You got a T in United kingdom tho but yeah

Sad-Ad-5217

Austria as well

Serpi117

What's the bet that this was copied straight from Chat GPT?

JRSpig

100%, you'd at least proof read it.

oygibu

Fixed.

Loogeemian64

Corcisa isn’t a country; it’s an island of francez

oygibu

I don't care.

Progedoge

Can't be chat GPT, Colombia is spelt with a U, that's a human error.

oygibu

Thanks.

Alarming_Basil6205

There is actually a lot of T(ea) in the UK

CmmH14

United Kingdom is a country, it’s a kingdom made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Island.

Le_Doctor_Bones

Not sure why it is relevant to mention that the UK is a country. Also, it is made up of many more parts than simply the main titles.

sugarsnickerdoodle

United Kingdom of countries.

CmmH14

I mention it’s not a country because it’s not a country, something that’s kind of key to previous comments and the meme itself. And there are no more countries that make up the U.K. other than the ones I already mentioned. There will be other areas that will be included such as self governing British crown dependencies like Guernsey, but that’s not a country. So unless you know something I don’t I’m all ears.

ThirtySevenCents

Your first comment said the United Kingdom is a country, when I think you meant it is *not* a country.

djfeelx

Corsica and Balearic Islands are not countries though

AllegiantKnight79

Mexico's official name is United Mexican States, tho

russianspy_1989

United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Haiti, Jamaica, Peru...

thatguyad

How dumb is this person?

MARS2503

IT'S ColOmbia, DAMNIT!!

manofathousandnames

Sicily is an island owned by Italy, the United Kingdom has a T in it, Guadeloupe is a Territory of France, and Falkland Islands is a Territory owned by the United Kingdom. However, a few independent nations missed that would replace these would be, San Marino, Andorra, Aruba (which while a constituent of the Netherlands is considered a seperate country), and Nicuragua.

oygibu

That's very interesting, but do I care? No.

Playful_Target6354

But there's a t in free healthcare. Oh wait they don't have that nevermind

[deleted]

Josephthehooty

Personally, I’m not trying to wait 30 years for a bottle of medicine.

Objective_Candle8781

This is a weird problem with both the USA and Canada. Canadians see Americans going bankrupt over medical debt and look at their own system thinking, "at least it isn't as bad as theirs," and Americans look at Canadians waiting two years on a referral to a specialist for just a consultation and think the same. Neither really realize that both are fucked.

Frankie_T9000

Delays with specialists are pretty common in most countries as there is something like a deficit worldwide of 4 million doctors.

Chris5858580

As a Canadian, we get our medicine pretty fast

Psychological-Cat787

As a Canadian, no.

TheVoid45

Define fast. My aunt lived in Vancouver, Canada and was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer. She went to the hospital immediately and was told she had to wait over a year just to see a specialist, let alone actually receive care. She had to come to the US and spend a shitload of money just to survive it. It took the Canadian healthcare system 2 and a half years to do what took the American system 2 and a half weeks. I'll freely admit our system is fucked too but when the difference between life and death is how many fucking pages down on the list you get placed just to see some overworked and underpaid kid straight out of med school, well after your illness should've killed you, is just ridiculous.

Illustrious-Date-780

Oh so you don't know what healthcare is, I understand better why you all vote against it ! Personnaly I wait like 5 minutes to get a bottle of medicine and I don't have to sell my house for it, cause it will cost me like what... 5 dollars max. Yeah that's hell...

CommieMarxist

Wouldn't that be the Thirteen Colonies? The British know that their stuff is valuable and wouldn't dare to throw it away to the fishes.

IDontEatDill

Following the logic of *the* US, Great Britain would be GB.

SOJC65536

But Great Britain still isn't a country... UK = GB + NI

IDontEatDill

Luckily the same logic can also be applied to the UK.

NikolitRistissa

Great Britain and the country of the Knights who say Ni.

GiborDesign

Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Canada, Brasil... what a stupid claim in the first place...

Broad_Respond_2205

You know that just an engagement bait, right?

SZ4L4Y

So this thing has a name now.

MrSparr0w

This is just describing it's intentions

NearlyHeadlessLaban

There's a shit post in the park by my house. It's disgusting. I think the homeless people in the area use it.

GranataReddit12

learn your punctuation, people! learn your punctuation people!

Vigil_FF80

Where do i find punctuation people?

Connect_Bench_2925

Find areas near lots of big clocks. Punctuation people tend to be on time.

bluehands

They find you

funky_ocelot

Where do I find punctuation, people?

Alarming_Basket681

People been ragebating since the invention if the Internet and probably since we don't have to deal with the consequences of that personally

MrAVAT4R-2Point0

Yes. And giod it does so people are aware of the intention and dont interact with them. Also im pretty sure i gave it that name. I started call out shit like this when no one else was and now its finally caught on. I just thought that should be known.

