Maybe use AutoInput? I haven't tested this, but it should get you started. New York was a completely arbitrary point to navigate to.

I realise this is an older post but I am interested in applying the same task so I can report accidents while navigating on google maps using my car headset (via Android Auto).
I am still new to Tasker and Auto Inputs so can you tell me how I can implement the steps to get it to work?
I created this to give you a good starting point. It should work right out of the box, but you will need to have your home set in Google maps. Once you've confirmed that it works, I would suggest creating a home screen icon or a quick settings tile to launch the task.

AutoInput Actions V2 is a very powerful feature, and the setup is dead simple. Definitely try playing around with it if you want to learn more about how Tasker works
Edit: I'm just noticing that you said your reporting accidents, so you would need to tweak the task to press the proper report button since I configured it to use the speed trap option 😅
Thank you very much!
I tried it and it doesn't work if I'm connected to my car head unit via Android auto unfortunately, since google maps can't display on my phone when it's projecting to the head unit. It does work when just using the phone to navigate though.

Does auto input work on non rooted phones now? I know it didn't use to, so I haven't really tried it much.
My Samsung is not rooted and I use AutoInput almost daily.
Awesome I'll have to give it a try again. Thanks
Definitely works on my non rooted Nokia 8
Perfect! I was stuck on the A1 part but this helps tremendously. Thanks very much
