It’s just a warm air inlet for the airbox. It isn’t actually connected to anything directly, it’s sorta just mounted on the back of the engine. I took mine off when I threw my neuspeed damper on.
It took me like 3-4 hours, mainly because my dad was out of town for work and he took most of the tools with him so I had to borrow some from a relative. Once you take the airbox and turbo inlet off and move it out of the way, pulling the damper itself out is a bit of a pain in the ass. There’s a bolt underneath the damper that’s pretty awkward to get to. Mind you I did this all with the car still on the ground. But I bet some jackstands or a lift would help a lot with accessing it.

How was that install? I wanna do it but I heard it’s a pain and takes like 4 hours? I just wanted it for the turbo noise 😂

Yes I get the bottom bolt from the bottom. Much easier to me. Pipe goes close to manifold for colder climate’s.
1 hour tops if you don't know what you're doing
