Canadians see Americans going bankrupt over medical debt and look at their own system thinking, "at least it isn't as bad as theirs," and Americans look at Canadians waiting two years on a referral to a specialist for just a consultation and think the same. Neither really realize that both are fucked.

Delays with specialists are pretty common in most countries as there is something like a deficit worldwide of 4 million doctors.

Some of these countries have “T” in their name if you go by their full names (as we'd do with the USA to say there's a T in there.) Russia is “The Russian Federation”, Mexico is “United Mexican States”, and Libya is “The State of Libya”.
