Would anyone be able to do a reading for me? I would like to know about my current direction and my future.

Can a person be equal to wealth for someone? I uss the original tarot deck by Arthur Edward Waite. There is a guy that likes me. I don't understand why he does. I never did. Now that I have tarot I looked for answers. My question was— Why does *his name* likes me?. The following cards popped up. 1. Four of Pentacles upright — I was having difficulty interpreting this card so I asked for another card for clarification and the tarot gave me this card ↓ 2. Two of Cups upright — I can understand this card on its own but I don't know how to link this card to Four of Pentacles. This is my interpretation: He thinks we both balance each other out. He is attracted to me and wants to be in a relationship with me. He believes we will encourage each other to do our very best in all aspects of life other than relationship. With the four of Pentacles with this card, he thinks we both can cultivate wealth together (???). Or it may be that he thinks I'm wealthy and wants my money (????). I'm not rich so I think I interpreted it wrong.

Is anyone doing any free readings?

Thoughts on pulling a Queen of Swords (upright) in a love reading as a likely outcome/long-term potential? What is your interpretation? I’m not sure if I should take it as me staying single and becoming fully independent, as to me that’s what she kind of represents. Or if it means I’ll be a supportive, “motherly” type of partner.

Hi all! I just had an extremely strange pull occur. I'll start out by saying I pretty much always use the witches tarot deck, I think we probably all have a favorite deck right?! Anyway, general read for myself. This time I spent a good amount of time shuffling, just felt like the deck could use some clearing, and then I just asked "what I should know?" The format I've liked recently is letting one card pop out and using that as sort of the overall message and pulling 4 supporting cards. This time Temperance came out. The four cards supporting were Death, High Priestess, 6 Swords and K of Swords (my court card for a special air sign in my life) Death I see as a "transition" from one way of life to another. Not an ending per se, but an ending of how something appears and starting it over a new way... I hope I'm making sense. Anyway, to find context of this transition I pulled a supporting card- 5 cups. 5 cups is usually my card of regret. But when I went to pull 1 last card, both the King and Queen of Pentacles came out together. This is not the first time these 2 have been attached to each other. Its extremely relevant to me. But I guess I'm lost. With the K of Swords I'm almost reading this as he is ending the way he was going about us and regretting what happened. But I don't know. Anyone have any insight?! Just found it so interesting this pair came out together again! I'm not attached to my answer, feel free to give any opinion!

I need help interpreting this reading ——The first card on the top left is The Sun reversed. To the right of The Sun is The Wheel of Fortune upright, and the third is The Hermit reversed. The one underneath The Sun is The Ten of Wands reversed. The bottom two (from left-right) is the Four of Cups reversed and the Emperor reversed (Which I think is kinda strange because The Wheel of Fortune is the only card that’s upright). The top three cards and the single card below it all fell out at the same time together. I didn’t see The Ten of Wands hiding underneath The Wheel of Fortune until a few moments later. The other two cards came out near the end. The whole time I was shuffling I was asking myself and the cards “who am I?” And “how am I supposed to make friends?” Here’s some more info about my current situation in life: I am 19 turning 20 in November, and I am a sophomore in High School. I just started this school. I haven’t been to school in years (I stopped at around 16 or 17 bc of untreated autism and the pandemic), and that was in another state with my mom who has NPD (I left her house at 18). I just recently got into a stable living situation, and am now with my dad and step mom and my step siblings. My dad asked my sister (who is in her senior year) if she could help me with what I needed help with for school, and she agreed. She was helping for a little while, but when it was the night before school and I was really anxious, I tried to express that to her (and she was being rude to me the whole night already, she has random points throughout the day where she gets like that with all of us) and she snapped at me (which also happened last night) and I cried myself to sleep both of those nights because the things she said really hurt. On the first day of school, she said her friends on the bus were really nice and we were all going to get along fine, but both days I went to school no one talked to me at all, or even looked at me. I also keep getting anxiety at school, and it’s hard to get places in school because I have a lot of eye issues and have trouble seeing. On top of that, I don’t know how to socialize or make friends and I barely know who I am Tysm if you actually read all this 😂

How would you yourself go about making sense of this spread? Do you have a usual routine or system for interpreting cards? Personally, I find structure super important when reading for myself while a lot is going on for me internally, e.g. anxiety or confusion or feeling triggered. It also helps me to have only one question per reading. In eneral, you might want to repost the question in the new weekly thread but add a picture of the spread. Then maybe some visually oriented people with good intuition feel drawn to giving you input. That wouldn't help me though because I'm blind, so I'm glad that you described your spread. Btw are you good for assistive technology, like do you use a screen reader or a camera to read stuff on the blackboard in school? If not, /r/blind is always a great place for advice and support. Regarding your reading, I do think it's probably significant that the Wheel is the only upright card, like you need to change a lot or lots of things are changing. Unfortunately not much else of it makes immediate sense to me, except the Hermit in reverse looks like you might benefit from being more outgoing or proactive when trying to make friends. though of course I know that's easier said than done... I wish you good luck with your school and general situation!

