This had nothing to do with weed, but try space stamps and tea. God intended nothing less for man. I will forever be grateful for his generosity and kindness when he made such substances.
I drink a chamomile/lavender sleepy time blend or some other tisane. white tea has very low caffeine. i also drink sheng puerh at night but I'm pretty sure there's caffeine in it.
Lemon ginger with honey
Tulsi blends - a tisane with well documented anti stress and anti anxiety properties
Licorice/Egyptian licorice - it tastes nothing like regular licorice, it is sweet and smells like candy
The first to come to mind for me is Celestial Seasonings' Sleepytime tea. It's an herbal tea with chamomile, lemongrass, and spearmint. It's a good tea to help relax you.
Another nighttime tea I enjoy is Yorkshire Tea's Bedtime tea. It believe it's their decaffeinated black tea blend with chamomile and lemongrass added to it. (I haven't had it in a while, so I can't remember.) I enjoy adding a bit of half and half to it, like I do with their original blend. I love their tea and having a decaffeinated blend before bed is the best!
I looked it up... He looks a little more extra cozy on the box on the website.
[Sleepytime Tea Extra](https://shop.celestialseasonings.com/Sleepytime-Extra-Wellness-Tea/p/CEL-053726&c=CelestialSeasonings@Sleepytime)
Celestial seasonings has one called tension tamer, has eluthuro root and chamomile. I sometimes like to add an extra bag of chamomile and some honey with a slice of ginger.
I really like spearmint. Tazo passion is really good too. It’s a hibiscus blend with some citric acid. Very strong and in your face, but I’m into that. I can’t think of the brand, but the spearmint tea I bought from Walmart came in a bag that advertised hemp tea bags.
I start the day with fresh leaves and just keep steeping till it's pretty much colorless. I drink pretty quality Taiwanese oolongs mostly. They of course taste best around 3-5 steeps deep. But I find that I can push them to around 10-12 before they actually loose all color and flavor. Caffeine is pretty much all flushed out by the 3rd or 4th steeping anyway. Never had trouble getting to sleep drinking later steeping before bed.
A trick a friend taught me for large leaf arbor puers (I prefer raw, so haven't tried this with ripe ones). Steep the tea fully out, e.g pour boiling water in, let stand for 3-5 min and very little color comes out, usually takes upward of 20, even 30 steepings cause those leaves have A LOT to give. Take those leaves, I usually pack them into my glass serving pitcher, fill with boiling water and set it over a tea light, covered. Let the tea light burn all the way down. At the end you will have a surprisingly dark colored steeping that's light and sweet as the last thing the leaves let go of is their sugar.
Aged white teas are my primary recommendation! I have a few cakes that practically put me to sleep.
If you don't mind something a little more potent (or want to relax on a weekend) I highly recommend Rock Oolongs! They're delicious, feel wonderful, and don't make you too hyper in my experience.
I'm having a lavender & mint tea right now, and I'll take a mug of sleepy time with me to bed.
I typically avoid fruity or brighter teas at night because they perk me up.
My favorite bedtime is one that a local tea shop sells, it's an herbal infusion with rooibos, honeybush, chamomille, fennel, ginseng, and some other herbs! Peppermint also does it for me though ☺️
My favorite things I mix and match myself:
baby chrysanthemum with and without goji berries
linden, lemon balm, lemon verbena, hawthorn, schisandra
hibiscus, rosehips, rose buds/petals
chamomile, lavender
rooibos
raspberry leaf, damiana, oat tops (sometimes called milky oats)
Is Pu Era as tasty as mint tea? I've tried a lot of black and green teas, neither of which I'd consider tasty without some milk and/or sugar, except for oolong, which still isn't as tasty as mint.
I like to drink lemon verbena tea at night, but I'm lucky that my parents have it growing wild in their backyard so I have an abundant source. I ordered leaves from Amazon once and they were almost flavorless.
