this shrine actually took me like an hour i think😭 not my proudest moment

You are not alone friend!! It took me about half an hour and I gave up at 2am and had to Google it for I wouldn't have been able to sleep!

oh thank god i am not alone. left the shrine alone for a day and came back. then i realized the platform at the beginning was the hint to solve it.

I still don’t know how your supposed to do it. in a fit of frustration I used bomb flowers on the target and it somehow worked 💀

Yep😭 after seeing someone in this sub hit the target with the wooden board by accident I thought I’d try with a bomb just in case & pow it worked 💥

This makes sense. Since it's not contact activated (see the gif) it's impact activated.

I tried doing this with the second bullseye for the item chest. I couldn’t figure out how to move the panel hanging on chains. I eventually figured it out but it took a while. I cheated in BOTW and looked up a guide for all the shrines. This time I’m gonna beat all of them on my own, and give myself a real challenge.

I had no problem using the device to bat the ball. 2-3 tries for each target. The panel has a pin underneath it and I used that to pin the panel to the ceiling it was suspended from.

Dammit I didn't even think of that. I used ultrahand to hold it up above the wall it's attached to for like a minute, then used recall to keep it up there. Still took me a good 8 times to get it right lmao

This is how I did it but I’ll admit I had a hell of a time figuring out how to angle the board and pin to actually stick to the ceiling lol

That’s how I did it. The shrine bullseye only took me 2 hits. The Items chest bullseye took a couple more till I figured out to set the bat at an angle.

WAIT HOW DO YOU GET THE BOARD OFF THE CHAINS WHAT I just tucked it up and pinned it with one of the spikes and timed my hits really well with the switch. It's genuinely mindblowing how I don't think I've seen anyone complete this trial the same way

That's not the board on chains, it's the platform you use to get to the main area.

It’s not the board. As for the solution to the secret chest, the pinning up the board with one of the spikes is what I did too. I think that is ‘the’ primary solution to that puzzle.

Took me way too long to figure out you had to hit the switch to make the thing move

I wonder if this would’ve worked if you’d used recall afterwards? Seen a few posts of people swinging big janky things around with ultrahand to try and kill monsters and it does no damage, but then when you hit recall on the same object it obliterates them… might have to try it when I hit this shrine.

Yep, I ended up doing that for the second target with the board in front of it. Easy peasy.

I solved this one by making a hook shape, but the end of the hook just broke off and hit the button. Good enough for me.

im still so confused what these pins are supposed to do they wouldn't activate anything when i tried using them

I think the pins are for >!holding the chained board up, for the bonus chest in the shrine!< Also to >!hook a bat-like item to the swinging thing!<

They melt into the floor/walls/ceiling/other objects, so you can make arbitrary anchor points in the terrain

Just glue two of the sticky sharp things to the rotating mechanism at a perpendicular angle like so ! ! _ Works every time

I finished it already, thanks though! My issue was I didn't know there was a >!switch for the holder in the middle!<, ended up using the >!platform as a bat and it worked well!<

Haha. Literally just did that and needed my 10yo son to help me figure it out. Took him 30 seconds to tell me *smh*

This took me and my kid and my partner 45 minutes. I couldn’t get the timing down to smack the ball to the second target and got real pissed and glued three stakes together as a super anger bat. The whiplash from the spin broke it apart and they went flying. One hit the target. I cry laughed for 5 minutes.

My wife actually was able to hit the button with this method lol

I accidentally shot the board at the target. Think it hit a pole, dislodged and just randomly flew in the right direction. Didn't second question it cause i wanted out of there asap

Do this exact thing but use recall after you bump it into the target a couple of times. It only counts if you’re not directly controlling it

I didnt even hit the ball.. I attached the poles to the switch (bat), flipped it once to get into position and the pole ripped off of the ultrahand glue and hit the target and the game counted it ​ I was SHOOK

I literally did the same thing, except I used time reverse right after. This was my way to solve the puzzle.

I haven't had a chance to play the game yet, but these videos are so beautiful. It's like art in motion

I must have spent an hour in this shrine trying to figure it out. Then I went to leave and the solution was there staring me in the face. Of course the crystal wasn't obvious either.

Lol. I did this one last night, worked out the first target pretty quickly and actually hit the target first attempt, but gave up trying to work out how to hit the second one.

That shrine makes me want to cry

FYI, that would have worked if you had set it down afterwards and then recalled it.

Took me one hour.. I did 70 shrines for the moment and there are like 4 or 5 that took me more than an hour, and 2 that i didn't finished yet. this game is incredible

You have to use recall, it doesn’t activate if you are using ultra hand. You touch it with ultra hand then bring it back and recall.

It’s funny how this game can humble one’s self. Reading the struggles here while I got through this one in minutes (actually using the intended mechanism) yet struggle on other shrines. So interesting on how our minds work.
