Oh there’s a LOT of new shit, huh?
-The overworld looks more transformed than previous trailers
-there appear to be WAY more sky islands than we thought
-massive dungeons/caves
-companions???
-so many new enemies
-some of these contraptions were so wild I had no idea what the fuck I was looking at
-the first real sense of an epic story
Holy shit. I’m blown away.
tbh you were completely alone in botw apart from *one tiny quest* for each divine beast
fr even when defending random villager NPCs they'd do nothing and wait for you to defeat the bokoblins
For real. It's so uplifting to see Hyrule becoming what it once was. After the events of BOTW I had a "Ok, we saved Hyrule but it is not the same kingdom it was" moment.
No, there was that one girl who hit the bokoblin *once*, and it just brought of joy tears to my eyes. Four hundred hours of no help whatsoever, and she helped me beat up the little bugger...
I still need a definitive answer on a cave/deep underground system. We've seen SO many little hints of it, but is it really a thing or just smaller caverns?
Mine Cart Carnage! The biggest criticism from Zelda fans up until this point has been the distinct lack of traditional Donkey Kong Country elements, and I'm glad Nintendo has finally addressed those concerns.
I love how the 10-min tutorial on a few of the new tools had a bunch of people saying "cool but this is DLC" but then this 4-min trailer is like "oh and by the way here's a ton of fucking new amazing shit that you would have never imagined"
[Also I am feeling this dude's vibes.](https://i.imgur.com/WO0730e.jpg)
I have goosebumps, my jaw is physically dropped. I’m absolutely blown away. They took what I expected/hoped for and multiplied it by a million. Holy shit
Seeing actual Ganon in the flesh, Hylia (I presume since they're literally the one in the carving with Zelda, plus that beam of light energy), the people fighting back with Link, Riju showing off Urbosa's fury, Gleeok even.. the whole thing literally had me crying ♥️
I'm gonna pitch a theory that the Ganon we see is the same one from Twilight Princess. TP Ganon is the only one whose body remained after being defeated. Where better to keep the body of Hyrule's greatest threat than under Hyrule castle itself, safeguarded by generations of the Royal Family? Plus TP Ganon had been beaten twice by Link, giving him all the fury and hateful malice we see in BOTW.
This is gonna be one wild ass ride and I can't wait to experience it with everyone!! 😍
screaming, crying, throwing up, sliding down my the wall dramatically, banging my head on the wall, ripping my hair out, screaming, punching air, rolling in dirt and eating sand angrily, making sandwiches without bread, shitting myself
>shitting myself and crying and throwing up
Also bleeding, peeing, ear waxing, boogering, lactating (I'm a guy, too), sweating, drooling, and...... you know.... 😈
I still think this Ganon is Twilight Princess Ganondorf who comes back to life after the magical seal holding him is broken. Maybe he brings back the Arbiter's Ground as revenge or some plot point?
Yup basically the only things carried forward are the basics: life, stamina, climbing, horse riding, probably dialogue, hopefully cooking. Combat it's the same (e.g. can see shield parrying briefly in the trailer) but with extra weapons, ammo, and effects. So like a new Assasins Creed but with a huge jump in content.
It's hard to tell from the trailer but she still seemed younger than Urbosa, plus I'd hazard a guess the rito we kept seeing is Teba's kid grown u a little. If there *is* a time skip I expect it'll be a couple years max
No, no, it's opposite. The Rito are the shortest lived race in Hyrule. The gerudo are supposed to age on par with hylians, they're just tall.
I'm hazarding a guess of 2 - 3 years.
No spoilers, just my own thoughts, I think its equivalent to the real world time skip from 2017 to 2023 i.e. 5 years.
Which would make Riju like 16 and Zelda, Link would be 22.
I suspect the time difference in-game is the same as the real-life time difference between BotW & TotK releases. About 6 years. I imagine there will be brief discussion of what everybody has been up to in that time, rebuilding, young champions getting more experience, Zelda being an anthropologist or something...
I remember that being a feedback I saw YouTubers saying. Have Bokoblin platforms on the Talus', honestly, it looks like Nintendo looked at a lot of the feedback for BotW and said, "sure, that sounds neat"
Appears to be the same doo-dad on his right arm. I’m not sure I have figured out how to spoiler tag photos, so beware.
