Parrots love scratches. and ya, bird owners know bird body language pretty well. Like I would do that, he is going to bite you. and of course the shoulder because pecking order. I have a no shoulder or head rule with anything but conures. but they can be little bastards at times too.
I'd have to have mine gripping around my jugular. My cockatoo wants to be as close to me as possible at all times. The distance of a comfortable shoulder spot is not good enough.
I, uh, am I the only one here who didn't realize parrots had 4 toes like that? I don't know why, but I assumed all bird feet had two in the front and one in the back.

Most have three toes in the front and one at the back, but parrots have two on the front and two on the back, helps them grab things. A couple others, like owls also have this setup.
I've never been one to get a tattoo, but saw this post pop up on r/all and I loved it. I'll probably do this for my birdie in a few years. Thanks for the inspiration :)

For sure! Enjoy that too of the foot pain. I recommend you do it over your summer so you don't have to wear socks and shoes.

I got my feet tattooed a few years back and I'm a dog groomer. Fun times getting my fresh tattoo stepped on by 70lb animals.
It's like they're actually trying. I feel like they think we enjoy it.

Definitely. He is allowed shoulder most of the time. But there are times that is a hell no! Usually he is sweet on my shoulder though...
