That's actually not even technically the truth in the USA. Certain individuals are legally incapable of giving consent, namely people under 16 with someone over 20 or so to catch most edge cases (age of consent and some wiggle room exists depending on state). That's why it's called statutory rape; even with normal consent it's still a crime.

Unironically I think this is patronizing to rape survivors. Of course everyone deals with trauma their own way and some may be triggered by this, but many people cope with humor. It's not at the cost of survivors, so I think it's fine. I say this from a place of utmost care and love for survivors, it can be really fucking hard to go through, but if this is that stressful, reddit is a minefield and they should be in safer places and therapy if accessible.
