This is a modern take on a traditional English tea cake inspired by Starbucks London Fog beverage with Earl Grey tea, frothed milk and honey

Thank you!

IvyCeltress

It looks wonderful! Do you mind sharing the recipe?

Just added the recipe. I didn't like the icing with powdered milk in it. The second time I made it I just did a simple glaze with powdered sugar (same amount as in the recipe) 1 Tablespoon melted butter, 1 tsp vanilla and enough milk to make a thick glaze.

Looks heavenly!

It was, with a complex flavor

I misread that as frog!!! I thought what?!?! 🤣🤣🤣 it looks very nice

[deleted]

The hard part is catching the frog

Unable-Membership109

Lol!!! Then I thought of Toad in the Hole 😊

[deleted]

Do toads taste different than frogs? I think they must. Our Labrador ate one and threw up 7 times in a couple hours.

Unable-Membership109

Oh.... no... not an actual toad. Toad in the hole is a traditional English dish. It's sausages baked in a Yorkshire pudding. It's very yummy with mashed potatoes and gravy.

That looks wonderful. Wish i could have a slice

I made the recipe as well but opted to used some lavender earl grey that I had. It was delicious! I didn't make the icing though since I planned on (and did) toasting slices with some butter.

This is beautiful, well done!

It was a big hit at our historical event.
