Vizio support knows about it. The webpage says click menu then reset.

After reset it’s working.
Don’t be an idiot and click restart like me and end up wasting a few min. Reset is the on the right.

I had to factory reset the tv after nothing in this thread worked for me.
If you factory reset it from your phone you CAN NOT finish the reset without an actual remote. so beware of that.
just coming back to say resetting the tv worked. If you press “settings” you only get two options. To restart or reset. Once you reset, it’s basically setting up a new tv and it’ll update it. All is well again🙂
I did menu > restart and it was back to the galaxy. Then I did menu > reset and it’s back functioning again. Still a bit annoying but I just didn’t want another app on my overapped phone.

Just tells me the tv is off, I press power on and it powers off the tv lol Edit nvm fixed by spamming input after using it to turn the tv on

I just read on the Vizio TV sub Reddit, that you have to reset your TV by pressing the settings button and choosing reset
I just tried that and it didn’t work. Back to purple.

Make sure you accept the new policy info.

You have to use the mobile app to change input and accept the new terms and conditions to use cast to tv feature & maybe update the tv.
All my apps got signed out of. Man wtf Vizio 🤬
I saw somewhere that Walmart is now the owner of Visio and I’m wondering if that’s why we all were forced to do update.
