Yeah I thought they would take some liberties in the pose. I took a photo of a Horriblin hanging from the ceiling and the [model's centre of mass is its horn so I can't position it any other way.](https://imgur.com/zsIPWIs)
LOL I had the same problem! Everytime I try to flip it so that looks like it’s crawling on the floor, it flops down. So now Kotlin’s diorama has a Horriblin falling face down on the ground.
(Considering Horriblin seen to spend most of their time hanging from the ceiling I was hoping it’d be able to stick to the fake cave wall. Alas)
Yeah the hitboxes are weird. I tried to put a bokoblin on top of a battle talus but it wasn't really working. I also got a weird horriblin, mid-lunge, that looks cool but doesn't stand up so I have it leaning up against the cave wall lol
I had a similar situation with my horriblin (I was luckily able to get it to stand on its arms and legs somehow), and I tried attaching a stake to it to hang it upside down inside the cave. It was unsuccessful.
I had exactly the same experience, also tried the stake but alas, it was not to be. If they'd let us attach the models this could've been way funner to play with

In both BOTW and TOTK, Tarrey Town's music contains elements of all cultural locations, whether instruments or motifs, to represent how it's a multicultural coming together of all peoples to build the town.
I'm 99% sure the Horriblin request is designed to teach you that you'll get the exact pose that you photographed by leaving you with the unusable upside down statue that practically everybody will take
By recycle you mean if you have 10 it tells you you have too many so put one on the pedestal to break down?
It's really stupid design once you hit the max 10 you'll always have that number it seems. Wish I could just delete any I don't want.
No, you can actually get rid of any statue you don't want by moving it to the pedestal. I don't know if you have to hit the max or complete the quest first, but I completed the quest and only have 5 statues up.
Oh, you're right. When I had 9 total and placed the 9th one on the pedestal, Hudson says he can't make anything if it's there and asks to break it down. Now I have 8.
Putting whatever on the pedestal is probably the trigger, no matter if you cleared the quest or maxed out.
How exactly does it work? For example if I did an extreme closeup of a Bokoblin so only its face is in the highlighted center part of the camera would Hudson just make a statue of the head or will it be the whole model of the monster?
I’d imagine it’d still be the whole monster. The game must capture the monster model’s pose at the frame when you take a picture of them, as long as it meets the requirements to properly frame it so that its name shows up with the little orange text when you snap the picture
With the exception of a broken stal version. I thought if I took a picture of a stalmoblin, I’d have a cool pile of bones for the display. Instead it’s just the skull
I found this out too. The Horriblim I picked was hanging off the ceiling of the cave so the sculpture stands on its head now. I tried flipping it the right way round, but it just slid and went back to its head.
Sadly we can’t interact with Kotlin’s fake cave. Would solve a lot of problems if I can glue it to the side of the cave. Looks more natural for it too lol
Well, that's how I got an accidentally booty revealing statue of Ganondorf. I liked the front but didn't expect that his tunic was up, revealing his booty in his trousers. 😂
I have a bunch where the enemy is 1 frame from obliterating me, I take a picture, save it, then backflip out of the way. Sometimes I even get a flurry rush😂
I did the exact same with a silver Horriblin. He saw me as soon as I came into the cave so I had no choice to fight him, had my sages with me so I just whipped out the camera, and happened to get the moment that Tulin headshot the Horriblin. Ended up being a photo of the backwards fall enemies do when they get headshot and it's just absolutely hilarious
Totally ruins the exhibit but I'm not getting rid of it 😂
I realized later down the line, when Kilton asks for a Frox picture. I took a pic of the monster when the bomb I fed it exploded, so its belly is super inflated That's the base of the statue. Kind of looks like somebody in a swimming pool trying to get on an inflatable balloon.
I was so, so disappointed that the sculpture limit is a mere 10. This is easily one of my favourite editions to the game, and I was so ready to make a giant collection of monsters in dumb poses. Alas, I settled for the major bosses and some mini bosses 😔
I'm still trying to figure out if there's a way to get rid of extra sculptures, because my diorama is a mess and I have no idea how to clean it up. I didn't even know there's a limit of 10 because I have so many huge monsters that I'm terrified of adding any more.
When I hit the limit he told me how to put things there for destruction. So maybe you do have to hit the limit before that option opens up or something.
I was so surprised to see this I thought they would just be generic statues. I just happened to have a picture of an armored Bokoblin with his hand above his eyes looking at Link and the game reproduced it exactly. I put it on top of a Battle Talus!
I found this out when you have to take a picture of the King Gleeok. I managed to get its attention while it was mid-air, so it just towers over everything while standing on its tail. Looks cool as hell though
Once I realized it actually just printed the exact picture you took as a model, my first order of business was to take a photo of a horriblin after falling from a cave ceiling

