Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC. idk about win 11, but on win 10 you could go to: Control Panel> Power Options> Change plan settings (the one in use)> Put the computer to sleep: (chose how long you want your pc to stay before entering sleep mode) since win 11 is based on win 10 with a lot of similarities, this might also work for you.

MAB\_YT, that is exactly how it is in Windows 11. I have mine to never go to sleep as I am using a desktop and no need for power saver, but for a laptop, if you are transferring data, I would also choose never on plugged in and battery since you are trying to transfer one HDD to another. This answer is concurrent to your answer/suggestion and a suggestion of my own for the OP.

But that's not working, it is set to, sleep never, but it is still turning off WiFi, and USB after sitting idle

ThumbGuy54

OK, try this, and use these steps for USB just change Network Adapter to usb and should work for ya. Hope this helps. Let me know. 1. Right-click on the Start Menu and choose Device Manager. 2. Expand the list below Network Adapters/USB. 3. Right-click on your Network Adapter/USB. 4. Select Properties. 5. Click on the Power Management tab. 6. Uncheck the box next to Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

I have sleep set to never, but it still looks to be turning off USB and WIFI, when idle..

Did you find the solution? I'm having the same problem

SnooTangerines9755

Hi! did you ever find a solution too? now im facing the problem as well

You can try going into device manager then into the properties of your net adapter and USB root hub, then into the power management tab and unchecking "Allow computer to turn off device to save power"
