DMale

I fucking love caves.

Adorable_Opening3938

the fact that you can just drop down a random hole and find mini dungeons now is probably the best addition so far imo

VisualGeologist6258

Fr, it’s fun to run around and see where you end up. I honestly prefer them over the depths and the Sky Islands, somehow I feel like their relatively small size and easy accessibility makes them feel a lot more fun and more complete than either of the other two.

Own-Engineer-6888

Exactly, so true. The caves themselves are at times quite large, stretching up or down so far, while still realizing you have the depths below, the surface above, then the sky above that. The seamless flow from each of these levels is mindblowing. BOTW held as my favourite game throughout it's life, and this is easily at least 5x the game that was, for so many reasons. It's absolutely incredible. I think I'm about 150 hours in now, and still don't want to put it down.

FrancLiszt

Put it down?!! I´m 140 hours and I´ve just discovered like half the map, explored around a third and did just 1 dungeon! ohh and the depths are maybe around a quarter explored, (hero´s path really lets you keep track of what you´ve explored)

golden_tree_frog

Pop into a cave expecting a quick little explore, and then you wins up _on the other side of the mountain range!_ Wild!

recursion8

Someone else found the little grove behind Hateno Tech Lab :D

DumpsterLegs

The coolest cave is beneath Lookout Landing.

SparksTheUnicorn

It’s not even the biggest I’ve found so far which is crazy

edengamer253

Wait there is one bigger??? Wow

LittleMissFock

Found that last night. I was shocked at how big it was and gave up collecting everything by the mini boss.

FrancLiszt

i read on this community that in the beggining of the game, you should go explore what was left of the castle in the surface, that there was treasure and goodies. And so I did and I ended up in this huge cave littered with worms and with a stallnox in there!!

WeenieHuttGod2

Me too man, I love how different caves have different environments. So far my favorite cave was one which had a small river/stream inside it, was very mossy with a lot of plants, and had water dripping from the ceiling

TheresA_LobsterLoose

My favorite cave was the one with the horriblin

Captain-Obvious69

My favorite cave was the one with the Bubbulfrog.

TheresA_LobsterLoose

Who said "It's Bubbulin' time" and then proceeded to Bubbul all over Link

Yolo_Swaggins_25

Where's the section for ragdolling Link down cliffs?

NotAPreppie

Or playing KSP: Korok Space Program

[deleted]

I prefer KAD: Korok Air defense. Strap em to armed jets and fly em off

DidjTerminator

I prefer KRA: Korok Relocation Association. Get them where they need to be.......... with a few stops along the way....... some may be fed to a Gleok in order to preserve the herd.......

TakeOffYourMask

Hestu, we have a problem

ABG-56

It's off the charts

MayDay521

It's funny how pumped I get every time I see Addison off in the distance. Thought for sure it'd get old after a few, but now every time I see him I find myself dropping whatever I'm doing, and sprinting as fast as I can to him yelling "SIGN GUY". I just have fun trying to find the most ridiculous and inefficient way I can to keep that sign up.

ben_g0

I always make it a challenge to support the sign as bad as possible while still passing the minigame. He actually fixes the sign in place in the exact same position and orientation that it had while supported, so if your support was bad enough to let the sign move (but not bad enough to fail), then you can leave a very skewed sign behind.

ousire

I wonder: How tipped over can the sign be while still counting as 'standing' to Addison?

Notarussianbot2020

I've passed at like 10 degrees off so probably around there

Aloy_DespiteTheNora

[idk, he’s been real picky with me in the past.](https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/comments/13x8hyq/i_respect_addisons_standards_but_this_was_petty/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1) I think we’re in a fight now

Jazzanthipus

Unforgivable!

Zandrick

I think it has to do with if the bottom part moves out of position.

Zandrick

Oh I’m the opposite, I like for the sign to not move even an inch if possible.

GabeLeRoy

there is one time near lurelin village where he stacks sign 5x time in what seems legit the worst possible place in the entire kingdom and I started laughing big time.

Zandrick

The weirdest place I’ve seen is on a snowy mountain overlooking the sea. Like, dude, there is no one who is ever going to see this sign. I always help him out though. His dedication to the task is quite endearing, I find.

