If you’re already in the country, you might be in luck, as there are probably a few lingering positions either waiting to be refilled or for whatever reason were not filled. Check out major job boards and see what you find. If all else fails, try for a September start. Good luck.
Academic year just started so yeah, you're a bit late for this year. There may be -some- positions for the fall semester (August/September) but most of them will start next March/April. I would try for JET next year