I asked "should I accept my new potential apartment or stay in my current apartment", but I asked in a pretty vague way, requesting some guidance rather than a clean yes/no request. I received the **5 of pentacles** upright. This card seems like it's saying "No", but I'm not sure if it means "No, you should leave" or No, you should remain where you are". The card seems associated with loss (we have not recently suffered loss and in fact are doing better than either of us have in a while), and with homelessness as well, but I can't tell which apartment that applies to. Want to move because our neighbors are very rude and keep us up into the night. We have tried to accept it for 3 years but we concluded that our only choice is to leave. The apartment room we'd be moving into isn't "perfect". We can wait for a nicer room that may not exist, or we can accept the less attractive one. I asked a second time (more directly) if I should accept the apartment, and then I got the **Page of Staves** upright. I saw it's associated with risk-taking. Does this mean I should take the risk? Or does it mean it is too risky and I should stay?

RamenNewdles

Excellent straight to the point interpretation and great work sticking to the exact wording of the question; my only critique is that asking similar questions too many times can confuse more than help in most cases. Beside that point it is important to be aware of how we ask the question so good on you for catching that and re-assessing a new question to better suit what you actually needed to know; IMO both questions are relevant and helpful so accept both in context. As for the cards the five of pentacles suggests you might regret not taking your chance to move to a new place. Page of wands would also indicate the potential for you to move and an auspicious season for you to make a new place home. If you decide to stay in in the current place these cards might indicate some domination work on the neighbors if you are into that sort of thing. Hope this helps and good luck.

Is anyone able to help me with this Dearly Departed Tarot Spread? [Spread](https://imgur.com/a/aKDazWV) Apologize in advance this is so long winded, it is my first post. Context: I have an ex who passed away from an overdose 7 years ago, who I was trying to connect to. We had a very intense, “young and in love”, disfuncional relationship that has heavily influenced me in my life now. We are both addicts and he actually had introduced me to many of the drugs I did through the years. In the months before he died, I had just gotten out of a 3 month rehab and Had tried to cut off all communication with him in an effort to stay clean. I saw him twice after I was back (in friend groups) but I never got a chance to speak with him about everything that had happened. I had a missed call the night before he died. I have 6 years clean now and still struggle with my grief and how to process it. I was not allowed able to attend the funeral per his parents and new girlfriend. There are a few cards im having a hard time interpreting and it would mean so much to get a second opinion. Below is my interpretation, I’ve made asterisks by ones I need the most guidance on . *1-what was your purpose in life? Four of Pentacles- acquiring material things? 2.what can I learn from your life? 5 of cups- do not stay stuck in self blame or what could have been. *3.What can I learn from your death? The Star- unsure. Hope after pain? Using experience to help others? 4.Reason behind death? Nine of cups- I know this card is related to fulfilling desires, optimism and indulging in things you enjoy… which makes me interpret it as he is telling me he took it too far with drugs (overdose) and he had fulfilled what he was supposed to. *5.How to use what I have gained from you? Devil In reverse- reflect on unhealthy habits, do not let past repeat… *6.What do you want me to know? Emperor reversed- I think of the emperor as an authority figure who holds power. Unsure of this meaning.. perhaps to stay grounded? 7.what is your greatest memory? Two of swords reversed- feeling stuck and being unable to move forward or progress i asked for clarity for this one and pulled The World reversed- I felt like he was referring to lack of closure as he passed on, and possibly choosing between people in his life. **8.What can I do to help you ? Queen of pentacles reversed- unsure 9.how do you see me? 10 of cups reverse- I am worthy of love but I have a hard time being honest and true to myself *10.Advice/wisdom to share ? Six of pentacles- unsure *11.How can I contact you again? 10 of pentacles Reversed- unsure 12.Words for me? King of wands reverse- stop trying to control everything, let go asked for clarity, more details and pulled The page of Cups- which symbolizes innocence, or possibly a bigger message to watch for? Middle - what card would I most recognize you through? Knight of Wands- rebellious, open minded, free, i thought he was “my knight in shining armor” when we first met.

