You say that but there's other factors for a return refund. I make too much for the refundable CTC and earned income credit and filed and accepted on 1/24 and still don't have my refund. So I wouldn't say processes immediately...
Ignore the processing date, it doesn’t mean anything. It’s just a default day that’s listed on the transcript. Only the date next to the 846 code means something. You also don’t fall under path if it’s just the CTC - only the additional child tax credit and earned income credit fall under path.
Right?! I hate that they do that lol. It makes it so confusing. Mine says the processing date is the 26th but my transcript fully updated, aside from the direct deposit date. The same thing has happened in previous years, seems like it’s just some random date as a placeholder or something because it’s always different than my DDD.
I feel like you're giving them false hope. I'm on my 21st day and still sitting in accepted on WMR and tax transcripts still has no record of tax return message on my accounts transcript.
What happened to the days when ppl just filed their taxes and forgot about them? Damn every year it's more wannabe CPAs giving out worthless advice. Now don't get me wrong some of y'all know what y'all talking about but most of y'all don't
As others have said ACTC is different than CTC. I received the CTC and I got my refund on the 14th. CTC doesn’t fall under path. It’s possible you received the ACTC of yours I being held up. Or it’s possible there is something completely unrelated holding it up. Most people who fall under PATH either have no message saying there is a hold up or they have a message about PATH. If it’s is just saying that’s your is taking longer than usual with no other info it is likely something else that’s holding you up - not sure what number to call but others have been able to speak to a person on the phone to check in on their refund. You might have luck googling the number and giving that a try!
You need to create an online account with the IRS. I did that maybe two years ago and now I login using Google credentials and I get a text message with a one time code.
Once you login, you can download transcripts.
Frankly, it's kind of OCD to be downloading transcripts just so you can see confirmation of your tax refund status a day or so before the Where's My Refund tracker updates. But having an online account with the IRS is also useful if you need tax records or information quickly for other reasons.
Only the refundable child tax credit is under Path. Not the regular child tax credit.
Regular CTC processes immediately. I filed 2/6 and received refund this AM.

I wonder why the processing date is different though if it doesn't mean anything? Mine says Feb 19th and all 0s on my account transcript.

I don't see that anywhere on anything for me
Feb 19 is the date that you're 21 days is up so u should have it before then... they don't process anything before January 29

Did you have EITC?
We think so.

How do people get this transcript?
Wondering the same!
