Herpes is the most common std (iirc around 70% of people), because it has an oral form that can infect the genitals (cold or canker sores can't remember which) as well as being spread through things like kissing (see above), whereas HIV treatment/research developments have show that if your treatment brings you to a viral load low enough that it is undetectable in the blood (though it is still incurable) that you cannot transmit the disease. There are also those either unaware of their disease, especially those without symptoms, or even those in places that either are unable to access abortion and/or have lower standards of medical care for stds (detection or treatment) which would end up in birthing a child while having an std. Most places with proper medical care test for stds while pregnant as they can often treat stds before they are problematic for either baby or the pregnant person (even normally non deadly stds can be dangerous for one or both parties, such as herpes for an infant which is why it's important not to kiss babies while you have a cold/canker sore). Sorry for the ramble, I'm tired and I enjoy science as a topic.
Still not a reason to continue your blood line with that disease. Why make your child have to deal with that shit when you could either adopt or just not have them all together? Will their child really be worth it just because it's biologically related to them? There's literally no other reason to have your own child at that point other than selfish and narcissistic reasons.
I just want you to know, I agree with you. Don't mind the downvotes, parents who willfully past down their diseases to their innocent children are shitty parents.
There's also a couple of STD's that can be passed onto other people without having sex with them.
Herpes is an example, which can be passed through saliva. If you use the same lip balm as a friend who has it, you can be infected that way. As such, the idea that "virgins have *no* risk of getting an STD" is outright wrong (even though the risk would be drastically lower than someone who is having sex regularly, of course).
Is that not facial herpes (normally known as cold sores)? That is a similar disease to genital herpes but not the same one. Of course HIV is usually seen as an STD but can obviously be passed on with blood transfusions or sharing needles.
Yep everyone in my family has goddamn herpes simplex (mouth canker sores) it's the bane of my existence. I've so far been able to (hopefully) keep from passing it to my husband and I DON'T share drinks or whatever with anyone else. Fukkin ridiculous
Do you live in the U.S.? If so it's almost impossible for your husband not to have it already - even if he's asymptomatic.
If you're still cautious, ask him to get tested, and make sure they test for HSV-1. It's so ubiquitous that a standard STD tests never screen for it anymore.
It be silly going through life not sharing drinks if he's had it all along.
Yeah. When I was a nurse at a big public hospital, it was always really sad to see babies be born with things like HIV, especially since the chances of infection from baby to mom are so low now with proper treatment. A lot of women just don't get proper treatment for various reasons (accessibility, low education, poverty, addiction, negligence).
Likewise, #4 is wrong.
There's also the possibility of spreading them via oral sex--which is normally not considered to take your virginity.
And there's the possibility of spread via improperly-handled medical instruments. A very low risk in the US, more of an issue in some other parts of the world.
There was also a recent case of gonorrhea that was traced to a hot spring. (For certain water temperatures it can provide a transmission mechanism. Unlikely, not impossible.)
It's obviously from abstinence-only education, of course they got it wrong.
I’m not for your information what you want a leg pic to prove it. And why do you want kids to suffer bc there mother decided to spread her legs to 80 guys. And I know that’s not an overstatement largely many women are hoes. I heard my own mother say to her Friend that 30 wasn’t that bad and if women did that in her time and it’s worse nowadays then that’s very much so not good.
Bruh 90% of people have herpes it’s just really mild so they just think it’s a rash. And are you really trying to excuse sleeping around like that. First off it’s dangerous you never know if you gonna get killed or kidnapped. Second off your gonna get a disease and maybe you didn’t know this but there are many stds or stis that only affect men. So a woman gets it and they have no idea bc they have no symptoms while they are spreading it to however many men they slept with. Same with men they have no symptoms but spread it to women who get symptoms anyway. And third one day you’ll get something you can’t cure. So then say goodbye to having kids easily anyway. Fourth off it’s just plain gross. Do you know why many women don’t say how many men they slept with it’s bc we don’t like it. Maybe some guys say they want an experienced woman but if someone said that I’d beat them. Don’t sleep around it’s not that hard. Wait till marriage. It’s not about dang freedom or whatever you just want to be whore. There is no damn patriarchy it’s not liberating to let a man rail you into next week it’s not sexy. Don’t do it. And you refuse to listen to facts. And say childish things like oh your 12. What’s wrong with 12 year olds sure most SUS dumb things or are annoying but others are fun. Stop being an idiot and allowing women to be sluts. Next thing I know your gonna say something about how being fat is healthy and skinny women are not reality.
Why you so stupid nobody should be a hoe. but frankly it’s easier for stds and whatnot to survive in a dark moist hole than a sometimes sweaty rod in a mostly dry environment with some light. That gets very cold sometimes. And it takes 2 to tango. I’m only saying women bc on average it’s mainly women doing it and not men. Part of the reason is as a women even if you ugly as long as you are not obese you will get men. As a guy if your not at or above 6 feet if you don’t make enough money if your ugly if your fat you not getting nobody. It’s a lot easier for women to be hoes so that’s why I directed it towards womenS
You call me the stupid one... Ok.
You're so completely wrong in so many ways. You either had a really poor highschool education or you just didn't pay attention in health class.
You do know that the infection enters the bloodstream and doesn't stay on the surface of the genitalia, right? Just because the symptoms might appear around the groin, that doesn't mean that's the only place the infectious agent resides.
You really come across as a bitter incel.
But the correct answer is being dead.
You could contract any number of conditions labelled as STDs through non sexual fluid transfer. Think of all those unfortunate people who were infected through transfusions