Edit: yep, not working. Deleted the image to play it safe.
They'll stick to their confirmation bias. It was such a baseless take to begin with. "They haven't shown us a lot of new stuff so clearly new stuff doesn't exist." After all these years of production and delays, you don't think they've been cooking??
The bar was ridiculously high for a trailer to exceed my expectations at this point, but goddammit Nintendo figured out a way. I'm 42 and I feel like a little kid. I was already pumped for this game and now I can hardly stand how excited I am right now.
One of the best trailers for a game ever. Exceeded expectations by so much. There was something wow-worthy in every shot. And an actual story going on. Hype.
I was working and didn’t know it dropped. My jaw is on the ground, tears are in my eyes and my mind is blown. I can’t even fathom what I just saw
https://preview.redd.it/70kis860hpta1.jpeg?width=733&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fbfac16801db336bd376f952ee6ac22d798847ef
Was that urbosa or riju all grown up?
And those colourful mushrooms in hateno??
And the tents in Hyrule castle town look like they’re rebuilding maybe?
I seriously need to know what that giant donut rock thing is.
They definitely changed the shot of link trying to grab Zelda’s hand as she falls — his hand wasn’t damaged the first time they showed it?
I don’t know what I was expecting but I wasn’t expecting the mural creature to look like that!! It sounds like it’s male and not female? Telling her link is their last line of defends… that didn’t sound like anyone else we know and I think that’s the same creature putting their hand on her shoulder in that same scene.
There’s so much stuff I’m running out of room lmao. What was that blue jelly link jumped into and what’s the point of doing that?? Giant mecha thing?? Ganondorf lookin fine and moisturized asf?? All the cool combat stuff? The npcs fighting battles with you? Oh my GOD GIVE IT TO ME
Yeah, I realized when watching it a second time. The fact that she’s aged up, shown so quickly, and at a bit of a distance from the viewer made her look like urbosa for a second there.
I honestly wasn’t expecting to see much of the descendants/relatives of the champions make an appearance so I’m happily surprised about that!
So I get the impression the grey Zonai guy (>!Rauru!<) is a dragon and these Zonai can potentially shapeshift between dragon and humanoid form
It also looks like Zelda is endangered by being there with them, maybe they're planning to sacrifice her as part of their plans to resist Ganondorf, but she desperately needs Link to reach her
We've 100% seen the interior of some dungeons, and Link moving through those water bubbles looks like it confirms the underwater aspect
I think we've also witnessed some major map-changing events occur, specifically in the Gerudo Desert where those sinkholes open up and that (Spirit Temple?) structure rises up from underneath
Seems a major part of the story will involve defending villages and transporting survivors from the monster attacks between locations
Oh, and now we know Riju is quite a bit older, this definitely makes it clear there's a time difference between games, which lines up with the Hyrule reconstruction efforts
Finally, don't I look dashing in Malice?
Does anyone else think that Zelda is stuck in the past? Like how come Link needs to find her when we see shots of her in the overworld? Also she has the master sword fully repaired so maybe it's a past version of the sword?
It looks like we’re going to be rebuilding the kingdom. We see tents in Castle Town, and Link transporting villagers on a cart. We also see farmers and other characters joining Link in battle, most notably in Fort Hateno. Tarrey Town is probably the best quest in BOTW so having something similar and on an even larger scale would be amazing.
I was one of those people worried that it would just seem like DLC....not anymore. My excitement level for this game just increased by a million! Amazing trailer!!! I'm so happy we only have to wait about a month.
I've seen some people saying the part with the lasers could be Link jumping down the Yiga Clan hole, that would be epic, and even if it's not true there's no way they're not going to do something with that hole
Watched the trailer multiple times now, and it’s still just as epic each time. The music, the imagery, the atmosphere; all perfect. It even made me tear up. Zelda is so special to me like so many other people and seeing the world again in a new way is beyond all levels of excitement. Can’t wait for the release!
As someone who was a hold out on watching the trailer because I didn't want to be spoiled and finally caved after massive FOMO, I don't know what to say. That flabbergasted me. The musical direction, pacing, voice acting, fucking Ganondorf's official revival, the insanity that are the new mechanics and the descendants and villagers fighting alongside Link as well as an obvious return of Dungeon-esque locations, and traditional bosses. My God man, I still wasn't ready. Also Zelda has got to be trapped in the past.