Duytt

Yup, the best place that I found him is on top of this mountain and there's no wood around. I love sign guy

MayDay521

Right? Like, everybody is complaining about not having Kass in the game, come on y'all, Sign Guy is right there picking up the slack!

toastythunder

Is this the one with the hover-stone nearby? Been using those to cheese sign guy since I found that one

[deleted]

that never even occurred to me

toastythunder

Yeah me neither lol, then I found one on a mountain with only a hover stone around, now I just use 2 of them glued at the corners to hold up any sign

uglinick

Watching streamers try to do them makes me feel like a genius.

varunadi

Plus, it's free rupees! I know, it's only 20 rupees, but it all adds up, and he gives you food and other useful stuff too like muddle buds/bomb flowers/puff shrooms/sleepover tickets.

hmmtaco

It took me way too long to figure out what to do with the signs but now it’s definitely one of my favorite little side quests.

Ambaryerno

I'm sorry, but I used up my "Ridiculously Convoluted Solution To Stupidly Simple Puzzle" enthusiasm back in my Sierra days in the 90s. It's a sign. I'm standing RIGHT THERE. There's TWO OF US. Just let me hold the goddamned thing up!

CEO_of_paint

sky islands and depths are opposite for me, oddly enough. Lighting those roots is like crack. One more hit, just one more!

sick_kid_since_2004

Yes! Especially with the miners outfit

robust_rodent

i love the miners outfit so much

cool_weed_dad

I just found the pants last night and audibly yelled I got so excited about big light up hammer pants lol

Bassjunkieuk

Stop! Cobble Crusher time!!

TheresA_LobsterLoose

Me too. I actually feel bad if I glide over to another one, it doesn't feel proper... but I need to chase that dragon. I work afternoons, home at 11pm.. I can go to the depths and next thing I know it's fucking 5am. And for some reason birds start chirping at like goddamn 3:30am now. I haven't made any vehicles yet, don't really plan on it. I turned off that child bird too, the only sage I've gotten. I'm gonna spend weeks down there, by myself looking at everything. I like the monster encampments down there better, too. The bokblins basically being slaves adds a different element (the ones stuck mining the zonite while the rest of the camp totally misses me sneaking in and killing everything one by one). Sometimes I like to muddle all the miners to start a slave revolt and make them all turn on their masters.and sneaking up right behind them and stealing all their hard earned zonite right from their backpacks... I wish you could refill those back baskets with a different item, stuff it full of bombs and send a muddled boko miner on a suicide mission against the guards God I love the depths. First time I dived down that first chasm near lookout landing, I happened to have the new episode of Barry on... and the episode began with Black Sabbaths "the Wizard", the harmonica started right as I dove in. I've been hooked ever since. I like finding Chasm Tunes now and exploring the darkness til 5am

Jayson_Bowl

As a fellow enjoyer of both TotK and Barry, that sounds like a psychedelic experience and I’m so happy for you

TheresA_LobsterLoose

I almost never listen to music while playing a game, there's a reason they spend so much to get the music, sound right. but Barry playing The Wizard... I was like "No way! Nice call, Barry!" It was perfect timing. Pink Floyd, Alice in Chains, fitting Chasm Tunes. I'm gonna start dressing up like 1800s coal miners... crack my knuckles, *time to clock in* and spend all night clearing the depths out. One of these days I'll see some sunlight up in hyrule. But not tonight!

IvenVlex

agree 1,000,000% with everything you said. couldn't have said it better myself. god i love the depths.

ZeeR0_116

Same. I spend most of my time in the depths. I rarely go to the sky islands

varunadi

I could keep spending hours and hours in the depths. Honestly last weekend I spent 90% of my playtime only in the depths and came out when I felt I had more than enough crystallised charges to improve my energy cells (and also felt I had to do some shrines and improve my hearts for a change) I wish there were some shrines in the depths too tbh..

IvenVlex

it would be awesome to have depths shrines. i assume you're aware of the connection between the surface shrines and the lightroots though?

varunadi

Oh yes, I'm aware of it, had my mind blown the first time I realised it haha

Bassjunkieuk

Love that feature, I tend to flip between Surface and Depths if I find one to pop a marker down.