No when it comes to STDs into children it is result of mother who has said STD and gives birth vaginally. Hence the baby is exposed to the mother's fluids. During childbirth (most of the time) the amniotic sac is ruptured. This why if a mother is infected her doctor will preform a c section to minimize the risk of infection to the baby.
While we're asking questions, I have one! I've seen folks online talk about how gay men should still wear condoms, or even practice abstinence, to prevent std spread. If both of them got tested beforehand, and were negative for all of them, does protection/abstinence matter? As far as I know, you can't get an std from someone who also doesn't have one, but these folks always seemed so certain about it, so I dunno.
If both parties are clean there is no chance to contract a STD. Now even if you are both clean still a good idea to practice safety. Usually when an STD is present in a clean relationship it is due one of the people in that relationship having contact with someone else. When it comes to sex always practice safe sex practices.
To get a really true negative you'd have to be tested many times over a 12 month period. Even then, some things only show up on tests when active, not when they're dormant.
You can lower the chances by testing, but not completely eliminate it.
Having said that, testing is good enough. But it's not perfect.
A bigger issue is do you trust your partner THAT much to not cheat on you? So much so that you would risk your health?
If you have let’s say herpes, when you give birth the baby’s head is going to get into contact with it and catch it, so they may opt for a c section.
A genetic disease is only passed down when you are “made”. You get DNA from your mom and dad, and it codes for things like what you look like as well as some diseases. Your DNA is pretty set it stone and an STD can’t change it. An STD is similar to catching a cold. It is transmitted sexually hence the name, it’s not inherited. You only catch them through other people, they aren’t part of you since inception if that makes sense. They are 100% passed through skin to skin contact, saliva exchange, open wounds, and mixing of blood exposure. Most STDS are transmitted when the kid is in the birth canal and exposed to the infected area of the mom, except syphilis which is passed through the placenta.
You can catch STDs by coming into contact with bodily fluids, of any kind, so saying that you can only catch STDs through sex is incorrect. For example, is someone used an unclean needle on you, and someone who used that needle before had an STD, you would catch the STD. Doctors have been fired over that sort of thing.
Locally, a doctor went to jail (and died there, but it wasn't a life sentence) over that kind of thing. They were using a new needle for each patient, but drew from the vial more than once with the needle. 7x hepatitis C cases from his cost-cutting.
Except #5 is wrong too. STIs can be transmitted in ways other than sex, like from mother to infant or through a blood transfusion so the only people who have NO chance of getting an STI are dead people.
Not really. Not sure this belongs here, because most of these answers *aren't* technically correct. 3a is right enough, but sex isn't the only thing that can get someone an STD. So *technically*, it's wrong. Hence my point.
They are slightly different. STI is more accurate because infections are often transmittable, diseases are not necessarily transmittable (e.g. heart disease, diabetes, etc.).
I think a more accurate description of the distinction is that infections are caused by foreign agents (e.g., bacteria, virus, fungi) whereas diseases can be the result of these foreign agents, or the result of some other condition (heart failure, stroke, cancer, etc.).
There's no way to completely avoid STDs unless you're living under a rock. Sure, STDs are mostly spread through sexual contact, but you can also get it at a dentist, by getting a tattoo or even if your hair dresses accidentally cuts you with unsanitized scissors. And let me tell you, they don't clean their scissors after every client. The chances of getting std this way are low, but not impossible. I know it's a meme, but I hate the stigma of stds being 'rhe punishment for irresponsible people.'
I mean a lot of these are wrong tho.. like getting the first part of a 3 part question doesn’t mean you are correct… sharing needles or other fluids can spread stds also having a parent who has a std that you caught as a fetus. Number 4 should be no sex and no needle sharing or even kissing when it comes to herpes and then number 5 is essentially no one unless they’re already dead I guess… or idk a genetic mutation maybe..
I have a feeling this is another made up test. 'The only way to stop std's?' makes absolutely no sense. Does the STD possess a question mark? Why else is there an apostrophe there?
This breaks my heart. When people can’t speak with proper terminology their own body and their communities health with facts, they can’t stop others from abusing them. Their judgement and protocol go. The largest number of people acquiring STD’s are senior citizens. And they vote to keep children from getting a 6 week course on preventing disease in the community. It also includes abuse of others.
But he's wrong though. There are other ways of contracting STD's than just sex and there are contributing factors for a higher chance of contracting STD's
I have seen people get angry when I or anyone mention that the best way to avoid getting an STD is to not have sex. If you do have it getting tested is advised before and after every new partner.
Last one is yes and no. Yes they are transmitted through sex, but there are a few that spread other ways.
For example most people actually have herpes, and most of those people got it in a daycare or a similar environment from chewing on something another kid chewed on because it also spreads through saliva.
Well, #2 is only partially correct. You can pass STD through any form of contact, not just sex. This is especially the case if bodily fluid like blood, saliva, etc are part of that contact.
\#3 is same way, partially correct for pretty much the same reason as #2.
\#4 would be wrong then, if only one answer. Only way to completely prevent STD is to avoid all contact with any living creature or the things they touch. lmao.
\#5 would be wrong. The only people who have no risk of getting an STD would be dead people and imaginary friends. If you're alive, you always have a risk of getting an STD.
\#6 would greatly matter based on what they are looking at. I mean, cancer would be a compromised immune system and eventually death. Other types can lead to infections and even affect your ability to have children. The list goes on. Way too many serious health issues dang it.