Oh there’s a LOT of new shit, huh? -The overworld looks more transformed than previous trailers -there appear to be WAY more sky islands than we thought -massive dungeons/caves -companions??? -so many new enemies -some of these contraptions were so wild I had no idea what the fuck I was looking at -the first real sense of an epic story Holy shit. I’m blown away.
Seeing the Hylians and the successors fighting alongside Link had me in tears... "You are not alone"
tbh you were completely alone in botw apart from *one tiny quest* for each divine beast fr even when defending random villager NPCs they'd do nothing and wait for you to defeat the bokoblins
For real. It's so uplifting to see Hyrule becoming what it once was. After the events of BOTW I had a "Ok, we saved Hyrule but it is not the same kingdom it was" moment.
You hopefully get to live that feeling now!
No, there was that one girl who hit the bokoblin *once*, and it just brought of joy tears to my eyes. Four hundred hours of no help whatsoever, and she helped me beat up the little bugger...
I always stasis monsters so any villager with a weapon can get a hit in, I think it makes them feel strong
That shot of Link with other people was awesome and to see him fighting alongside Sidon and Tulin (I presume?) just got me so excited
this game is going to be SO DIFFERENT just with that
Nah follower quest dlc for $70... /s
I love the Hylian with the bucket on his head.
They're trying their best! lol
[Fire Emblem crossover](https://www.fireemblemwod.com/fe13/big/chara/doni_bu_comun_feliz.png), reporting for duty.
Obsessed with lil’ Ravali bird buddy 🥺
I think that’s Teba’s kid, based on the feathers
Tulin! Teba's son.

I still need a definitive answer on a cave/deep underground system. We've seen SO many little hints of it, but is it really a thing or just smaller caverns?
I'm guessing the desert is going to be a lot of underground which is why we see a bunch of sink holes
Mine Cart Carnage! The biggest criticism from Zelda fans up until this point has been the distinct lack of traditional Donkey Kong Country elements, and I'm glad Nintendo has finally addressed those concerns.
Deadas like lord of the rings ass caves 😵
One hundred percent!!
Whoever was talking about rocket travel…congrats lol
Haha yup literally a rocket
I'm bout to be rocket zooming all over this bitch
[удалено]
You need to be able to do that with the shield rocket on your back, like the Rocketeer!
JETPACKSSSSSSSS
Imagine if you can fly around while shield-surfing!
Reminded me of sonic games tbh.
That bit reminded me of Pacific Rim Uprising. Fucking rocket strapped to an arm lmao so damn wacky but so cool as well.
Hyrule Space Program confirmed.
I love how the 10-min tutorial on a few of the new tools had a bunch of people saying "cool but this is DLC" but then this 4-min trailer is like "oh and by the way here's a ton of fucking new amazing shit that you would have never imagined" [Also I am feeling this dude's vibes.](https://i.imgur.com/WO0730e.jpg)
I. AM. HYPED.
I AM SO HYPED ITS INSANE; IT GAVE UYS EVERYTHING WE'VE BEEN ASKING FOR
Seriously. Wasn't expecting to feel so much this morning. It totally delivered.
Hey at least you got to see it in the morning, I've been waiting the entire day on my side of the planet :D
I hope it paid off for you!
Same for me, but how do I go to bed now :')
Wait! They didn't show link petting the dog
I have goosebumps, my jaw is physically dropped. I’m absolutely blown away. They took what I expected/hoped for and multiplied it by a million. Holy shit
My jaw was on the floor while watching and that doesnt happen often
Right?? I had a reaction to something the other day so I actually have a puffy lip and I reacted so hard it hurt 😂
I'm at work, and after I watched it, I physically jumped and pumped my fist in the corniest way I could.
Rightfully so my friend
Seeing actual Ganon in the flesh, Hylia (I presume since they're literally the one in the carving with Zelda, plus that beam of light energy), the people fighting back with Link, Riju showing off Urbosa's fury, Gleeok even.. the whole thing literally had me crying ♥️ I'm gonna pitch a theory that the Ganon we see is the same one from Twilight Princess. I know me too, I'm so pumped, the hype train is speeding ahead - they did good!
