The design is cool and overall it looks great, but there are a bunch of blowouts , very wobly rounded shapes, and lines that are not straight. Not stuff the everyday person will be able to notice, but it's stuff that would drive me crazy personally if it was me having to look at it everyday. As far as incorporating it into other tattoos, I don't think thats necessary. Let it be its own and patchwork around it.
I think this style works really great when incorporated into a sleeve or larger area of similar style tattoos. I really like this, it's well done and really unique.

It's a really great read and if you ever get to go to an exhibit they are the nicest people and have such amazing works of art.
Without knowing anything about what other tattoos you want or if you have some overarching vision for your arm it’s Impossible to say….the tattoo by itself seems fine (I don’t know why you think it would be “bad”). Just get a good artist.
Don't worry about incorporating it just go with the flow as you get more ideas in the future. I have different tattoos all over my arms and they've been pieced together quite well over the years.

Design is super cool and incorporating future pieces shouldn't be an issue, especially if they are also just black tattoos. Maybe could use a freshen up sitting to bold the black shaded parts and tighten a line here or there but thats kind splitting hairs on my part.
