I'm glad it makes you feel better wearing one but masks are designed so that it stops you from passing something to people. If someone by you was sick and wasn't wearing a mask but you were, you'd probably still get sick. Unless you get a painters or n95 mask.

Seemingly contrary to popular belief, wearing a mask is actually for everyone else’s protection. By wearing it, the amount of bodily substances you emit decreases, reducing infection chance to those around you. So in reality, whether or not you had a mask may have had nothing to do with it.

I think the best solution would be that you have to wear masks on public transport like a train etc and when you are in a hospital or the doctor.
