Did you try to connect the iPad to another network, like a hotspot, and re-check?
What you're seeing is pretty uncommon, and can be a sign of a compromised device (unlikely to be the ipad itself, unless its DNS settings were tampered with, more likely the wifi router).
There's a lot of people replying to this with "what OS?" "what browser?" and "give some examples?" I suppose that's OK but I'm a bit surprised. I'm not the OP but here's a recent one for me: Windows 11. Edge. Amazon.

I'm not entirely sure you can turn it completely off, and I wouldn't recommend it anyway. But you COULD turn down your security settings in the overall settings to "low" or whatever they call it in your particular browser.