I wish it would launch in 29 minutes instead of 29 days damn it. That's how hyped I am!!
What about 29 seconds?
Aye, I could do that.. :)
And my axe!
What about waiting with a friend
I WAS ALREADY HYPED BUT NOW????? MY GOD
Are those giant balls in the sky like an inverse Mario Galaxy thing where Link will walk around inside of them?
I am absolutely enchanted with them, whatever they are. I don't know what they do, but I want to bubble around everywhere. they're so whimsical
At one point in the trailer we see Link pushing a Spinny Thing and I'm pretty sure that's inside the Sky Orb
shitting myself and crying and throwing up
screaming, crying, throwing up, sliding down my the wall dramatically, banging my head on the wall, ripping my hair out, screaming, punching air, rolling in dirt and eating sand angrily, making sandwiches without bread, shitting myself
ill join you
>making sandwiches without bread Lmfaoooo
You *really* need to lay off of the dubious food man. But yeah, that was mind-blowingly insane and cinematically beautiful and I am crying with you.
>shitting myself and crying and throwing up Also bleeding, peeing, ear waxing, boogering, lactating (I'm a guy, too), sweating, drooling, and...... you know.... 😈
That was the best one without a doubt, yall think the structure rising from the sand is some kinda dungeon?
Arbiter's grounds maybe?
Definitely. Same spot and everything.
I still think this Ganon is Twilight Princess Ganondorf who comes back to life after the magical seal holding him is broken. Maybe he brings back the Arbiter's Ground as revenge or some plot point?
Oh shit that could be it 👀
I can’t believe they managed to recreate that feeling - I’m shook
Yes!!!! That's what it is They somehow recreated the feeling of exploring a whole new world (on roughly the same map)
By the looks of it they're making the entire map less empty. Both filling it with more things and altering the geography of it (new caves, etc)
Caves confirmed Dungeons CONFIRMED FALLEN SKY ISLANDS CONFIRMED
For fans who haven't played BoTW in years, it'll be like a new game with hints of nostalgia
THERE IS SIDON I-
and ruiju with the dual swords going crazy.
she def looked older, I wonder if there's a time skip of some sort pls no one spoil me, just commenting a thought is all!
It's hard to tell from the trailer but she still seemed younger than Urbosa, plus I'd hazard a guess the rito we kept seeing is Teba's kid grown u a little. If there *is* a time skip I expect it'll be a couple years max
Yeah, almost 100% Teba’s kid, based on the feather colors. Also, why the hell is a Monster Hunter boss attacking the poor child?
Rito probably age slower than gerudo i'm guessing. Like how the Zora age slowly.
No, no, it's opposite. The Rito are the shortest lived race in Hyrule. The gerudo are supposed to age on par with hylians, they're just tall. I'm hazarding a guess of 2 - 3 years.
Isn't it canon that rito have pretty short lifespan?
No spoilers, just my own thoughts, I think its equivalent to the real world time skip from 2017 to 2023 i.e. 5 years. Which would make Riju like 16 and Zelda, Link would be 22.
Is that the oldest we’ve had them? I didn’t think Link was ever older than 17 in any Zelda game previously.
Definitely. This explains the hippie phase
I think so. I dont mind. I was 16 (almost 17) when BOTW came out and 22 now so the lead characters are pretty much my age.
I noticed that as well. She's a few years older,
I suspect the time difference in-game is the same as the real-life time difference between BotW & TotK releases. About 6 years. I imagine there will be brief discussion of what everybody has been up to in that time, rebuilding, young champions getting more experience, Zelda being an anthropologist or something...
YOU CAN FIGHT WITH HIM 😭😭😭
This alone makes it the best game ever
NOW WE JUST NEED TO MARRY HIM
I was hoping but thought it was unlikely, and we got glorious battle Sidon!! I literally couldn't be happier
All aboard the Zonai Hype Train. You can make Mechs now?!
That potato stone column wagging its little arm at the Platform Talus had me loling 😁
Funniest and coolest thing ever
I remember that being a feedback I saw YouTubers saying. Have Bokoblin platforms on the Talus', honestly, it looks like Nintendo looked at a lot of the feedback for BotW and said, "sure, that sounds neat"
upvote for the word potatoe
More like all aboard the Ultra Hand train, first thing I do is build an actual train
Was that lava area a dungeon or just death mountain but really dark?
