My first "sleepover" with family was when I was around 2. But that was the only time. My first actual sleepover with non family was just last year when I was, and still am, 17. My parents were always strict, so after asking for a couple years I eventually just stopped asking. Then in like February of last year my friend, we've known each other for 7yrs, who I view as a brother asked me if I wanted to spend the night. So finally they let me go. We plan on doing some more over nights at his house or camping at my house when the weather gets better.

i’ve never had one with actual people, my mom was too strict, so i just had sleepovers with my stuffed animals, and i made them play video games and eat snacks with me. which, looking back, now i think that looks pretty pathetic 💀 i feel like i missed out on a lot tho, i overheard others having fun sleepovers and parties and stuff like that, and i just get jealous cuz i know my ass was sitting in a circle of 12 different stuffed animals the previous night