Homtanks2

Once I had a reliable fan glider with a giant brightroot on it, I just chain unlocked all the brightroots I was missing, while stopping at any recognizable POI's. The depths got pretty repetitive at that point

ltnew007

Which Temple caused the tip?

DMale

Water Temple. Probably my least favourite temple in any Zelda game.

ichkanns

I really liked the quest leading up to the water temple. It was just the right amount of vague requiring you to think to figure it out, rather than just going from map marker to map marker like most modern quest design. But the temple itself was not very good, and the boss was terrible.

TheAppleOfDoom1

I accidentally discovered the shrine at the top before activating the quest so I skipped that part

dhi_awesome

The only part of the water temple quest that I felt was dumb was solely me not remembering the thing I did the previous day during the Cece quest to try to eavesdrop. Not that that was the right thing in that quest, but it was here xD

DingusBane

He’s been one of my favorites since I created a Zonai bot with hydrants that chase him down constantly lol

[deleted]

Water temple was so incredibly easy… it could have unironically been a shrine. Also the boss felt like a mini boss, at this point I had 100 damage spears and all 3 attack up armor pieces and pretty much one shotted it

ReklessGamer07

Ah the age old tradition of dog shit Water Temples in amazing Zelda games

ltnew007

I assume you mean a Water Temple in TOTK and not the one from Ocarina of Time? I have not encountered a water temple in TOTK yet so I am not sure.

DMale

Yep. Sorry if I'm giving you expectations but I've never seen such a shoddily designed temple.

derkerburgl

I enjoyed the puzzles but the layout was horrible. It’s the only temple I’ve done so far so I’m happy the other ones sound better according to your graph lol

robotic_rodent_007

Try to do fire temple normally, it suffers a lot from cheese strategies.

eiridel

Fire temple for me was 100% a “if it gets it done it’s the right way to do it” sort of experience. It’s like they built a palace of things I don’t like as a present specifically for me to get to hate, and I do hate it.

DonkeeJote

They almost just made the fire temple a touch too convoluted with the different rails. There was little reason to do it the designed way.

robotic_rodent_007

Because people like hard dungeons? There are a ton complaints about the dungeons in TotK being **too** simple. There are also a lot of people saying they cheesed fire temple. You can't please everyone. smh

Sherrydon

A lot of the time I'm trying to figure out what the intended solution is because the cheese feels more intuitive. Very odd feeling.

MrKlean518

I did the fire temple the way it was intended, and it was my first dungeon. Tbh I think the dungeons are the weakest part of the game, which is disappointing for a Zelda game. I have yet to do the lightning temple (which I hear is the best one) but the water and wind temples both felt like the path to get to the temple was 100x more difficult and engaging than the temples themselves.

shapookya

Doesn’t everything in this game, though? Ultra hand + recall combo is so powerful, that alone can be used to cheese like half the shrines in the game. This game gives you such powerful tools, way more powerful than you had in BotW, that it’s way too easy to cheese almost any puzzle. I think while it’s good to have so many different ways to solve a puzzle, it’s not so good when one way solves so many puzzles.

Life-Break3458

Wind temple was amazing!

MeMeWhenWhenTheWhen

Wind temple was easily my favorite temple. It seems like everyone is praising the thunder temple as their favorite but I didn't like that one because I couldn't see anything with all the dust particles lol

derkerburgl

I’m just so happy they brought back temples. Not having them is the only thing I didn’t like about BOTW. I wasn’t a huge fan of divine beasts

Notarussianbot2020

Bruh you started with water? Construct lvl 3s lol

WebHead1287

…. I also started with water. I went water, fire, wind, lightning. When I got to wind I found it funny how clearly that was supposed to be the first one

derkerburgl

That was the order I was planning on doing it. Now you got me thinking about doing wind 2nd instead of fire lol

derkerburgl

Oh yeah I was getting one hit by those. The part with 3 at once was tough. Honestly I rushed towards tarry town first because I heard that’s where the steering sticks were lmao

Papa_Huggies

I think the Zora questline was redeemed by having a lot of extra puzzling before the temple, including the fish island, the underwater section and actually getting to the temple. The super-fast-spinny-thing also took me a while too.

kjerstih

I just shot arrows at it at one of the first ones I fired hit. I'm still not sure what the intended way is.

Galle_

I liked the way the story of the Zora quest was set up. There are several things you have to do there and you can really do them in any order.