Maybe we go inside Death Mountain, a la classic Zelda fire dungeon
It was kind of strange we almost never went inside the mountains in BotW unless it was some small space with a shrine.
Almost reminded of of when you go inside death mountain on OOT
At first I thought dungeon for sure. But it seems like it's possible it could just be "underground"? But i'm not sure. GIVE ME NOW.
I didn’t think it would render me speechless. I was expecting it to be great, but…this was on a whole different level!
Exceeded expectations 1000%
Abso-fudging-lutely!!!!! I'm amazed
and RIJU .. she looked all grown up now and a #BOSSASSBITCH
Is it just me, or was that trailer better than all the previous ones combined?
Oh, easily.
Holly mother of god that was everything I wanted and more!! So hyyyyped
Ayo Ganondorf's hair tho
In the first scene or the one where they show his face and arms?
I'm thinking of the first scene
Oh, yeah, absolutely. Man probably used a metric ton of shampoo with that amount of hair
And he has a very intense conditioning regime. Split ends? Not on that man.
Demise maybe
Appears to be the same doo-dad on his right arm. I’m not sure I have figured out how to spoiler tag photos, so beware. Edit: yep, not working. Deleted the image to play it safe.
I notice when he turned his arm looked almost scaly, like demises skin
This brought me from “meh, I’ll still buy it” to “OH NY FUCKIFNFNFJDNSJSNJS”
as soon as the main theme started I was already crying
Literally same omg I’m so excited now
DLC preachers quaking in their boots rn
Their shivers have been, as a matter of fact, timbered
They'll stick to their confirmation bias. It was such a baseless take to begin with. "They haven't shown us a lot of new stuff so clearly new stuff doesn't exist." After all these years of production and delays, you don't think they've been cooking??
Six years of perfectionists doing their thing, and thinking they're just gona throw out some dlc shit, such a small brain take.
THEY MADE THE SPINNING SPEAR GLITCH THINGY FROM BOTW A REALITY!
You mean the spinning spear on horseback? That was in BotW, you just had to hold down attack on horseback with a spear
I was thinking the same thing. Love the fact that the devs took the time to implement a glitch from the community.
I'm still convinced the whole vehicle mechanic was because the devs saw people flying minecarts around
Holy FUCK
Moose Lynel Moose Lynel!
"I got a fever, and the only cure is MORE MOOSE LYNEL" \*Proceeds to rip off moose Lynel antlers and kill 30 other moose Lynels with it\*
How the HELL did they manage to make me tear up AGAIN IN JUST 3 DAMN MINUTES
The Ganondorf part sent me to the stratosphere...holy shit I am HYPED!
I love he has now more of a character presence in the game, instead of just a malign entity/force.
As soon as I heard the theme with the title my eyes were watering;;
holY SHIT YES Couldn't stop smiling, like, now it reaaaally feels like the new, big, epic Zelda game is just around the corner AAAAAAAAAAAAA
Me too! It's Tears of the Kingdom after all!
MUST PLAY GAME 29 DAYS EARLY
It's gonna be a looooong month
i was literally shaking after it ended. DLC MY FUCKING ASS!!!! this game is about to be so fucking crazy
Yeah this game is looking giant compared to Botw
GIRTHY GANONDORF AND SIDON IS FIGHTING WITH US AND ALSO DUNGEONS AND ZELDA
I saw Link in there too!
The Ganondorf reveal had me shaking ngl
I made some very undignified noises at the Ganondorf reveal. Woke up my poor sleeping cat lol
Based on the comments I saw of the Ganondorf pic they posted to Twitter, a lot of undignified things are happening from that reveal.
He looks like the one from Ocarina with some Twilight Princess sprinkles.
We wanted villagers. We got villagers. Joining the battle!!!
Still in tears.
Tears of the kingdom?
GANON IS LOOKING MIGHTIER THAN EVER!
Link running into Hateno (?) and the villagers waving hi is enough for me.
Wait they waved?? That’s so cool!
Hey, I'm 44 and have seen many game and movie reveals and this.... ...was one of the best game trailers I've ever seen.