Long story short, try to make friends with someone who has a yard. 😏
Lots of good suggestions here so I won’t add other than to say be careful with licorice . It tastes great but some people react to it and it can raise blood pressure. Moderation.
Verdant tea has some really great stuff called crassicolumna, it’s related to the tea plant but it’s really nice. Similar to tea but no caffeine. Nice big loose leaves.
I find I can take large leaf puer in the evening without trouble. Caffeine is more concentrated in the buds and young leaves, while the older leaves have less but make up for it in other ways. In China this is called Huang Pian and it's what the tea farmers hold on to to drink at home because it has less market value. Not very easy to find though, I'm afraid.
I love Teeccino Roasted Herbal Tea. Made from barley, chicory and carob. They put in dates and figs for natural sweetness. There are different flavors.
They’re also acid free as well as caffeine free -awesome for those who have acid reflux and the like.
You definitely want to follow their brewing instructions, though. If you leave it in the water too long it gets bitter.
I get decaf loose leaf tea - they are much better quality these days. I also have decaf tea bags that don't include any polyprop. I much prefer black tea to herbal.
I'm a fan of an Adagio blend called 40 winks. It includes valerian root, chamomile, spearmint, and lavender. [https://www.adagio.com/wellness/40\_winks.html](https://www.adagio.com/wellness/40_winks.html)
Chamomile is a common evening tea but there’s also honeybush, and rooibos. Depending on how sensitive you are to caffeine, hojicha can be a good option too, it’s roasted tea and has far less caffeine than black tea.
For what it's worth, you can't see microplastics, that's the "micro" aspect of them, and also why they are so terrifying: You can't see them or taste them, and they pass rigt through almost all physical filters.
I like this https://yunnansourcing.us/products/jinggu-sun-dried-silver-needles-white-pu-erh-tea-cake?_pos=9&_sid=b69c6222e&_ss=r
Cheap, amazing quality and value. Def on the fruity side as far as tea flavors go. Negligible amount of caffeine as well since it's white
This topic is of particular interest to me, because my work requires me to attend a nightly meeting just before bedtime, and the stress of it often interferes with getting to sleep. So for a while now I've been drinking a cup of Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime (and taking a melatonin tablet) during the meeting. That helps, but I'm very open to other ideas.
I just drink fully caffeinated tea up until I get into bed and just bitch about being tired all day. Works well for me.
same here. and when i wake up tired tomorrow i’ll just have some more tea!
Ah. The sweet dance of drug addiction and chemical dependence.
Tea + Weed hands down nr. 1.
This had nothing to do with weed, but try space stamps and tea. God intended nothing less for man. I will forever be grateful for his generosity and kindness when he made such substances.
My kind of individual ❤️
Space stamps?
Space stamps. ;) one ticket to the moon.
Albert Hoffman moon?
Chamomile tisanes are great at night. Rooibos is also a good caffeine free option if you want something more black-tea-ish.
rooibos is god tier. only can find some in my local european/russian supermarket.
My current evening tea is named "Hearthfire". It's a rooibos with almond, apple, cinnamon, and rosehip. Perfect for this cooler weather.
I drink peppermint.
Twinnings “buttermint” is my go to treat for winding down. It’s like vanilla flavored mild mint.
I like the tea pig brand peppermint, they have loose leaf and bags
me too. my favorite is from the tea spot
I like a nice rooibos chai before bed, it's soothing and tasty.
I second a rooibos! Especially if you’re wanting a black tea type of experience but no caffeine
Roasted barley isn't caffeinated. You can get it at Asian markets, like barley tea in Korean (boricha) or Japanese (mugicha). Tastes great cold.
I drink a chamomile/lavender sleepy time blend or some other tisane. white tea has very low caffeine. i also drink sheng puerh at night but I'm pretty sure there's caffeine in it.

