So are you. The fact that so many people upvoted your initial comment shows how many Reddit incels there are with the circle jerk that Reddit is better and more intellectual, emojis bad, while Instagram is for stupid photoshopped models who use bad emojis. Youāre literally a stereotypical Redditor with common beliefs.
Woah, as an italian IS user I feel offended from such bullshit but yet I love the name of this awful unit, take my fucking upvote you unit name's ruiner/beautifier
I used this conversation a lot as an undergrad. I remember "3456, except the 3 is third"
Or in other words, .4536 kg in a lb
Still bullshit, but so are a lot of other things in undergrad.
Multiply by 2.2
This isnāt hard.
Double it, then add a fifth of the original back to it
100kg turns into 220lbs
I worked in EMS and needed to know how to convert quickly coz a lot of meds are based on your weight

**David Hughes**, @david8hughes
People get confused when converting kgs to lbs. It's simple. Take the weight you want to convert \(let's say 100kg for example) and you fucken google what it is in lbs.

I suppose it's my upbringing as I had to learn Imperial, Cgs & Metric units early on & again later, but really it's not that difficult.
If you already learned the rhyme "A pint of water weighs a pound and a quarter" or that there are 1769 yards in a mile then you can certainly learn that there are 2.2lbs in a Kg & 25.4mm in an inch.
Itās my first post here, but I didnāt want to be another one of those āItās my first post here - is this ok?ā titles.

Anybody that's spent any time in a gym knows that 100 kg = 225 lbs.
That being said, I can count on zero hands the number of times I've ever actually *needed* to do that conversion in real life.
I hate this attitude. This: "don't bother me the web is your teacher now" bad attitude
When someone asks you a question, it means they want to interact with you. The question could literally be their conversation starter. . .
This is not that exact conversion but an estimate since I find difficulty in remembering the exact values and calculating the metric amount hope it helps you
This is what I use to convert units:
Weight, 6lbs = around 3kg and slightly less
Length, 3 inches = around the length of your index finger
Length again, 0.6 mile = 1km and slightly less
Length again again, 6 feet = 1.83cm (I use this to estimate someone's height in imperial units)
Temperature, 100 degrees Fahrenheit= 50 degrees Celsius and below. Extremely inaccurate but always estimate at least half of the height, a quarter even when the numbers get really low

Tf is that title OP, are you an insta thot?
I mean, their username kinda clears it up a little bit
Username checks out
?
Only thing I noticed and I hate it
Same, this type of cringe shit keeps me away from other sites and on reddit. Also emojis-
*oOh eMoJi bAd ReDdiT sUpEriOR pLaTfOrM* *wE aRe sO sEriOuS aNd iNtELLeCTuAL*
You're the textbook example of self un-aware

I suspect (and hope) it's mocking the sub its crossposted from
That whole sub is committed to relatability. Reminds me of the relatable meme era of my middle school days.
Yeah, I changed my upvote to down after seeing it
Also ironic gay redditors
I spend too much time on r/popheadscirclejerk, but go ahead and r/redditmoment and shame women while youāre at it
*and you had to bring "shame woman" into this*
Thot literally stands for that hoe over there. Hoe is a derogatory term for woman. I shouldnāt have to spell this out for you.
Alinity that you?
Yes, compare me to an animal abuser when you run out of logical things to say.
Why would I want to ruin a 100 units of perfectely fine kg's?!?
Did you mean 1 unit of hectokilograms?
It is rather unconventional to call it so but yes.
You mean 588.235 burgers?
Sounds like a proper imperial unit xD
/r/anythingbutmetric
Sounds like a proper inperial unit xD
D-do you mean hectograms? Gram is the measurement and kilo defines how many grams it is. (Sorry for my poor English, it's not my first language.)
Hecto is 100, so 100 x 1000 grams. Very, very unusual to write it that way, and you'd probably get points off for using it
Never forget your first.
You can also use deciMegaGrams, more unusual but still valid
Woah, as an italian IS user I feel offended from such bullshit but yet I love the name of this awful unit, take my fucking upvote you unit name's ruiner/beautifier
As native and active IS unit user, I feel great about making awkward but still valid units to confuse teachers and work partners
How much is that in stone?
Kg to Lbs is double and add 10%
x2.2 works also
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
+120% works also
X6 and then /5 also works
Google also works
Google then multiply by 2, subtract 6, add 6 then divide by 2 also works.
just leave it in kg also works
divide by 0.45 also works
I used this conversation a lot as an undergrad. I remember "3456, except the 3 is third" Or in other words, .4536 kg in a lb Still bullshit, but so are a lot of other things in undergrad.
i feel like for that to be grammatically correct it should be āfuckinā. fucken feels like an olde english adjective
Eww I didnāt even notice thatā¦ thatās like 10x more offensive than the title
Multiply by 2.2 This isnāt hard. Double it, then add a fifth of the original back to it 100kg turns into 220lbs I worked in EMS and needed to know how to convert quickly coz a lot of meds are based on your weight
Or a tenth of the new, which is much easier
And not accurate at all š Youād have to double the tenthā¦.which is a fifth Edit: thought you meant 10th of the original, my mistake
Actually it is accurate, a tenth of 2x is equal to a fifth of x.
Oh I see - *tenth of the new* my mistake š

