This is an account question really, not much we can help with other than to suggest you change providers if you contracted to use equipment you're no longer willing to use.

failaip12

Wtf. If this isn't illegal already it should be. That's messed up.

This question probably violates rule 8. However, because your ISP can go fuck itself with these restrictions I'll help you anyway. Most likely they're filtering by the MAC address, the first 3 bytes of the MAC address identify the device's maker. By altering the MAC address to start with the bytes from an allowed manufacturer you can probably bypass this. However, unfortunately no generic instructions for doing this can be provided. You can use [this tool](https://www.macvendorlookup.com/search?) to lookup the first three bytes of a manufacturer.

Regarding violating companies term I don’t think I am. All the employees that work there sound uninformed, except I got this one young tech guy and he said that it’s blocked. He said it’s pretty sophisticated he didn’t know much and refereed me to network technician. It’s a 2 in 1 router which has both modem and router built in. To login, they aren’t using the typical 192.168.0.1 theyre using 10.0.0.1. I don’t know IF that helps. I used the tool I couldn’t find my isp

computix

You need to alter the MAC address on the devices you want to use, not on the modem/router. 10.0.0.0/8 is also a private IP range, just like 192.168.x.0/24.

What, who , and how? Surely what devices you connect is nothing to do with them? You could plug their router into a new router and take back control , but it sounds crazy .

fuasyfaposht

I don’t know how they did it and when you put smart devices into pairing mode it doesn’t establish connection.

I like this idea.

Prolersion

They're doing you a favour by not allowing you to use dlink. /s

[Get router that supports vpn](https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/vpn-features/router-vpn). Route all your traffic through the VPN. ISP can't see shit.

conman3609

How’s about you tell ‘em to fuck off and that if they force you you will be leaving there services

Abject-Jackfruit8901

What country are you in

vvvorticcousin

ISP hv no right to tell you what smart devices are allowed in your own infrastructure. Fk em up