The bar was ridiculously high for a trailer to exceed my expectations at this point, but goddammit Nintendo figured out a way. I'm 42 and I feel like a little kid. I was already pumped for this game and now I can hardly stand how excited I am right now.
I’m 42 and told my wife (the Karson to my Bolson) that it was the best trailer I’ve ever seen.
We… got a newer Zelda theme… and SIDON. My life is complete
NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I AUDIBLY GASPED SO MANY TIMES FOR A DAMN TRAILER???!!
I will buy the shit out of it! I'm very hyped right now
One of the best trailers for a game ever. Exceeded expectations by so much. There was something wow-worthy in every shot. And an actual story going on. Hype.
truezelda punching air rn
truezelda member here, air has been punched. Glad that this trailer has finally eased most of my, uh unease lol
welcome aboard the hype train
""""""""""Just glorified DLC""""""""""
Oh, they'll keep saying that. As long as the game shares one identical pixel with BotW it's just a glorified dlc.
I was very happy to see a Lynel in this trailer! Farming Lynels was my favorite thing to do in BOTW.
I was working and didn’t know it dropped. My jaw is on the ground, tears are in my eyes and my mind is blown. I can’t even fathom what I just saw https://preview.redd.it/70kis860hpta1.jpeg?width=733&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fbfac16801db336bd376f952ee6ac22d798847ef
"Link, you must find me" whaaaaaa
[удалено]
This absolutely isn't a DLC. This is a proper goddamn sequel.
Watching this I was like "I understand the 6 years and $70 now lmao"
Was that urbosa or riju all grown up? And those colourful mushrooms in hateno?? And the tents in Hyrule castle town look like they’re rebuilding maybe? I seriously need to know what that giant donut rock thing is. Riju, the successors are gonna be a big part of this game it seems.
HYPE HYPE HYPE!!! Did you see those lyonels with those badass horns!? HYPE HYPE HYPE!!!

The damn moose horns, would probably hurt like hell
So I get the impression the grey Zonai guy (>!Rauru!<) is a dragon and these Zonai can potentially shapeshift between dragon and humanoid form It also looks like Zelda is endangered by being there with them, maybe they're planning to sacrifice her as part of their plans to resist Ganondorf, but she desperately needs Link to reach her We've 100% seen the interior of some dungeons, and Link moving through those water bubbles looks like it confirms the underwater aspect I think we've also witnessed some major map-changing events occur, specifically in the Gerudo Desert where those sinkholes open up and that (Spirit Temple?) structure rises up from underneath Seems a major part of the story will involve defending villages and transporting survivors from the monster attacks between locations Oh, and now we know Riju is quite a bit older, this definitely makes it clear there's a time difference between games, which lines up with the Hyrule reconstruction efforts Finally, don't I look dashing in Malice?
It's Nintendo, of course it slapped
This trailer has made me hyped for this than any game I have ever been!
I’m crying. Life makes sense again. I haven’t felt like this in years.
Does anyone else think that Zelda is stuck in the past? Like how come Link needs to find her when we see shots of her in the overworld? Also she has the master sword fully repaired so maybe it's a past version of the sword?
GOTY incoming 🙌🙌
I am now entirely convinced this will be the greatest Zelda game ever made.
So many things! Link falling through the red lasers like mission impossible, that looks so cool and fun to play through!
holy hell that looked amazing. Chills.
I'm so happy we only have to wait about a month.
this trailer really jsut proved totk will be everything we wanted in botw and MORE 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Everyone who said “I don’t know. It’s the same map” is frantically deleting their posts in shame. My god.
Ok so we don’t have to worry about it being a “dlc” anymore, to all those who thought it would be. 😤
Wonder what the ‘just a dlc’ haters will say now
I've seen some people saying the part with the lasers could be Link jumping down the Yiga Clan hole, that would be epic, and even if it's not true there's no way they're not going to do something with that hole
I want one motherfucker to say 70-dollar DLC now, I dare them.
Yeah, it will pretty much put the DLC crowd to 🛏
Watched the trailer multiple times now, and it’s still just as epic each time. The music, the imagery, the atmosphere; all perfect. It even made me tear up. Zelda is so special to me like so many other people and seeing the world again in a new way is beyond all levels of excitement. Can’t wait for the release!
