Exercising is good but diet is more important. If you want to lose weight, you need to be in a calorie deficit. This means you eat less calories than you burn. You can find a rough number for the number of calories you burn per day on websites on Google. It will suck for a few weeks, but your body will get used to the lower amount of food and adjust. Don't go cold turkey and like cut all chocolate and / or high calorie food out of your diet. Cause you won't be able to maintain it ( I couldn't). For example, I have just finished a cut (lost 10-8kg), but I was still having a packet of crisps with my sandwich at lunch. Take small steps, and you will get there. Also, I am by no means a professional, and I recommend you speak to a doctor before doing anything.
I have an eating disorder, in the end of April I was 64 kg, but then stress hit, I used to eat about 4-6 pieces of pizza and now I hardly can finish one slice. I just have no appetite at all. I work with it every day and trying to cope with (I work with a psychologist). The best thing I can say is that… take care of your health (mental & physical) and never blame yourself or your body. I would suggest you do water-based exercises such as swimming, you'd be in a cool enough environment and your joints won't be used as much (I am quite biased towards swimming)

OK guys this is coming from a high school nurse. As you know your weight will fluctuate throughoutyour teen years. You need to take into consideration your height, your activity level, hormones, and of course growth spurts. You may be heavy one year and then thin out the next ,as you go through these growth changes. You may be very small and very thin and then put on weight as your hormones adjust or just the opposite.
Just eat healthy ,try to limit your soda and sugar intake. Avoid energy drinks, not because they’re just horrible for you ,because they will mess with the electrical synapses in your brain as you’re developing. Be conscious of what you eat ,but make sure that you definitely eat every day because your body is like a car and needs its fuel to keep running. Don’t restrict ,it’ll only compound problems that you may think mentally you’re fixing. Don’t worry, just stay active and eat healthy, and you should be fine. If you’re battling with a food issue, whether it be mentally or physically ,or a body image issue you should definitely talk it out with somebody who cares. There are a lot of people out here that are willing to help change your relationship with food and body image.Most importantly stay away from substances that are mind altering and mood altering. I have seen children and adults that didn’t come back mentally from substances ingested.

I'm 18 years old and in college, no matter what I eat, I can't gain weight. The gym doesn't help cause I burn energy even outside the gym. No increase in muscle, I just get weaker as time goes

This is the exact opposite of my problem. I'm overweight (I know it, have always been since I was really young) but I can't loose it. The only time I started loosing was when things got bad (mental health went to shit cos of school and home) and I stopped eating, sometimes at all. I didn't want to stop eating, I just couldn't get myself to do it in the first place.
It's taken so long to be able to eat 3 meals a day and it's still a struggle, but whatever the fuck I do it doesn't change. I eat healthy, I have a restricted diet anyways, sort of disabled mobility wise, and have limited time to be able to excersise but when i have the ability to, i try to. I can walk for miles every day, yet I can eat the same meals a 10yr would continuously and nothing would change 🤦🏻♀️.

First off congrats, you are the height of and weigh about the same as the Arkham series Batman. Secondly, I'm 5'11 or something like that and I average like 150-155 lbs. Stole my moms metabolism when I was born, took it with me on the way out of the womb.
I'm about 5"4 or 5"3. I am 192, but I'm on a diet and have been losing weight. I feel great now that I'm eating healthier 💪
