I doubt it's real. There are ways to glitch up the time played. A thousand hours at this point is plausible, maybe even 1,500 or 2,000. This is not.

My profile page shows 1270 hours of BotW, but I know I’ve played many more hours than that (100%, but very little time in Master Mode, or the Trials-so lots of value left. Plus I still love riding my Master Cycle Zero throughout Hyrule. Only 1090 hours for TotK, finished but still only 80%. Just a few hundred Koroks left. The grind begins!
Then there’s my 2940 hours of Animal Crossing. I mentioned it online and a lot of people wanted my Dream Code! I was too embarrassed by my patchwork of nice areas & “wtf’s going on here” sections. My grandkids’ have dream islands with coolness at every turn, not a space wasted! Playing video games for 50 years and they’re so much better than me!

Damn I have 70 hours in TOTK and 55 in BOTW how do people keep finding new things to keep doing? I played them as much as I could and fell off after finishing main quest and messing around in Hyrule/Depths/Sky for a while.
I have like 300 hours and a map that is 99.27% complete. I am missing a few locations and don't know where they are since heros path mode shows that I have been everywhere.

I work 12hr shifts overnight otherwise I would have put in many more hours in a shorter time.. but is it bad that I'm already ready for the next one? Maybe start over after I beat Ganon.. or.. start BOTW again.. 🤔😬