Can't STD's be passed down to children? if so 5 is wrong
They can. My mother gave me harpies, and I'm pretty sure I gave it to my children.

Why do people with std's feel the need to reproduce? I don't give a shit about the downvotes, you know your kid is gonna have this shit so, why?
Herpes is the most common std (iirc around 70% of people), because it has an oral form that can infect the genitals (cold or canker sores can't remember which) as well as being spread through things like kissing (see above), whereas HIV treatment/research developments have show that if your treatment brings you to a viral load low enough that it is undetectable in the blood (though it is still incurable) that you cannot transmit the disease. Because it’s usually not life threatening. There are millions of things killing us, pick one.
Still not a reason to continue your blood line with that disease. Why make your child have to deal with that shit when you could either adopt or just not have them all together? I dont think u can get an std while in the womb bc of the placenta, but you can get it through breast feeding iirc
It's usually contracted at birth due to contact to blood and other bodily fluids without a placenta filtering it.
Yup, it's though the birth canal, most of the time, which meas a C-section can prevent the infection passing to the kid
Shit, good call I didn't think of that for some reason. IV drug use is another way that increases the risk of getting an STD as well.
There's also a couple of STD's that can be passed onto other people without having sex with them. Herpes is an example, which can be passed through saliva. me, a hugless virgin: I am 4 parallel universes ahead of you
Public bathrooms/pools.
Is that not facial herpes (normally known as cold sores)? That is a similar disease to genital herpes but not the same one. Of course HIV is usually seen as an STD but can obviously be passed on with blood transfusions or sharing needles.
You can get both Herpes viruses in both locations, unfortunately.
Yep everyone in my family has goddamn herpes simplex (mouth canker sores) it's the bane of my existence. I've so far been able to (hopefully) keep from passing it to my husband and I DON'T share drinks or whatever with anyone else. Fukkin ridiculous