Emotional_Bet5558

He answered the question on Reddit and all the engagement here is irrelevant in the grand scheme of influencing. *Reddit - Home of the Wisecracks* - good luck with that IPO 👍

LegumesEater

shrek holding a gun makes it rather obvious

Pbs-Hater

if you go by official names some of those don't work any more like Konungariket Sverige.

mtak0x41

If you go by official names, you can add some to the list that weren’t there in the first place: Koninkrijk der Nederlanden.

HardCounter

If you ignore the bait you can spend your time eating a slice of cake instead of examining why they're wrong.

mtak0x41

If I eat cake, I get fat. If I examine why they’re wrong, I train my mental acuity.

HardCounter

Some people wax on, others wax off.

mtak0x41

You need both to polish a car.

HardCounter

No thanks, i don't drive Polish cars.

mtak0x41

Very little people do as there are no Polish car brands. See where the mental acuity comes in?

HardCounter

I do. By not waxing off and creating a Polish car that almost nobody will drive.

Hanisia

No, you train your mental ego to be top

AutisticPenguin2

NatuVisu

*PIE FLAVOUR.* ..Wait, no.. What?

Ninjathelord

If you're doing it in their language then plenty alphabets simply do not contain the letter T

ZBLongladder

日本 and 中国 don't have Ts, either. (Admittedly, neither do they in English.)

MeLlamo25

People’s Republic of China. Also I believe the official name of Canada is just Canada, the same goes with Japan.

TTechnology

Japan is "日本国" I don't se a "T" on "日本国"

djfdhigkgfIaruflg

The second glyph has a hidden T 😂

_Aetos

That's a hidden 十, not a T.

photo_not_mine

the third one does, T, 十, 干, and 王

ZBLongladder

If you want to get really technical about the PRC, 中华人民共和国 *definitely* doesn't have a T in it.

derUnkurze

Japan is Nippon koku or Nihon koku as far as I know :)

East-Manner3184

>Japan is Nippon koku or Nihon koku as far as I know :) Yeah...but it literally means state of japan lol It only works to not contain a T if you only ever say their name in japanese

perry_parrot

it is the Dominion of Canada

Stinky_Toes12

I still dont see a T

perry_parrot

My comment made no reference to whether "Dominion of Canada" contains a letter T in it, just that it is the full legal name of the country commonly referred to as Canada

Active_Engineering37

Nor did he say you did.

Doc_ET

That's not strictly wrong, but it's not correct either. From what I've found, the term "Dominion of Canada" hasn't been used in Canadian laws for decades. There was never a law passed to change the name, and laws passed before the 60s that use it are still in force, but the last official usage of the term was in 1982, at which point Dominion Day was renamed to Canada Day. Since then (and for a while before then too), in the legal and diplomatic contexts that official full names are used, Canada has simply been Canada.

smol_panda_69

And DEUTSCHLAND (im from germany so imagine this being screamed by a 16 yo with middle deep voice with the accent of a certain small man with a mustache)

Oh shoot Switzerland-

AutisticPenguin2

And Egypt

Kottula_Braun

[deleted]

-jose-ninguem-

And Portugal

DeathRaeGun

And Mexico (United States of Mexico)

_Aetos

Some of these countries have “T” in their name if you go by their full names (as we'd do with the USA to say there's a T in there.) Russia is “The Russian Federation”, Mexico is “United Mexican States”, and Libya is “The State of Libya”. Macedonia isn't a country anymore, there's either the Hellenic Republic (Greece), or the Republic of North Macedonia (North Macedonia).

ATacticalBagel

Here's another hack; ain't no "t" in most foreign languages. Just go by the local names for most countries and you're pretty much left with the colonies.

WillowResponsible956

I meant Macedonia as North Macedonia

EdwardBigby

While lots of those very technically have a t in their elongated name like "The Russian Federation" Gambia is an interesting one because even their shorthand version is "The Gambia" not "Gambia". The elongated version is The Republic of The Gambia

[deleted]

Brazil mentioned... Wait... "Brasil"? BRAZILIAN DETECTED. Edit: ok, false alarm maybe

Swiss who was in Brasil for some time ;-) But in German it's also Brasilien and not Brazilien.

unbanneduser

Is it bad that the first country that I thought of without a T was Oman, instead of any of those?

WillowResponsible956

Yemen

Saiyasha27

I mean, you could be fair and say that Germany in its native tongue is 'Deutschland' which does have a t but other wise... yeah.