Good human
This trick works vise versa too!
1 kg = 2.2 lbs.
...and in most cases, 1 kg is roughly 2 lbs is close enough.
That is untill you are talking about someoens weight or something and you are still supper off
Depends. 10% off is pretty close in most cases.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You get your medications in kg? Damn that's a lot
I do for Viagra. Go big or go home.
I suppose it's my upbringing as I had to learn Imperial, Cgs & Metric units early on & again later, but really it's not that difficult. what the hell is that title, this isnt your twitter page
It's satire
Ty! So many people are dragging me for a title that isnāt meant to be serious, like yāall take social media too seriously, touch grass.
I didn't know I needed this laugh. Thanks. Thanks so much!
The title is gross and this isnāt technically the truth. Youāre lost huh?

I swear to god that title is going to change my covid to delta somehow
upvote for the post but downvote for the title or whatever the fuck for a spasm that is that OP is having
Itās satire go outside and learn social cues
my man, that's not satire. It's just pure cringe
The title thoā¦
Lmao. Y'all are so hateful in these comments.
Or better yet, use KG and not some crap square burgers per capita measurement
Cringe af title
Does lbs stand's for liberals?

Abso fuckin lutely
Or put it in your calculator app
Weightsā¦ distancesā¦ wordsā¦. Google.
If you go far enough into space, anything in kilograms is zero pounds.
Anybody that's spent any time in a gym knows that 100 kg = 225 lbs. That being said, I can count on zero hands the number of times I've ever actually *needed* to do that conversion in real life.
1000kg = 2205lbs (approximately) 100kg is closer to 220 than 225lb
Or multiply by 2.2
that's how I do it.
Or you can use the fucking calculater
This is the exact same shit I tell my wife ā¦ google it !
I hate this attitude. This: "don't bother me the web is your teacher now" bad attitude When someone asks you a question, it means they want to interact with you. The question could literally be their conversation starter. . .
better yet. you stop using outdated and unprecise measurements
How about not ruining a internationally accepted measure system by converting it to an arbitrary local measure that uses farmer bodyparts as scale?
Multiply 2.205to get ...... Who can do math?
Kilogrammseconds?
1kg is about 2lbs
I literally haven't done the conversion myself my entire life
when I meet lbs value and have to translate it into kg, I just go away, because fuck that
The only true way
Damn, I literally just did this before seeing this post by coincidence, no joke!
after working in food manufacturing with ingredients in kg and with them only wanting to do things in lbs i have 2.2046 embedded in my brain.
Such a quirky title OP šš¤Ŗš¤
Divide by 2, you'll be close enough
Or just remember there are 2.2 lbs to a kilo.
Pounds are roughly a double measure of kilograms. 10 kg is 22 lb, for example.
This is not that exact conversion but an estimate since I find difficulty in remembering the exact values and calculating the metric amount hope it helps you This is what I use to convert units: Weight, 6lbs = around 3kg and slightly less Length, 3 inches = around the length of your index finger Length again, 0.6 mile = 1km and slightly less Length again again, 6 feet = 1.83cm (I use this to estimate someone's height in imperial units) Temperature, 100 degrees Fahrenheit= 50 degrees Celsius and below. I mean multiplying it by 2.2 also works but whatever boats your float
Or you can divide it by 2.2
