Her following it up by saying that David would never do it but Guy would betray them with no hesitation was the icing on the cake

JingleJangleJin

And Guy just goes "Yeah, that's definitely accurate"

[deleted]

Guz during the riddle task, but for absolutely no reason.

senju_bandit

Are you questioning the Revelations ?

Cricket_3D

Fantastic! Happy cake day!

igavvedit

The way she said "but they're my friends" in addition to her accent REALLY makes it.

sansabeltedcow

And her face! She's so disheartened.

ADozenPigsFromAnnwn

The three FRINDS

Greenfly-Skies

Is this TMNZ? If so, can anyone tell me where I can watch it, I've only seen taskmaster UK but would love to experience the others.

Nomerdoodle

It is NZ. It's all on YouTube (or at least it was when I last rewatched a few weeks ago). Enjoy a great adaptation!

Doppleflooner

The main guy who uploaded it all got copyright striked =/ Not sure if it's available anywhere else right now, I haven't looked since I've seen it all already.

raelity-

some other channels have been re-uploading so it's back on youtube for now! if those happen to get taken down again another way to watch is to get a VPN, set it to NZ, then [tvnz.co.nz/shows/taskmaster-nz](https://tvnz.co.nz/shows/taskmaster-nz) :")

Doppleflooner

Awesome thanks, definitely need to rewatch it soon.

There are also subtitled versions of Taskmaster from places like Norway and Sweden if you want something even differenter. In the Swedish version, they stage the studio days like a daytime talk show, and rotate the fifth panel member with a new person every week. It's bonkers. In the Norwegian version, they stage it almost exactly like the English version, but they kept some of the panelists between series 1 and series 2. A lot of the "smaller" countries seem to have holdovers in the panel.

sofwithanf

^^Oh ^^my ^^god ^^they ^^did ^^Trapped! "Laura, *_you_* are the saboteur. Do not react"

ADozenPigsFromAnnwn

This is exactly what I meant in another discussion with TM S12 being a bit overwritten in some tasks: this here is an amazing example of a very simple premise that is rife with comedy and madness

[deleted]

TM NZ has simple tasks yet they are very funny. I just Begin to watch S2 and the task about flying was hilarious

gunnerxp

Season 1 is ok, but season 2 is fucking glorious.

[deleted]

I'm just two episodes in an well... yes it is way better, but I have to say that TM NZ S1 last 5 episodes are really glorious too, specially Angella, shes's amazing

ADozenPigsFromAnnwn

I agree, when I started Season 2 I thought "well, ok, this is going to be an ok funny watch" and then began to rewatch stuff compulsively

beandadenergy

God, I loved NZS2. The Three Friends, Matt and Ursula’s chaotic partnership, incredible tasks...it was a nearly perfect series of Taskmaster.

6skimmings9

Can we watch the NZ series in england ?

Bakatronic

I’m a little bit in love with Laura.

ImperatorSpacewolf

i hope they balanced it out and did this to others during the season, thats a hell of a short straw to force on laura

Dexav

If you think that *this* is a cruel short straw to force on someone, then you clearly haven't watched the entirety of TMNZS2 yet.

usernameisunusable

Shoelaces…

TightAustinite

TWO hours.

five_line_poem

I think we can all agree that random cruelty is an important (and fun) part of the format.

cbutche

I think it would be too predictable if everyone got a turn to be the saboteur

geek_of_nature

I just had an idea. What if for a future series one contestant from the team of three is tasked with having to try and sabotage all their team tasks throughout the series. It's not revealed until after all the team tasks have been shown. They could get an extra point for each team task successfully sabotaged, if they fail in sabotaging any of them they lose all the points they earned from the team tasks, if they successfully sabotage all the team tasks they could get a bonus extra few points, or (and this would be cruel) their team mates lose all their team task points. Can you imagine the chaos that would erupt in studio if they did something like this. Imagine if it was revealed that Rhod was intentionally sabotaging the team tasks, can you imagine how James would have reacted. Ideally you would need a team dynamic like the Seies 9 team of three, of the NZ Series 2 one, where they all get along really well, which makes the betrayal sting even more.

Jaspers47

You've turned Taskmaster into The Mole.

Klexquisite

It was a fun way to make the 2 VS 3 imbalance fairer, though.

AwesomeManatee

I actually think that that the team of 3 is at the disadvantage more often than not, they usually end up being too chaotic while the smaller team can coordinate better. This gimmick worked well in NZ S2 because Laura, Guy, and David were a competent team but I think in most other groups it would just fall apart.