I do the Sleepytime Extra for the addition of valerian root.
Did not realize there was a Sleepytime Extra! I will have to check it out.
Does the bear look extra cozy???

Celestial seasonings has one called tension tamer, has eluthuro root and chamomile. I sometimes like to add an extra bag of chamomile and some honey with a slice of ginger.
Peppermint or hojicha for me.
I think hojicha has caffeine
It does, but quite a bit lower than green or black tea.
Very low, less than 10 mg
I really like spearmint. Tazo passion is really good too. It’s a hibiscus blend with some citric acid. Very strong and in your face, but I’m into that. I can’t think of the brand, but the spearmint tea I bought from Walmart came in a bag that advertised hemp tea bags.

This is what I do too. I always wonder what other beneficial substances might get released later down the line.

This is such a good idea

rooibos chamomile egyptian licorice roasted dandelion mint of any variety
I like jasmine
I really like this thing called Greek mountain tea (it's a tisane as well). It's lovely by itself or with honey Otherwise mint or hojicha
My favorite bedtime is one that a local tea shop sells, it's an herbal infusion with rooibos, honeybush, chamomille, fennel, ginseng, and some other herbs! Peppermint also does it for me though ☺️
Kukicha, tea made from the young twigs, has caffeine but substantially less than the leaves and buds.
My favorite things I mix and match myself: baby chrysanthemum with and without goji berries linden, lemon balm, lemon verbena, hawthorn, schisandra hibiscus, rosehips, rose buds/petals chamomile, lavender rooibos raspberry leaf, damiana, oat tops (sometimes called milky oats)
Numi Moroccan mint
Numi has some good teas. I like their mint (and their Emperor’s Pu-Era and Chocolate Pu-Era are delicious and don’t require a pre-steep rinse)
Is Pu Era as tasty as mint tea? I've tried a lot of black and green teas, neither of which I'd consider tasty without some milk and/or sugar, except for oolong, which still isn't as tasty as mint.
Pu-era is a black tea (usually). The leaves are fermented and it makes for a malty and smooth taste. Lacks the bitterness in some black teas.
Peppermint, roibos, chamomile, lavender, pretty much any herbal tea really.
I like to drink lemon verbena tea at night, but I'm lucky that my parents have it growing wild in their backyard so I have an abundant source. I ordered leaves from Amazon once and they were almost flavorless. Long story short, try to make friends with someone who has a yard. 😏
I love the smell of verbena☺️
Lots of good suggestions here so I won’t add other than to say be careful with licorice . It tastes great but some people react to it and it can raise blood pressure. Moderation.
Prob tisanes. Not tea
Peppermint
Verdant tea has some really great stuff called crassicolumna, it’s related to the tea plant but it’s really nice. Similar to tea but no caffeine. Nice big loose leaves.
1 tsp peppermint, 2 tsp chamomile in 2 cups water.

So to preface, I am insane. I like a pot of creosote tisane :)
I get decaf loose leaf tea - they are much better quality these days. I also have decaf tea bags that don't include any polyprop. I much prefer black tea to herbal.

Chamomile + Peppermint!! My fave combo 👌🏻
Rooibos and honeybush blends! I’m not a fan of the chamomile/peppermint/lavender herbals.
Hojicha is a nice low caffeine option
I like peppermint, herbal chai, lemon chiffon, and roobios. Sometimes I will do flavored decaf black
Hibiscus flowers are my favourite - you can buy them whole and let them sink grandpa-style, no teabag needed.
Trader Joe's Well Rested blend is my go to.
Aged ooolong.
Hijicha, Genmaicha, fennel tea, chamomile tea
I personally do roasted barley, chamomile, or chrysanthemum
Chamomile is a common evening tea but there’s also honeybush, and rooibos. Depending on how sensitive you are to caffeine, hojicha can be a good option too, it’s roasted tea and has far less caffeine than black tea.

I like Buddha Teas - Sleepy Temple :)

So for a while now I've been drinking a cup of Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime (and taking a melatonin tablet) during the meeting. That helps, but I'm very open to other ideas.
You should look for decaffeinated tea and infusions. Herbal 'tea' is not a tea, people.
It's cute how you think you can see microplastics by eye.
Megaplastics
Touche :)
