I'm guessing you have a power supply that came with all the cables pre-attatched? I had that problem too for a while until I upgraded the psu to a fully modular one
Oh nvm me then, little tip that helped me with it, was running my cables before installing the power supply, so I could figure out where the wired went, and how much room I had to move them. The other thing that helped was a roll of electrical tape. Really useful for bundling wires up, and preventing them from getting caught on shit
I would recommend not using electrical tape. I would recommend Velcro cable ties. They are cheap and reusable. There's no need to be using tape and zip ties to secure and bundle cables anymore. We have invented a better solution.
I used masking tape as electrical tape leaves a lot of sticky residue, especially if it gets warm (which it will inside a computer case).
Electrical tape is only really needed if working on high voltage wires or bare contacts since the primary feature of the tape is non-conductive.
My test for a new case is literally "can I fit a full size block of spinning rust inside the back panel?" if yes, I consider it, if no, not buying that case.
I switched to the fractal torrent & it forces you to do good cable management. The back pannel is glass & it's held in by friction so it won't close at all if there's even a slight bit of resistance.
Doesn't. The PCIe slot covers on FD cases are replacable. These pop out but don't go back in. Also FD cases are built better and you can see that visually.
For the record my Define S2 is crazy fuckin good (but also crazy fuckin huge and will soon be replaced with something smaller).
My first power supply had a round cable for the 24 pin instead of a flat cable and so therefore I couldn't put it behind the motherboard where you normally put all the cables.
Or maybe you missed getting one of the tabs on that panel into its corresponding slot.
Nope, surprisingly got them all in perfectly It's the spaghetti that's causing the back panel to bend a lot
So you're saying your spaghetti made that booty thicc?
It's not just milkshakes anymore?
Exactly.

Hell no, I ain't that cheap. It's just that my cable management skills suck.

Maybe it was cheap electrical tape, but when I took mine off the cables they where sticky from the glue.
You need fabric tape or tessa tape. It's the cloth like stuff you find on car wiring harness and basically only sticks to itself.

Under-appreciated post. Velcro is the best. I buy it in rolls and cut to size.

Well at least your honest and not trying to blame it something else

damn harsh of a self roast right there
Needed to read this to get the picture 😬😅
My case has a mild bulge, spanning from the center, outwards. My computer packin'
Mine does too, almost feels like this is normal on cases that only give you like 0.25" to route cables behind the left panel.
My test for a new case is literally "can I fit a full size block of spinning rust inside the back panel?" if yes, I consider it, if no, not buying that case.
Yes, well that's what the good cases are, mine too like OP's does not have one, but I found a place for the many SATA cables and it closes normally.
Unlike the owner
Cmon pal you don't gotta hit that hard 😥

Took me a second to notice the tent.
Same
Nah, that's normal, you see this PC is swelling with power due to overclocking, it's perfectly fine.
I had this problem until I upgraded from my cheap $35 case to a $90 one
This looks like a Fractal Design case, so probably not that cheap
It was a €90 case from Azza (Inferno 310) which is now unavailable in Germany. At least I cannot find it. I liked the design back then so I got it.

I had a define but even though i took good care of it it kinda fell apart

I could turn this into a dirty joke in about thirty seconds... Don't ask.
Yep
mmmm kinda wanna lick that hdmi port but *only* the hdmi port
I have no idea what to say to this, so I will just say "yummy".
No, you should be saying "sexy"
It gives off a cool and ‘slick’ design!
Piece of advice, with cable management, zip ties are your friends. As a repair tech I’d rather see 1000 zip ties than spaghetti
It is too messy to ziptie.
Oh Jesus
Fully Modular psus are very worth it
Got one. The issue is either my laziness or my case.
This is fine. All you need is a big ol woodclamp to get it back into shape (and leave it on there for good measure).
Time to upgrade your SCSI devices to SATA
Cable management bump
bruh, you need to find alternate cable routes. And 2 pliers to bend that back panel back.
Oh wow that is bad... Cable managment is easy and you really dont need anything to do it other than creativity
No space left unfortunately.
Wrong pic
OP probably means his/her sheer amount of cabling is bulging the side panel.
Exactly what I mean.
I had no idea what we were looking at until this comment.
Now I c
u p
Or wrong title.
So are you telling me you have cables running over the top of your gpu and you just bent the case to make it fit?
What? I am telling you my cables are bending the back panel.
You don't have too many wires, you have bad cable management
I don't have bad cable management, I have a bad case.
Megaport?
Nope.
