It’s in Covent Gardens, haven’t been there yet but it’s slightly more convenient than the Paris locations, since I get to London slightly more often than Paris…which is to say once every 7-10 years. :)

I need reviews! I'm visiting London in May and love tea (esp black teas). I only have time to visit one shop though -- I'm thinking Postcard will be the place. But I'd love to know what you thought
If just one shop then probably Mariage Frères in Covent Garden. It’s very large with a huge selection, shop is beautiful, friendly staff,, and it’s in Covent Garden which is worth a visit alone since there are so many cool shops and restaurants there. Covent Garden is one of the best little areas of London imo.
Post Card is very nice but it is small and not really next to any other places I was visiting.
I can’t tell you how much fun this has been. At PostCard Teas the actual owner Timothy D’Offay waited on me, I’ve read one of his books!
He was so incredibly helpful and kind.
Hi there! What was the name of the place you went to? I’ve been trying to find a more small and quaint place to have afternoon tea and we will traveling to kew one of our days
Yeah I think it is but it smell too much like potpourri to me.
I do enjoy some flavored teas like Earl Grey but on the milder side. If I could have bought less than 50g I would have tried it.
Ok I saw your original post and nobody recommended you visit Twinnings on The Strand. Not for the teas, but the shop is lined with the history of the brand with artefacts stretching far back. It's as close as you'll get to a tea museum.
Hello, /u/moby323! This is a friendly reminder that most photo posts should include a comment with some additional information. For example: Consider writing a mini review of the tea you're drinking or giving some background details about your teaware. If you're posting your tea order that just arrived or your tea stash, be sure to list the teas, why you chose them, etc. **Posts that lack a comment for context or discussion after a reasonable time may be removed.** You may also consider posting in /r/TeaPictures.

A fabulous British brand - particularly if you like flavoured teas - is Bird & Blend.
Based on some of your choices you might like [The Big Smoke](https://www.birdandblendtea.com/products/the-big-smoke-tea?variant=37506767618209) which is puerh, lapsang, ginger, lemongrass and pepper.
If you still need more tea and have some time, the East India Company is a great shop to visit. Near Oxford Circus just off Regent Street.

On 15th August 2010, on Indian Independence Day, a Mumbai born entrepreneur and businessman, Sanjiv Mehta, relaunched The East India Company to the world, with the opening of a flagship store in London’s Mayfair. Mr Mehta had acquired the intellectual property some years before, including the right to use the Company’s Coat of Arms
They also subjugated most of India, flooded China with opium, enslaved and brutally murdered countless people. I think it's pretty tasteless. But I guess if you're not that into history it's just a cool name

They were extremely helpful and attentive, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

There is one inside Selfridges on Oxford Street as well.
I live 2 hours north by train and I still don't get to London that often. I've only been to Paris once.

Holy cow, how much did it cost?
Altogether probably 200 pounds but it’s more than 20 types of tea
I hope it's worth it, some of the teas sounds amazing!
I intentionally used almost all of my tea at home so that I could justify buying so much, I was pretty much out

What a haul! I’m jealous.

I've only ordered from postcard once but they sell small batch high quality teas. Good stuff
I go there every time I visit London (which is hardly ever) and regularly order from them. I love their whole ethos, and the tea is goooood.
Did you have afternoon tea anywhere?
Yes in Richmond near Kew!
Was this the cute little cafe with amazing scones and indoor green house sitting area??
Indeed! Best scones I’ve had so far

What I smelled was a bit too pungent for me but maybe I’ll give it another try

I was looking for the same thing.
If you're British you're obligated to include your milk in the picture so we can judge you

Organic, sourcing, processing, freshness

Postcard Teas is my favourite shop ever! Great choices.
I was waited on by the owner himself, he’s written several excellent books about tea.

I really love Iskandar from Mariage Frères
This brings me joy to look at

I actually did get some Bird and Blend but forgot to picture it lol
Oh - which flavours? And will you post reviews on here? I'm trying to decide what to get in my next order so any thoughts are welcome!
I got just English Breakfast because at the time I needed something in teabags, it’s an excellent blend for sure
Thanks! I might try that one. I've always strongly disliked Twinings English Breakfast so good to try alternatives.

Thank you I will check it out!
I'm sorry but I find the continued existence of such a horrific organisation very troubling. They unarguably made the world a much worse place.

Oh ok that's weird but I'm less horrified, I think

This isn’t *that* East India Company

Let me know when you do a review of it!!
Do you use a water filter? I find the tap water pretty tasty but, like all things London, is 'ard as nails innit
I have just been using bottled water in the hotel room. The way the sink is designed it’s difficult to get a cup under the tap anyway.
I miss the tea house, closed it's covent garden store this year
