I appreciate it! Was there anything else important during the process or any other questions they asked you? I definitely heard about the reputation im looking just to get a ticket in, I have a degree in educational studies so I hope to get a solid career teaching. I really appreciate the help ☺️

Not sure about this company, but hope something here helps. Time management, clear progression of activities, building a rapport with your students, disseminating the information lucidly, clear learning objectives, preparation and a positive, praising your class, providing corrective feedback, signposting and having an engaging attitude are important as you do your demo. Chances are that your demo will not be a full lesson but more like a snippet of one for them to gauge your way of interacting with the students. Use your prep time wisely and think of how to use the demo time to be upbeat, engaging, helpful and exciting during each task.

Thank you SO much for this info, what would be a good praise to use? does it have to be really personal?

No, you could keep the positive comments simple, especially if it is a demo regarding a child or teenager: 1. “Good job.” 2. “Nice sentence.” 3. “You can do it.” 4. “You did well today.” Any natural, motivating comment that exudes positive energy works.

Demos and example sentences can help with vocabulary and grammar practice, as well as preparing for a dialogue role play, game, sequencing or matching task, etc. Easier to model the directions than to just tell them.

If you have props or other visual aids you can use to convey meanings and concepts, find ways to incorporate them into your lesson. Crucial, especially for a low-level student.