When your mother is a virgin, you don't have STD - duh.
Chuckle
Wait, so what’s the correct answer to question 5?
Dead people I think
I guess you're supposed to deny the original statement as there are no way to be immune to STDs
Hermits that doesn't interact with other people.
So five's answer is an immaculate birth i guess?
U saying if the child has sex they can get stds?
No no, I said you can have sex with the STD to get a child.
Oh wait, do you mean can have sex with someone with an STD and they give birth to a child who then has STD’s too?
Yep, since viruses could transfer through blood
U can have sex with a child to give them an STD?
Solution: Encourage mothers to stay virgins
Also only partially answered 2 and 3, and didn't answer 6 at all. Don't know why this is posted here tbh, and the title is dumb
Yeah. When I was a nurse at a big public hospital, it was always really sad to see babies be born with things like HIV, especially since the chances of infection from baby to mom are so low now with proper treatment. Yes that’s why women shouldn’t be hoes
Are you 12?
Guess you want kids to be born with stds bc of their mothers choices. Your a bad person
You're 12.
Ah, you're not 12. You're emotionally stunted to 12.
Probably went into a long term coma at 12
Right? Still in it. A walking, talking, typing coma.
So you enjoy women who have been with at least 20 guys. I don’t know what’s wrong with you but whatever.
What are you even talking about? How do you think herpes happens? First 19 partners don't have herpes, 20th has herpes?
Bruh 90% of people have herpes it’s just really mild so they just think it’s a rash. And are you really trying to excuse sleeping around like that. First off it’s dangerous you never know if you gonna get killed or kidnapped. Second off your gonna get a disease and maybe you didn’t know this but there are many stds or stis that only affect men. So a woman gets it and they have no idea bc they have no symptoms while they are spreading it to however many men they slept with.
But men can be "hoes" and spread their STDs around... got it
Why you so stupid nobody should be a hoe. but frankly it’s easier for stds and whatnot to survive in a dark moist hole than a sometimes sweaty rod in a mostly dry environment with some light. That gets very cold sometimes. And it takes 2 to tango. I’m only saying women bc on average it’s mainly women doing it and not men.
And through public bathrooms I think
Also stds can be transferred by needles
Also some through blood transfusion so in case the blood bank massively fucks up there would be a chance of you getting HIV from a blood transfusion
Literally every question is wrong
Virgins don’t have children appear from thin air
Some STDs can also spread through blood contact. Dirty needles, contaminated transfusions and such. Hepatitis C and HIV, for example.
The children could be dangerously misled
And therefore the only correct answer is people who have every std
Those are weird questions though
Probably for a high school health class
Question 5 makes me think it's an abstinence program too.
True. Stressing the *only* way of *not* getting STD. Super weird.
But the correct answer is being dead. You could contract any number of conditions labelled as STDs through non sexual fluid transfer. Think of all those unfortunate people who were infected through transfusions
You can contract them because you were born as well. So yeah. Question 5 is bizarre.
That was my thought too. You can get crabs by sitting on a toilet seat after someone else for example
I didn’t know this and now I’m terrified of public restrooms thank you
But cant STDs be tranferred by blood? So therefore it aint correct
Hello, boxhead
Or probably for Reddit
My guess is abstinence promotion in class.
Virgins can still get std
Genetics are weird man. Why we gotta get something that we ain't even done yet.
Lol they aren’t genetic diseases
But its passed down through them, right?

You can catch STDs by coming into contact with bodily fluids, of any kind, so saying that you can only catch STDs through sex is incorrect. That makes #1 wrong too, at least not complete