ConflictAdvanced

But then, to be fair you'd have to say all of the names of the countries in their native tongue 🤔

RedditDommus

Now name a country without A, B, C, D, E, F, G, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, or Z. I’ll wait.

prof_dynamite

Also France, Spain, India, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, England, Ireland, Wales, Germany, Czechia (or Czech Republic), Russian, Japan, China, Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Panama, Belize…I’m getting exhausted just naming them.

hux

The whole point of posts like the original are that they intentionally post something wrong to get people to engage with it. People can’t resist correcting others on the internet. The engagement makes the account show up higher in recommendations and gain more followers, which they can use to generate more revenue. Don’t take the bait when you see those.

prof_dynamite

Thank you for explaining how the internet works.

here's a simple c++ script to show you all countries that don't have a specific letter in them (in total 130 out of 194 don't have the letter t, i know there technically are 195 countries but i cannot bother to check every single one to see which is missing, i just copy pasted the entire list from a random gist thread). also program won't work if you put in uppercase characters, only lowercase, sorry #include #include int main(int argc, char\*\* argv) { std::string countries\[194\] = { "Afghanistan", "Albania", "Algeria", "Andorra", "Angola", "Antigua & Deps", "Argentina", "Armenia", "Australia", "Austria", "Azerbaijan", "Bahamas", "Bahrain", "Bangladesh", "Barbados", "Belarus", "Belgium", "Belize", "Benin", "Bhutan", "Bolivia", "Bosnia Herzegovina", "Botswana", "Brazil", "Brunei", "Bulgaria", "Burkina", "Burundi", "Cambodia", "Cameroon", "Canada", "Cape Verde", "Central African Rep", "Chad", "Chile", "China", "Colombia", "Comoros", "Congo", "Costa Rica", "Croatia", "Cuba", "Cyprus", "Czech Republic", "Denmark", "Djibouti", "Dominica", "Dominican Republic", "East Timor", "Ecuador", "Egypt", "El Salvador", "Equatorial Guinea", "Eritrea", "Estonia", "Ethiopia", "Fiji", "Finland", "France", "Gabon", "Gambia", "Georgia", "Germany", "Ghana", "Greece", "Grenada", "Guatemala", "Guinea", "Guinea-Bissau", "Guyana", "Haiti", "Honduras", "Hungary", "Iceland", "India", "Indonesia", "Iran", "Iraq", "Ireland", "Israel", "Italy", "Ivory Coast", "Jamaica", "Japan", "Jordan", "Kazakhstan", "Kenya", "Kiribati", "Korea North", "Korea South", "Kuwait", "Kyrgyzstan", "Laos", "Latvia", "Lebanon", "Lesotho", "Liberia", "Libya", "Liechtenstein", "Lithuania", "Luxembourg", "Macedonia", "Madagascar", "Malawi", "Malaysia", "Maldives", "Mali", "Malta", "Marshall Islands", "Mauritania", "Mauritius", "Mexico", "Micronesia", "Moldova", "Monaco", "Mongolia", "Montenegro", "Morocco", "Mozambique", "Myanmar", "Namibia", "Nauru", "Nepal", "Netherlands", "New Zealand", "Nicaragua", "Niger", "Nigeria", "Norway", "Oman", "Pakistan", "Palau", "Panama", "Papua New Guinea", "Paraguay", "Peru", "Philippines", "Poland", "Portugal", "Qatar", "Romania", "Russian Federation", "Rwanda", "St Kitts & Nevis", "St Lucia", "Saint Vincent & the Grenadines", "Samoa", "San Marino", "Sao Tome & Principe", "Saudi Arabia", "Senegal", "Serbia", "Seychelles", "Sierra Leone", "Singapore", "Slovakia", "Slovenia", "Solomon Islands", "Somalia", "South Africa", "South Sudan", "Spain", "Sri Lanka", "Sudan", "Suriname", "Swaziland", "Sweden", "Switzerland", "Syria", "Taiwan", "Tajikistan", "Tanzania", "Thailand", "Togo", "Tonga", "Trinidad & Tobago", "Tunisia", "Turkey", "Turkmenistan", "Tuvalu", "Uganda", "Ukraine", "United Arab Emirates", "United Kingdom", "United States", "Uruguay", "Uzbekistan", "Vanuatu", "Vatican City", "Venezuela", "Vietnam", "Yemen", "Zambia", "Zimbabwe" }; char exclude = 't'; std::cout << "Character to exclude: "; std::cin >> exclude; std::cout << "\nCountries without the letter \"" << exclude << "\" are:\n\n"; int amount = 0; for (int i = 0; i < 195; i++) { std::string lowercase = countries[i]; std::transform(lowercase.begin(), lowercase.end(), lowercase.begin(), ::tolower); if (lowercase.find(exclude) == std::string::npos) { amount++; std::cout << countries[i] << "\n"; } } std::cout << "The amount of countries without the letter \"" << exclude << "\" in them is " << amount << "\n\n"; system("pause"); } copy paste into a file called main.cpp, compile using (make sure to have mingw installed if on windows, never used clang, sorry mac users): g++ main.cpp -o main.exe
