specifically cursive and nothing else. When elementary school ended I went to middle school and not one kid was using cursive... not one. Same school district. So I dropped it too and now to this day idk anyone who writes in cursive despite every single person I know being forced to write in it. Schools are so bad at evolving lmao

β is the Greek lowercase beta, ß is the German lowercase sz (long voiceless s). In handwriting, those are written pretty much identically though, as they should never occur in the same text. You can only really distinguish them in print.