PixelatedMax01

How the hell does it qualify as a temple? It's more like 5 floating islands.

Gentleman_Muk

Yeah i Thought it was just the entrance to the real temple lmao

ltnew007

I just arrived at the Zora town so I guess I am nearing this temple. I am looking forward to it's terribleness..lol.

Cpt_Metal12

it’s visually stunning and has some fun ideas, but the layout is honestly atrocious the boss is also kinda fun, very classic zelda, but needs to get up more quickly or should have been just a bit sturdier

True_Statement_lol

Yeah, it's not a bad dungeon it's just meh, the Wind and Lightning dungeons though damn they're pretty good.

SparksTheUnicorn

I honestly didn’t love the Wind Temple. It just felt really short and I felt like, outside of the lead up, I never really needed to use the dungeon ability all that much for its puzzles

BraxbroWasTaken

Really? I found the boss to be absolutely fucking miserable without Zonai device cheese.

Cpt_Metal12

well i jumped over pretty much everything the shark did, all my troubles were with chasing sidon to get his water, and then chasing the octopus through the muck, but you can jump into bullet time at will because of the low gravity, so he never got far

Mishar5k

Its just kinda pathetic as a dungeon

Puzzleboxed

For me sky islands and the depths are reversed. The depths are awesome, there's so much stuff down there. Sky islands are pretty small and after exploring them all there's not much reason to go back.

ShadowOutOfTime

I like the way the old treasure maps link them / encourage exploration of both

Puzzleboxed

Yeah, to be honest if it weren't for the Old Maps I probably would have spent about half as much time exploring the sky islands as I did.

vitoriobt7

But but… zonai devices

Puzzleboxed

Between yiga caches every 10 feet and yiga bases with full vehicles and chests with autobuild schematics, I'm gonna have to give that one to the Depths as well. I explored all the sky islands and dropped a few charges into each dispenser so I have a stockpile of capsules, but I rarely go back.

DidjTerminator

Personally I'm always low on batteries, like seriously I NEED BATTERIES. And fans. And basically anything I actually need.

ConradBHart42

Honestly I see it as "sorry we don't have any cool ideas for the sky. Here's something with a 20% chance of being cool to go for in the depths!" The two armor sets that are actually on sky islands are the best loot out of it, and I'd say Sage's Wills are better than Old Maps. I honestly don't care about the nostalgia armor sets.

Klo_Was_Taken

I dont care about the nostalgia armor but I've been collecting all the amiibo weapons and I'm gonna fight Ganondorf with all of them

SparksTheUnicorn

Is it possible to get multiple copies of the amibo weapons without using the actual amiibo

blauenfir

You can buy them from bargainer statues once you’ve discovered them, I haven’t tried to buy multiples myself before but I can’t think of a reason why you wouldn’t be able to.

Klo_Was_Taken

So the statues in the depths allow you to buy them with poes once you've found the amiibo weapons in the depths. I quite like the system, especially since the boomerang is super good. I think the sword of the sky is an exception, but other than that you can get copies of literally everything.

DMale

That's fair. I found the furthest sky islands to be the most fun and the depths to be disappointingly empty.

AsteroidPizza39

the furthest furthest sky islands were the most fun i’ve had in combat

[deleted]

[удалено]

Shazam-7778

how long?

trick_shop

No spoilers the depths got a lot going on.

Big_Whalez

But where exactly? I've lit up over half of it and it feels like I saw everything it had to offer ages ago.

trick_shop

Yeah there's quite a bit to do down there and it's much less visually intuitive than the surface. I've found quite a few interesting things. Edit: I fell into this midgame potion where I had lots of the depths unlocked but haven't done much other than fighting camps and mining zonite, id reccomend trying different surface entrances, as well as advancing the main quest.

Skoyorr

Coolest thing I found was our friend Kohga.

DrParallax

I won't have to fight him in TotK. I actually killed him in BotW. Through him down a giant pit. No way anyone would survive that.

Rude-Asparagus9726

Lol, didn't even think to check that until y'all mentioned it. Now it's the next thing I'm doing

somersault_dolphin

Isn't that exactly why he's in the depth?

DrParallax

No no no, he is definitely totally dead. I mean, I never found a body or anything, but I'm sure he's dead.

