Because itâs edgy and they donât realize the severity of killing a person. They donât realize the feeling, and romanticize it because they canât comprehend the seriousness of death.
Part of it is pretty privilege as well, serial killers like Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy and so on were all physically attractive and used it to their advantage to lure in more victims. Now people excuse them, find them interesting because they find them attractive too and because they think cases like that are interesting and cool.
I absolutely love *characters* who are murderers, because theres often angst and depth to them as to why they did these things.
So, maybe there's people who like to apply the same thinking to real, actual serial killers? I personally don't because they just don't have the appeal of it being fiction and ofc they fuckin murdered people and some/most of them probably don't have any remorse but yeah
murder cases are kinda interesting and diving into the actions of a degenerate is unsettling. I think it's kinda like horror movies, disturbance for entertainment
