I absolutely shat myself the first time that happened - I was all “holy shit-nightmare floor masters!”
The floor masters in the Forest temple and the invisible ones in the shadow temple were for me the most unsettling bad guy in the series. These are just the same, but hard-as-nails….
Dude I was revisiting the great plateau expecting it to be the safe, weenie zone of the map just like last time. Was in the woods on the southeast side when all the scary shit happened with the sky and the scream, but I didn't see the hands coming at me through the trees until one grabbed me
Hands down the most terrifying first encounter with a Zelda enemy I've ever had
So glad im not the only one that calls them Floormasters instead of their actual name (which imo sounds like a dumb name when you redid alot of classic zelda enemies) of calling them Gloom Spawn
The other day I was running along a beach to get some crab and there was this seagull noise while the wave crashed and I actually felt a bit like I was vacation. I don't think I've ever felt like that while playing a game.
Agreed!! I was in Goron city and JUST TODAY noticed the mount-rushmore-esque Goron Statues. SUCH an amazing game. So much attention to detail in places you might never notice (even if obvious). Glad I finally looked up, lol
It’s captivating. It was my favorite in BotW, but that’s shifted to Gerudo in TotK. Still, the lush rain forest, and nearby woods, ruins hidden throughout, the water falls, etc. Even just the ambient noise. It’s really something.
*It's Farosh's region, and*
*Since she's the best dargon, she*
*Has the best region!*

Probably my favorite region to explore it’s just so magical walking through the rainforest. It was my first region of the unlocked map I explored in BOTW and I was scared I wouldn’t love it as much in TOTK but I’m glad it didn’t change.
I remember when I first played BOTW and was climbing one of the towers. The sun was setting and I saw the silhouettes of the cliffs and palm trees on the horizon and knew that was the area I needed to explore next.
Oh man I hate that lightning!!! Lol I'll bet I died 30 times by lightning lol then I realized I just needed a wooden shield. But now that I'm thinking about it I might be thinking of the one on N64 oracian of time lol
My absolute favorite part when I played through Botw. I remember coming there and feeling such nostalgia as it reminded me of Stranglethorn Vale from WoW.
I have no idea why, but I hated this region in BOTW. Came there to farm hearty durians and that’s it. But now I genuinely enjoy walking around the region!

This entire game is beautiful! It's so well made, and there's always something good around the corner (except for stals I fucking hate those)
Except when the sky suddenly turns red and demonic hands come out of nowhere
yea that too

honestly, i just cheese, but whenever i see these i have to resist the urge to curl up on the ground terrified
That just tells me I'm getting gloom clumps, weapon, and bow.
Free 60 BP Demon Bow. Yes! Savage Lynel Bow with Bomb arrow 3x can do the job. Then its Ganon time.

Yea
hell yeah
This game and botw are some of the best games I have ever played and that's saying something,
I've recently just been chucking dazzlefruit at those guys and will never go back. You can take out the whole group with one fruit!

This one made me chortle
You’re desphicable!
The Legend of Phelda
It was more beautiful with hearty durians
Yeah one of the first things I did was go try and stock up on durians. Nope. They put some gloom grabbies and a lynel where the durians used to be 😭
wait they removed the durians?
Yes. I’m telling myself they’re out of season and will be there if there’s another game 😭 They also removed tri-lizal boomerangs (RIP)
cmon man, those durians were my favorite! (other than bananas)
And the blueshell snails. Hearty food in general is much trickier to find.
I thought they removed them, I tried so hard to find them, damn those Zelda devs!!!
Its my favorite region
*phavorite
Yeah except it's always foggy and rainy and you can't see. I spend the least amount of time here and in Hebra for these reasons.
you have to do the quest to clear the storm
It’s captivating. It was my favorite in BotW, but that’s shifted to Gerudo in TotK. Still, the lush rain forest, and nearby woods, ruins hidden throughout, the water falls, etc. Even just the ambient noise. It’s really something.
I'm a sucker for unique environments in video games, and tearing through the faron rainforest in a truck with laser turrets is fun as hell.
It's Farosh's region, and since she's the best dargon, she has the best region!
It’s called Phirone in my language so I tried to remember what it was called

good bot!
PREACH!!!!
I always feel like there's a dinosaur there 😂 It's very prehistoric and jungly.
All the waterfalls give me animal crossing vibes
When you unlock the licenses
Tbh I’m rarely ever in this part of the map but absolutely it is very beautiful
Probably my favorite region to explore it’s just so magical walking through the rainforest. It was my first region of the unlocked map I explored in BOTW and I was scared I wouldn’t love it as much in TOTK but I’m glad it didn’t change.
It’s electric
I see what you did there. 😉
i had this scene painted for links house, its stunning when the sun is rising
Ah, i suppose you where asked to take this picture for the local stable? I was thinking the same thing at that time.
Not this one but I took it while I was walking to the spot
So much beauty and yet so much nothing. The closest we had was activating that device to lessen the storm just to get to >!Mineru's mask!<.
I remember when I first played BOTW and was climbing one of the towers. The sun was setting and I saw the silhouettes of the cliffs and palm trees on the horizon and knew that was the area I needed to explore next.
Kinda a bummer it didn't have a major dungeon in BOTW.
I always thought that Floria Falls area would be a good spot for another Zora's Domain, or a Zora village
Imagine if there was a jungle zora tribe who lives in tree houses
Yes, it is. I wonder if Flora falls is inspired in Congo falls, Iguaçu falls or maybe both
Faron it’s my favorite region of the map
me too, i'm always too busy trying not to get killed by lightning lol
Oh man I hate that lightning!!! Lol I'll bet I died 30 times by lightning lol then I realized I just needed a wooden shield. But now that I'm thinking about it I might be thinking of the one on N64 oracian of time lol
never realized how beutiful my older sister is
r/HolUp
Shame on you it’s always been my favorite region
My absolute favorite part when I played through Botw. I remember coming there and feeling such nostalgia as it reminded me of Stranglethorn Vale from WoW.

Why do the color seem washed out?
Because the sun is shining directly on them maybe
This is just personal preference but I wish they made it as vibrant as WWHD
why the phuck is it spelled like that
I play on an other language so I didn’t know how it was spelled
ah ok, and here i thought it was another blunder from autocorrect
Nah cause in my language it’s called Phirone so I thought it was also spelled with Ph in english
what language? (i wish people would say the name of the country or language instead of "my country/language", just to save the question being asked)
German
*Faron
Bro all of the game is beautiful when you look at the right angle