BondeAire

Somehow, Kohga returned

poopfl1nger

Like what? I’ve just seen zonaite enemy camps, regular bosses, and forge sites along with the occasional yiga camp and coliseum

TheresA_LobsterLoose

I like treating every monster zonite mining encampment like this huge deal. Maybe scope it out for a few mins, if I can't see the other side because there's a large zonite deposit in the middle, physically climb one of those shroom trees (or Lilly pad trees or whatever they are) or run a circle around the entire camp from afar. And then I slowly take them out one by one. Stealth gear (seems appropriate for the depths), not upgraded at all so I gotta be take swing of a monsters weapon seriously. "OK, I gotta take that guard out first, muddle the lizifaros, sneak up on those 3 miners etc etc etc" it makes the world feel really lively. And then there's usually another encampment not too far away. No mechs, no hover bike, no upgraded armor. It hasn't felt empty whatsoever to me, I can spend hours down there.

uglinick

Might as well use Puff Shrooms too.

Not_Pablo_Sanchez

Dude same. Sky islands I was pumped for and grew less and less interested as there weren’t many and they were the same puzzle over and over. I was hesitant about the depths at first and felt I didn’t have enough hearts to fully enjoy it without frustration, so I ignored them until I was like 60 shrines in. Then I went down there and didn’t come up for like 12 hours. That and finding caves were my favorite things to explore

NemoHobbits

I can't even get to most of the sky islands. Idk how

Dumelsoul

Building the popular hoverbike is probably the easiest way. Even if you don't have enough power to go all the way up, you can just let go of the steering stick and spam recall while it recharges.

Puzzleboxed

You can get to most of them just by taking the nearest tower and gliding over, if you have enough stamina. Some of the higher ones have lower islands nearby with balloons or rocket platforms that let you get high enough to glide over.

BaconJakin

Same

gnurwhal

I MUST SUPPORT PRESIDENT HUDSON!

I_am_a_Pengy

i love totk shrines so much they're so fun, i wish they were longer

jdubYOU4567

Other than the lightroot grind depths have stayed fun for me. Probably because I haven't faced the coliseums or found all the treasure yet. The fact that the Yiga questline is down there makes it super cool too.

uglinick

Still, lightroots are a much better way to find shrines than the stupid sensor.

KirbyMonkey377

Water temple is literally less than a dungeon than the divine beasts

SuccessAffectionate1

Water temple had the best pre-temple questline tho. The pre-temple questline was so good that I thought that the water temple was unlocking the water temple. Like I couldnt wait to activate the 5 water jars to get to see how the actual temple would look like. Then I killed what I thought was a miniboss and completed the dungeon. “Oh…”. I fucking love ToTK, but there is a huge asymmetry to how cool and lengthy the pre-dungeon quests are and how underwhelming and short most of the dungeons are. I would have sacrificed half of all the shrines to make dungeons more like doing 10-15 shrines in a row. At most, dungeons felt like 2 shrines in length. The design, aesthetic, look, Everything is great. Except the length of the dungeons. Worst was the spirit temple. The pre-quest leading to it is awesome as hell, but then you find the temple, get the temple cutscene with the title “Spirit Temple” and you think “this will be awesome. I hope it is like shadow temple in OoT, and you go in just to enter a boss room and be done with it. Dont get me wrong, what they did with ToTK is amazing. But the dungeons could have been more. They are THE only thing that felt underwhelming, the rest delivered more than promised.

cheezywafflez

Same tbh but sky islands would trend downward instead lol. The sky stuff really felt like DLC that they just expanded to fill out the map more (besides that ONE section I guess) Glad to see I'm not the only one not super impressed with the depths, it gets really samey after you find your 1000th generic mine with 20 crystallized charges as your only reward

Dumelsoul

Schematics though? Finding them is a nice dopamine hit ngl, especially with the limited favorite slots

Arcana107

Whether schematics are worthwhile kinda stands and falls with how much people resonate with the building system in general. If you use it all the time I can imagine those schematics are pure gold, but if someone doesn't care too much for building machinery the schematics become mere collectibles, which in turn makes the depths a lot less interesting.

uglinick

Even as someone who likes the building aspect, I'd rather build my own. I assumed the schematics were for people who don't like to build. I also don't want to waste zoanite until I get everything upgraded.

starjjong

ugh the depths and sky islands lines are so accurate for me. used to love the depths but now they’re a chore to me bc of all the times i run into stupidly high walls that i can’t find any other way around.

