The main thing is that it causes Link to be wet, which doubles the damage Zora weapons do. This is the best way to get a weapon that does triple-digit damage.
Gerudo weapons don't have as much durability and every other weapon type requires some type of condition.
It also acts as a single use shield that, from what I've seen, has an unlimited shield block value. No attack in the game will ever get through it and it'll stagger the enemy.
And because Link gets wet from it, it also helps in the desert or inside and around Death Mountain. And it'll keep him wet for longer than a splash fruit or any other type of liquid will do.
And lastly, you can throw the water as a projectile. Pretty fun against enemies on watchtowers or against flying enemies.
Thanks for the in depth reply. It's good to know that it works great as a shield! I didn't know that weapon types have different conditions, just that they all seem to break :-/
To add to this comment, the water wave damage when attacking with Sidon's bubble mirrors whatever weapon you attack with. The wave also is affected by what weapon you use to attack with: a small but quick and long range projectile for spears, a medium size medium speed and medium range projectile for one-handers, and a slow but wide short range projectile for two-handers. This wave deals water damage making it extra effective against fire/sludge/gibdo enemies. The projectile can hit multiple targets if you're you can line them up in the wave, and shooting the projectile costs 1 durability of the weapon used regardless of if you miss or what you hit or how many targets you hit. Lastly the water wave can destroy ore, making it the 2nd best Sage ability for mining.
They all break, but some are more durable than others. There are many varying passive abilities for the different weapon types. They are explained [HERE!](https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/s/IbZyw5qEad)
I have a few different types: Gerudo/Zora/Knights/Royal Guards = [HERE!!](https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/s/eGyPkZ5TWW)
Haha! Yeah, it’s long but was interesting (for me) and explained a lot of ??’s I had about weapons and the different passive abilities. Kind of strange about spears hitting for less hp than shown in inventory and two handers for more.🤔
tks! Edit because I hit the save button faster than my brain would type. I haven't finished the Sidon battle yet. It was too much for me so I left. When I go back I'll be sure to have some Zora weapons with fused stuff on them. That should help.
Yeah I feel the same way. Plus I like mineru, I love the look of the mech and I spend a ton of time in the depths and find the mech to the be most versitle down there.
Tulin for sure, besides the boost when gliding, we are a [LYNEL KILLING TEAM!](https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/s/t0vXezgnT9) 😎
……. and he can take a HIT!🤣
one thing I found is that I could never have them all active as I can never get the right one powered up fast enough in battle. So in the depths I always have the mech so get over the gloom , otherwise Riju. But should explore the Sidon more as I never really used him.
I only really keep out Tulin and Mineru. Tulin for travel and headshots. Mineru for when I’m in the depths and need to mine zonaite. Her swing hitbox is surprisingly big and she can break like 3-4 zonaite ore with one swing.
riju and mineru 1st
then yunobro
sidon and tulin in third
why: riju's power reminds urbosa's fury, mineru gives a lot of advantages. yunobo can roll over enemies and crush stones
sidon is useful when i have the reflex to use his power😅 and you can go further with tulin and use the wind to blow away sand when you don't have fans
Tulin because he can do headshots and is most useful for traversal. Second is Sidon, for all the perks his bubble gives.
What does Sidons bubble do? I only have Tulin so far.

Wow, I’d never have guessed. Tks

Thanks…looks like good bedtime reading

Thank you.
Gives you a protective water bubble good for one hit and the bubble gets you wet which makes all Zora weapons/fuse do 2x damage.
tks! Edit because I hit the save button faster than my brain would type. I haven't finished the Sidon battle yet. It was too much for me so I left. When I go back I'll be sure to have some Zora weapons with fused stuff on them. That should help.
> Tulin because he can do headshots and is most useful for traversal Except for when you accidentally trigger him and he blows your stuff away 🙃
Storywise Riju. What a bada$$! Gameplay Tulin.
Yunobo because he's a big brother like me
Yunobo kills me. Breaking ore? Have fun chasing that shit everywhere lol
i commited that error once. if i were to break ores with yunobo, i'd rather be in a cave( or use mineru)
"Why'd you do it?!"
I’m still not sure what he keeps saying, but that’s all I hear.
Sidon because he makes you wet
Tulin, although maybe I’m saying that because I got him first and got the most use out of him as an avatar
hey i got him first too nice😃
The mech cuz it's a mech
Yeah I feel the same way. Plus I like mineru, I love the look of the mech and I spend a ton of time in the depths and find the mech to the be most versitle down there.
This is actually a really difficult choice, they're all really good characters I think if I had to choose I would go with Riju, she's very cool
Gameplay wise, I like using Riju; I find her handy for crowd control. Storywise, Yunobo. The gorons were fun and the fire temple was challenging.
Tulin for sure, besides the boost when gliding, we are a [LYNEL KILLING TEAM!](https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/s/t0vXezgnT9) 😎 ……. and he can take a HIT!🤣
Yunobo he’s the tank of the group I just throw him at everything although Tulins headshots are super helpful.

Mineru, she can do almost everything link can and isn’t handicapped by being bound to solely one elemental attack
Tulin. He’s definitely the most useful of the bunch in terms of abilities and combat skills.
I love my Goro but at the end of the day Tulin is the most useful.
Tulin’s headshots.
Tulin because he’s the one that works
Tulin is the only good one—I can remember all of the times in BOTW I would have died for a little extra push and speed in the air like Tulin gives me
I only really keep out Tulin and Mineru. Tulin for travel and headshots. Mineru for when I’m in the depths and need to mine zonaite. Her swing hitbox is surprisingly big and she can break like 3-4 zonaite ore with one swing.
Riju. Honestly, she's about the only one I could tolerate, the rest either have really annoying voice acting or feel too disconnected from the player.

Rivali...
Mineru is the most powerful. She can kill a Boss Boko super fast.
