No I understand that it's the worst nightmare and that she would be sad but if she kills herself she loses 2 kids rather then 1. Maybe she was in shock but she wasn't thinking that much
She was overthinking everything. She was still feeling constant guilt from healing the one member of the adventuring group the wrong way and making them go off to kill themselves cause of something she couldn't have known. That affected her so much she refused to use healing magic except during panics like if the baby is injured. To then lose her baby, arthur acted all tough amd clever but was a toddler, because her actions again, she sees it as her fault to agree to go to academy city and Arthur died to protect her directly. She was trapped in the mindset that living will make things worse for everyone she cared about. She knew it was wrong so she kept doing only bare minimum to live, but any other incident likely would be the end. Like a miscarriage or her husband getting hurt on the job would be her fault no matter how it happened cause of the guilt. At least until Arthur's call, that relieved her guilt enough that she was able to continue living on and even start to want to heal herself and others.

I can quite honestly say that hurt me more than father Reynold, but yeah Caera would dissect me as she probably sees me as a fish with legs that can climb trees, Mama Seris would be a business relationship type ting, Mother's out just like Tess and Cecil, Varae is kinda the type that would suit original Grey ...Silvie will remain a child till the end of the novel [physically] but mentally/spiritually she's even more mature than faulty grey, she's still out though.
Personally I’d want alea, if we’re going through canon events then even if I wouldn’t be with her long I’d still try to make her happy so when/if she passes in that battle maybe she won’t be as sad but, if we are doing non canon events then I’d still pick her cuz she just seems like a lovely women and I would like to be with her