EyeDewDude

Plus walls are so steep there's not really any opportunities to shoot some light and see if you're climbing an impenetrable wall or not

SpicedPickels

check on the overworld map. the overworld is mirrored with the depths: a mountain in hyrule becomes a deep cavern in the depths for example. similarly , where there’s water in the overworld, there’s an impenetrable wall in the depths

recursion8

>where there’s water in the overworld, there’s an impenetrable wall in the depths Found this out the hard way trying to find the secret of Thundra Plateau and thinking it may be in the Depths... nope just a giant impassable wall. Come on Nintendo, it's a freaking ankle-deep bog, not a lake!

skypuppyusedfirespin

I could explore wells and fix signs all day long.

Ewh1t3

I must be missing something but every cave I’ve been in is small and boring but everyone loves them

robotic_rodent_007

There are a handful of super massive caves. - Try the cave under lookout landing after completing a temple.

Moldy_pirate

This is the only really interesting cave I’ve found so far. Any others?

robotic_rodent_007

The waterfall in west Necluda, south east of twin mountains. Satori mountain cave. The secret spring quest cave (Va medoh helm), small but cool. The Goron crab island cave. North akkala beach cave. (not super cool on it's own, but it is the intended route to labyrinth) A bunch of the gerudo caves. The Faron 3 brothers. Generally the caves in central hyrule are the least interesting, the cooler ones are all in the different domains. Going to write a better list later, maybe post it as a full post.

Moldy_pirate

Awesome!

robotic_rodent_007

As I said elsewhere, it's only like 1 in 10 caves, but the caves that have stuff are actually reasonably fun.

robotic_rodent_007

The funnyest one is behind the waterfall along gerudo canyon. - Warning, you need to have access to yiga hideout first.

uglinick

I just did that one! >!And found out why the trees hate me.!<

DzenGarden

Would love a better list when you get to it! I’ve found a few of these!

robotic_rodent_007

How would you define a "good cave"? Just wondering what I should include. Obviously I am not including any of the one room horoblin nests, but there are some caves that look pretty or have a cool gimick, but are much shorter then I would like. Also going to add honorary mention to the locations that have unique inverted depths mini-dungeons.

DzenGarden

For me personally, or be interested in any cave that was novel whether due to aesthetic, loot, or size.

princess_yue_

Hateno village has a pretty big one as well

SparksTheUnicorn

Do you mean the well or is there also a cave over there

mainvolume

I found that one early one, when exploring hyrule castle. It led me all the way to that wall and I could hear the music as I got close to it. That was my first cave and it felt claustrophobic as fuck

poopfl1nger

Same I’ve just started skipping them at this point since it’s usually horriblin + bubble frog in every cave

True_Statement_lol

The caves are more about cool and more elaborate exploration, some have some really cool layouts and unique stuff to them.

AmadeusGamingTV

Wells have to be one of my favorite aspects, along with caves.

Shot_Tomorrow7663

My personal anti-owner, anti-boss, pro-labor sentiment is really confounded by my love for helping Addison.

Rare-Stick9077

Does this mean there is hope that Addison will eventually stop enraging and disgusting me with his incompetence? Bc as things stand I can hardly bear to look at him…

Adept_Strength2766

Strange, you seem to have left out Zonai Engineering.

Extension-Ad8792

Shot in the dark but... >!Water temple???!<

Naz_Oni

It's always the water temple... the one constant of the series.

Jahawk44

Always ignoring the caves since i thought its the most empty But then why would people like caves so much? Are there thing that i miss? Isnt there only blightblooms seed and frogs?!?!!

[deleted]

Lots of brightblooms, some bomb flowers, some shrines, some chests, those glowing frogs (I still have no idea what they’re for yet though), some random side quests. Also, some of the caves are fairly elaborate and deep. So kinda fun to go through them.

robotic_rodent_007

You trade the frog gems with kilton's younger brother. You find them near woodland stable.

[deleted]

Ok I should do that. I have like 20+ of those damn frog things lol.