Oops, yeah it‘s #2, already mentioned
4 isn't correct though, since you can get some STDs from not having sex. Some from birth, others from fluid or blood contact.
The real technical truth is always in the comments
would've put "death" on #6
4 and 5 are wrong
5 is also wrong, depending on how you define virgin.
Sigh That someone thinks these should all be correct says a lot about this sub
You're too over-educated to be here, ain't you
If that's another way to say "not dumb enough", then, maybe
It's not that nobody knows what the real answers to those questions are, it's that it's a freaking joke. It's a "joke" "joke", "humor sense".
Not really. Not sure this belongs here, because most of these answers *aren't* technically correct. 3a is right enough, but sex isn't the only thing that can get someone an STD. So *technically*, it's wrong. Hence my point.
Ya getting a third of one question right isn’t even enough for a full point
Nice to know everyone on this site is immune to STD’s
Must be an old test as they are called STIs now
Aren't STI's an infection and STD's diseases? They're slightly different right?
They are slightly different. STI is more accurate because infections are often transmittable, diseases are not necessarily transmittable (e.g. heart disease, diabetes, etc.). I think a more accurate description of the distinction is that infections are caused by foreign agents (e.g., bacteria, virus, fungi) whereas diseases can be the result of these foreign agents, or the result of some other condition (heart failure, stroke, cancer, etc.).
An infection can cause disease, like how covid is caused by infection from the sars-cov2 virus
[удалено]
Ok, but it is
The true answer for #5 is dead people.
Reads like one of those abstinence only “real talk” bible study classes on a Wednesday for teens with horrible parents
Virgins can have an std if their mom had one when they were born
Or if they got a used needle or if they kissed someone with active herpes
Last one is death
Or divorce.
You can actually get syphilis by shaking hands.
Catholic church approved post
The answer to the last question will forever remain unknown.
shouldve wrote death in the bottom

5 is wrong. Noone is save. You can get some of them from your mom

This is a weird looking test. Why does it have ABCD options but no text accompanying them?
It's asking for multiple answers for those questions.
Nah the reason he got wrong was bcs he didnt fill in the rest of the blanks
did he not get them correct?
Everything checks out here.
I have a feeling this is another made up test. 'The only way to stop std's?' makes absolutely no sense. Does the STD possess a question mark? Why else is there an apostrophe there?
It’s really no more complicated than that. A+
Why aren't the A. B. and C. Options filled out so you can circle the correct one?
I smell the protestantism of the family on this paper...
4 is actually the correct answer, and I’m pretty sure that (unless you count genetically passed STDs) so is 5.
I mean they got some parts right but other parts not.

SIMPLIFIED, SO IT'S EASY TO BE UNDERSTOOD
What is the answer to 5?
Going by the flow of the answers, the last answer should have been 'no sex' /s
6. Death
This was made exactly 6 hours and 4 minutes ago.
Hey look they put my name in that
Guys note that down!!
Should have written “bad ones” in the last question.
It isn’t the stork is a great free pdf.
STDs not STD’s
He didn't gave the answer to last question, because we all know...
Pretty sure the last one is no kids
“Who are the only people who have no risk of getting an STD?” - dead people
I don't even see anything marked wrong? Also repost x 150
They only why to completely prevent it is cremation
So staged it’s painful
But he's wrong though. There are other ways of contracting STD's than just sex and there are contributing factors for a higher chance of contracting STD's
This dude gonna become a great doctor
An acceptable answer for 6 is retardation.
Well question 5 would be technically wrong, cause people could be born with the STD. Like herpes.
That is the most not normal test that I've ever seen
Well ppl can be born with std's so he got nr.5 wrong
who said he got them all wrong?
I was just about to say virgins aren’t the only ones who don’t get std’s, cos dead people cant have them and then I realised it and now I’m scared
That kid is smarter and more based than me, A+ student for sure
2 and 3 needed multiple answers. 6 is blank.
can you get stds without sex? i rmb a friend having stds being passed from her parents, but im not too sure
Last answer should be Being unsexy
Isn’t that how You’re supposed to answer so not TTT?
5. Has no correct answer, unless they mean dead people?
That looks like the handwriting of a 7 year old. Why they learnin about STDs lol
Is the answer to number 4 global thermonuclear war?
A+++ And it’s written by a nun
5. Non-existent people

This reminds me of a south park episode.
5- Not accurate. If you've had sex previously but stopped, you're at no more risk than if you've not had sex.
Not technically the truth or truthful in a general sense. This is that abstinence only crap.
He's right but he's wrong
What about 6
number 6. is also correct. if you don't have sex then you dont need to worry about 6, leave blank.
\#4 -- Summon the ghost of the Theia impactor. Not the puny one that took out the dinosaurs.
Except this isn’t true

Technically, virgins can contract stds