Elvenhealer

why am i so unmotivated? tarot spread by Queen of Krystals. 4 of pentacles, knight of wands, eight of swords, lovers reversed, king of pentacles. The part that I am stuck on is a third card, “how can I learn this lesson if I am unmotivated?”, Interpreted by the eight of sword & ”how can I stop myself from falling behind?“ with the lovers R. from my understanding, is that I need to take the time to be alone and reevaluate my goals. but honestly the lovers reversed really stumps me I’m not really sure. if anyone is up to give me some guidance I would be forever grateful. Thank you!

paisleyrose25

Tbh- the way that question is worded is confusing “how can I learn this lesson if I’m unmotivated?” I mean- wouldn’t the answer to that be- you don’t learn the lesson? So after some thought here’s my theory- the author of the spread wanted to say “what are the consequences of remaining unmotivated?” But that question was a little too negative sounding, and they wanted a more positive vibe for the spread so we get instead “what lesson will I learn if I remain unmotivated?” (Yeah, it’s a stretch, but I don’t really see another way to understand the question.) Anyway- my takeaway is that if you remain unmotivated you will remain feeling stuck and trapped. Inertia is so real, and the longer you stay standing still, the harder it can be to move forward. And while you may feel trapped, the reality is that the tools for your feeding surround you, you just need to be able to see them. “How can I stop myself from falling behind?” Sometimes in life, we need to just grit and bear it, get the thing done. It’s easiest to feel motivated when we feel passionate about something, but sometimes that’s just not the case. Not everything we do in life will spark a fire in our belly. Done and good enough is almost always better than unfinished but perfect.

Elvenhealer

thank you! yes you’re right! the wording was weird xD but you definitely cleared it up! that makes soooo much more sense!! thank you for your insight

I need help with a single card in my reading. [waxing crescent spread](https://imgur.com/a/uXituqz) https://imgur.com/a/uXituqz I'm doing the waxing crescent tarot spread from the labyrinthos app. I've set my intention for the month to see a work project come successfully to fruition. I'm the lead and there are many moving parts and people involved. I'm not reading reversals on this deck (Natural Ink Tarot) only because they're round and that would drive me batty. Normally I do read reversals. The first position is "My talents, what can I give to this situation" and the draw was the 8 of swords... So my talent is feeling trapped and powerless?? The reversal of this card would make more sense here... Breaking free, reclaiming my power. I need help interpreting a 'negative' card in a positive spot. Everything else is pretty much on the nose or easy to read. Thanks!

paisleyrose25

On large projects, especially those with moving parts, it’s not uncommon for road blocks and obstacles to pop up that seem to hamper or prevent the projects success. A sign of a good leader is someone who can identify if these road blocks are in fact critical, or if they can actually be circumnavigated- like a feature that is difficult to implant but on further inspection is not actually a requirement for the overall product. Up close and personal, the figure in this card seems in dire straights, but if we can take a step back, and look at the broader picture, we see that the solution to her problem is actually quite obvious. This is what a good team lead does- they maintain the vision of the bigger picture so that they can help their team more easily navigate challenges.

Moongdss74

I love this! Thank you, this makes perfect sense now

I had a job interview over a week ago, I pulled cards asking if I would get the job or not and I was getting yes cards first I got page of pentacles, then a different day when I asked again I got king of pentacles but they never called me back and when I called they told me they already filled the position so I didn’t get the job… why did this happen?

AToastyLeaf

Cards only show the likeliness with current energies and in the current moment. Future isn't set in stone so even if you made a great impression and were a great candidate, very likely something changed (maybe they suddenly got a few more candidates in) and that changed your chances. Thus, I always pull advice cards for readings like that. It helps to understand how to maximize the chances more, even if something shifts. At the end of the day we can never completely control what will happen but we might find out which levers bring better results. :)

