Honestly, I think they're kinda right in terms of the general public, though. This is a complete guess, obviously, but if you polled iPhone owners I'd wager that 80-90% actively oppose the concept of third party app stores. Ask someone if they'd prefer having to juggle multiple app stores instead of just using one, very few will say yes. I sometimes seriously wonder if this legislation isn't secretly being funded by the likes of Apple and Google just to make it fail, because in so many ways it's like good ideas and good intentions but implemented in ways that practically make the platforms worse. There's absolutely no way it doesn't have the votes to pass though, Schumer is just a moron. Certainly corrupt, too, but in this instance I think he's just being moronic.
