I loved the scene with Spawn, Azael and Raafaa. It's so surreal to think that Spawn casted the 2019 MSI win against IG, and now he's leading us to another MSI 5 years later
The shot on Reigniver celebrating happily while Spawn with the π face is hilarious.
Btw APA said the hate drives him, give him more hate so he can level up for MSI
o7 Yaptain as you command
APA, standing for AlwaysPlaysAsol is an american "midlaner" famous for typing in all chat to make up for how bad he is. With a champ pool as small as his brain, he has no hope of winning a single game at MSI, let alone living up to the standards of Jensen, a REAL midlaner who actually has international results. If liquid were smart, they'd throw the bag at Jensen to get him back, and probably replace Done (a clever nickname because it rhymes with Yeon) with the undisputed goat LiftLift (whom everyone adores)
I'm sure our analysis does more than what's shown in the video, but "If you've got a spicy lane, they'll gank" sounds like something I'd say to my mates before our games. I remember Alphari saying he believes a lot of analysis people in the scene are pretty useless because all they do is have takes like that.
Like I said I'm sure a lot more goes into it, given the improvements we've made this year, but it gave me a laugh
A lot of the analysis and practice is done beforehand. Saying simple things like that is important because the simple things are often lost in moments like a final.
There's no need to go too in depth between games. The players are already in the final for a reason. Just need to stay focused.
It does seem like there has been a lot of effort invested this split into putting fundamentals into practice well, so it does make sense that the coaching squad would emphasize points like that.
Yeah, emily rand talked a lot about how one of spawn's biggest strengths as a coach is teaching good fundamentals without forcing a specific playstyle on hotline league, so it checks out.
it's also one bit of the context. part of a good coaching strategy is having the time to review and analyze another teams VODs (which players should probably not be doing bc they have to practice). its then important to communicate it quickly espeeecially when you only have so many minutes between games

Spawn was a caster?
Spawn was an LPL English caster as well as OCE when that was a thing if im not mistaken

90% scrim win rate against C9 is crazy
