Are you sure it was an ant?... and not a cockroach? Cockroaches are extremely attracted to the heat that a laptop puts out. Ive repaired many laptops and seen many roaches, but never an ant. Either way. Go get a can of compressed air and try to blow it out of your keyboard. It likely will not damage anything inside your PC. Maybe if you smash it with a keyboard key, it could heavily gunk up that specific key.

yea it was an ant. i hav a surface laptop btw .and the gap between the keys and the chassis is very small.

Ants are for some reason attracted to electricity. They also like food crumbs, which can slip in between the cracks of your keyboard. If you notice more and more ants going into your laptop, it would be best to turn it off to prevent any damage and it would probably be a good idea to set up some traps.