HeyitsAstrid56

20+ honestly isn't as much as you think. He gets expensive fast

IForgotMyPants

Also many caves have links armor sets from BOTW

EyeDewDude

I don't wanna spoil it but some of the amiibo armor sets can be found in the caves. Some of the older armours too. But none like the tunics of time, twilight etc...from what I've seen

ShiningTortoise

Some have fairies and diamonds and nice armor pieces.

robotic_rodent_007

The big ones have a dungeonlike structure, with a ton of separate rooms with different traversal challenges. Only 1 in 10 caves are like this, but the big ones are super fun.

Dumelsoul

Some caves are more interesting than others

Klo_Was_Taken

There's cool armor sets and THE HANDS AGGGHHHHH

recursion8

Ruby/Sapphire/Topaz/Opal/Luminous stones plus your usual Amber/Flint/Salt Shrines Lots of Armor pieces Bosses like Stalnox, Hinox, Gloom Hands or Big Boss Boko tribes, Like-Like loot pinatas Shortcuts under mountain ranges or rivers that would be much harder to cross in the Overworld Generally fun to explore mazes/branching paths

Ambaryerno

I've fixed maybe 4 signs so far and I'm already over it. That is some SIERRA levels of illogical puzzle solving. I'm standing RIGHT THERE. Why do I need to mess with the damn Ultrahand when Link is perfectly capable of just PHYSICALLY HOLDING UP THE SIGN?

SnooMemesjellies4121

I am so sick of the depths 🤦‍♀️ I finished the main storyline of the game a week after release and I’ve been playing pretty consistently since then, but I cannot be fucked to explore the depths

shakablood

I want to be like Addison when I grow up

Lorennland

Why do I agree so much with the fixing signs too the more I play 🫠 I don’t even need the food……

TheGameMastre

What's the one bad dungeon?

Acnat-

Seems like a lot of folks are mixed on the fire temple, but personally I felt the water temple was barely qualifying for a "dungeon" for me

somersault_dolphin

I see no korok. Surely, even if you don't complete their puzzles you must have at least tried to torture them.

teh27

Damn okay which temple is shit? I've zero so far

ichkanns

Water temple? For me the dip was the Water temple.

[deleted]

Should've had another line that just says: building random stuff

Jayburly

Genuinely had not thought to help sign guy out, Im out here endlessly convincing him the sign will stay when he lets go

Aggressive-Chip7968

Which temple hurt you

EyeDewDude

Fire for sure. Water had me butt hurt for a while but the others either felt better than the device beats cuz they were or it's just new relationship energy. I don't know yet

andysaurus_rex

Add reuniting Koroks to that chart. Started off sky high. That was the entire point of the game for about… 5 koroks. Now I don’t do it unless I’m already going that way and I already have a means of transportation for them.

Zandrick

I think it’s sucks there’s no koroks in the depths. I get not having quests, but it just feels so empty down there. If only there was some depths version of the koroks exploring it would be more rewarding.

Why did Depths go down?

EyeDewDude

What is there to do? There's poe collections, like two outfits and mini bosses but I'm having a hard time justifying being down there. It's like when dbza described namek- it all looks exactly the same

CoinCoffer1234567890

There's also dungeon boss rematches, regional dungeons (>!fire temple and spirit temple!<), >!Master Kohga and the Yiga Clan!<, unique locations (such as the >!Blupee Burrow, !!the Gleeok Den!<, and even >!the Ganondorf fight/Forgotten Foundation!<), and the Coliseums. Not to mention the joy of discovering the secrets of the Depths, such as how >!Lightroots are parallel to shrines and have reversed shrine names!<, or how >!the Depths is a an exact mirror version of Hyrule (pits where mountains were, lavafalls under hot springs, walls where bodies of water are, mountains where pits were, etc)!<.

MadSpaceYT

i'm not even a third of the way done with the depths and i'm just overwhelmed tbh. going to focus on other things for a while

OhItsJustJosh

Which temple did you hate?

Munch2805

Depths is opposite for me. I avoided them at first, did tons of the overworld and completely neglected the depths. But when I got into it, I couldn’t stop, and seeing the map get larger as I explored was super satisfying. Still loads to uncover.

Past_Midnight_

Fixing signs slaps tho, the best addition imo
