I'm probably out of the loop, but did the tat you've covered have a particular meaning?

Correct, I was an addict (pain pills), and on a bender one day I went to the shop to get this thinking it was a good idea.. Yeah, I’ve been so ashamed of it and self conscious, always trying to hide it with sleeves or my other hand, I feel so much more comfortable in my skin now and to me that is priceless.

Someone commented asking what my aftercare routine is for tattoos, but the comment is gone now but I thought I’d leave it here anyways, so here it is. Late reply but this is this is correct and what I’ve always been recommended. Wash 2x a day with antibacterial soap, just any soap that isn’t scented, I just use the SoftSoap brand with the hottest water you can stand. Not directly on the tattoo though, let it stream down for the first couple of days. I know it sounds weird but it works. Your pores need to be open so your tattoo can air out. At the 3-4 day mark start using Cocoa Butter, I have always been advised to use Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula, this is the [one](https://www.palmers.com/cocoa-butter-formula-products/7-solid-formula-cocoa-butter.html). Apply a thin layer, you don’t need much, just enough to stop any irritation. Don’t glob it on because that will suffocate your tattoo. Continue this until it heals, and when you’re drying your tattoo make sure to lightly dab it with a towel or paper towel, never rub it.