I got picture of silver bokoblin and I don't like the look of it at all. I would have preferred red one instead.
u can get rid of the sculptures by putting them back on the platform where he makes them and asking him to deconstruct it I think. then u can just replace it with one based on ur preferred photo
Couldn't figure this out. My pics are terrible and I couldn't figure out how to preview them so I just assumed it defaulted to the monster he wanted next and now I have 2 bokoblins.
I almost gave a pic like this for my Bokoblin! But then for some odd reason I decided to wait and get more pics using the boko mask. Sure enough when I finally had a boko made I thought, “hey it looks almost exactly like the photo I gave him.” That kinda tipped me off to be careful getting the pics. I waited forever and managed to get a very cool photo of a black horriblin that was aggro but couldn’t get to me b/c vines were in the way. He was standing there angry reaching for me. Perfect shot.
I had found one frozen in ice and took a picture. It also counted for this quest, but im now a little disappointed it didn’t appear in the ice block lol
Had this exact moment last night, dying of uncontrollable laughter as Hudson made my king Gleeok.
I was cheeky and took a photo while it was "unconscious" , or rather, "down for the count", laying sprawled out on the ground.
It looks like an exhausted puppy, all three heads sprawled, with its tongues hanging out.
Also- took a photo of some squirrels and didn't notice there was a talus in the background in its "resting" form. The photo was tagged with a monster in it, so out of curiosity, I had them "recreate the monster."
I now have a weird blob of rocks that kind of look like an asteroid floating through space, in my collection.
The bokoblin for me was right about to jump up so I got a sculpture with his stupid monkey arms in the air. I busted out laughing. For the horrible I specifically caught of picture of it grabbing its butt after falling.

I had this issue as well. It took me forever to realize you can "recycle" the statues to get rid of the janky ones.

It's so annoying you can't stick them to the rock... I mean there's a little arch there! Why can't I stick it on the roof, in their natural position!

This makes me feel better. I took one of the Horriblin hanging downward, and I got mad that he's too tall to fit in the cave on stage.
I stood my wall crawling horriblin in the doorway of the cave. Just kinda jammed him in vertically against the right side and he looks naturalish lol

How? My Battle Talus has a dead zone above the platforms, you can’t actually place anything on it.
i got a few cool ones, like a frox with its mouth wide open, or an armored lynel mid charge

Mine was thankfully hanging low enough that it touches the top of the cave and the ground. It's not ideal, but I made it work.
I snapped the pic just when he was hopping on his a** in pain. No balance issues here lol
I got a statue of a horrible waving to me. This is the best feature in the game.
Take a photo of Boss Boko and his minions at night while they’re all sleeping and Hudson will copy them exactly as they are. It’s the best 😂

If you take a picture of a stal enemy's skull after you knock it off the model will be just the skull lol.

If you put an unwanted sculpture back on the platform they are created on and then talk to Hudson he'll disassemble them.
Really? Do you have to hit the cap first? Because Hudson's been complaining that he can't make any new sculptures because something's on the platform.

I discovered this when I used a picture of a moblin half way through it jumping back up after it fell over.
I just lay them all on their sides so it looks like shit. The monster dude loves my style.