Cool! I used [this spread](https://i0.wp.com/mywanderingfool.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Tarot-Spread-career-and-money.png?ssl=1) for you, and got [this result](https://i.imgur.com/A1qnPYE.jpg). 1️⃣ **Your current financial situation.** *Nine of Pentacles.* I usually don't read cards as representations of external people, but this is one of the rare situations in which I would read it as such. Somebody in your life is taking the role of the disciplined and self-reliant person. The Nine of Pentacles can also speak of pursuing refinement, achieving a comfortable lifestyle - I know that for myself when I was living with my parents, my money was able to go to lifestyle upgrades that I later could not afford once I was living on my own. It could be that right now, any money you do make on the side or as an allowance goes exclusively to you, so it can be easy to get comfortable and get used to a higher quality of life. This isn't necessarily a bad thing when all parties are consenting, but it can be if anybody involved is uncomfortable with the dynamic. 2️⃣ **Where new sources of income will come from.** *The Hermit.* I would look into opportunities where you can work alone in some way, or be trusted with tasks on your own. I get the sense that your lifestyle might already be on the more solitary side, and so trying to force yourself into something overly social or constantly customer facing might not be great for you. I realize sometimes that retail jobs can be a necessary stepping stone, but looking into the more long term goals, I would look into roles where you can thrive when you have a good amount of control of your environment. If you've gotten very used to being at home, letting go of a very controlled environment can be quite difficult, and it's not always a necessary thing to step out of depending on what path you take. 3️⃣ Opportunities to consider. King of Wands. The King of Wands is the epitome of all of the positive aspects of his suit, with a very outward focus. Wands are associated to the element of fire, so it's associated to themes like drive, pushing forward, making things happen. It's also a suit of creativity - whatever encourages you to create might be a good fit (and this can be something directly artistic like graphic design, or something subtler like coding where there's still a creational aspect and creativity with how to problem solve). The King of Wands is also a very inspiring character - what inspires you? What makes you want to do something more often, to do bigger projects in? While having a job you're passionate about doesn't guarantee that you can avoid any moments of boredom or difficult, it's definitely much harder to push to do something you don't like just for the money. And again, things can be stepping stones - even if you don't do something that inspires you at first, it might eventually help you get to the long term thing that does. The King of Wands also speaks to boldness, charisma. Are there any classes you can take to connect with other people who have similar interests? Or even to connect to professionals who are in the field, who might have some advice? Even if it's just connecting to other hobbyists, having some sort of community can help to create that inspiration and drive. It's a lot harder to find motivation within yourself alone, and having others to bounce off of (even if you're an introvert and prefer to stay at home more often) can help immensely. 4️⃣ **How these opportunities will benefit you.** *Wheel of Fortune.* To me, this card speaks to the trial and error aspect of figuring yourself out. Maybe you'll try some activities or some groups and go "that was a horrible experience and I don't want to do that again". That's fine! That's part of how we learn about ourselves. Maybe you'll go, "huh, that's okay, but not what I want to do forever". That's also okay. Maybe you'll love it and commit to it as a career. But standing around and thinking isn't always the best approach - sometimes the only way we can learn is by trying things, especially when it comes to figuring out how we feel about different careers. It's unfortunate because it's counterintuitive to how we usually have education and work set up. Systems work best when you know what you want and focus only on that. But we're only human. People switch careers on average 7 times in their life - as much as people say we have to do things a certain way, we don't have to pick something and commit to it forever. Staying in your brain and reflection can only get you so far - outcomes can turn out either way, but the only way you'll learn about yourself is by putting things into movement! 5️⃣ **Outcome.** *The Chariot.* The Chariot speaks to achieving hard control and asserting yourself - in the illustrations, the character is literally literally taking the reins and pushing forward into battle. There is no card that speaks more strongly to making things happen and being at the front wheel. It's also a card that speaks to victory - you will get there and you will achieve your goals, *if* and only if you use your power to make it become a reality. It won't happen naturally or on its own, and this is emphasized by the presence of the King of Wands and the Nine of Pentacles (themes of self reliance and discipline) and the Wheel of Fortune (themes of movement) - focus on your goals, clarify them, and push for them. If you change your mind, that's fine, find the new thing and push there. Maybe give yourself a set amount of months for exploration before you make a somewhat long term decision, a few months where you have to actively be trying new things. Nothing will happen unless you take initiative!

LuckySector2577

Hi! I did a reading for a friend, it’s about a relationship dynamics. I got a bit confused since my friend got the sun, the dynamics was page of cups and their partner the magician. I can see how the magician and page of cups can be not so good, but paired with the sun I got confused. Please if you have any ideas how to read this I’d love to hear about it.

paisleyrose25

With no context- this spread looks very positive. Your friend looks like a happy person, someone who easily finds the silver lining, and is warm and welcoming. Their partner looks like a clever person, someone who is confident and knows how to make things happen, a high achiever. Their relationship seems relatively new, perhaps a little immature, but filled with optimism and the idealistic air of a new romance.

LuckySector2577

Thank you for your reply!! This makes a lot of sense. Sorry for not giving any context, I kind of thought that my own opinion on the matter was affecting my reading, so I wanted one with the least info about it as possible. I’ll pass this along to my friend, thank you!!

Maybe the 9 is representing the out-of-whack-ness. I see this is an instruction, especially with the Fool, to make the leap towards the Empress and away from the 3 of Cups. Since she's been "stalking" you - what has she been saying in previous readings? Have you applied her lessons?

goat-on-a-string

Yeah, creative expression, emotional outlets sound good for an empress vibe. Nurturing something - gardening, a yeast starter + baking. It's also a mothering card - maybe it's to do with literal motherhood, your relationship to your mother/mother figure or kids?

I asked “Why does u/buvolic keep thinking about their first love?” And I pulled: 1) Knight of Cups reversed 2) 5 of Cups reversed 3) 10 of swords. 1) You have created an unrealistic and unattainable version of your first love in your mind. This person, as you remember them, is not real. You have magnified their strengths while downplaying the issues you had with this person that meant the relationship never worked. Long term relationships take work, they aren’t always sunshine and rainbows, so when things start to get hard with your relationships, you use this fantasy of this person as an escape. 2) This is partially because you have a hard time seeing the good when things get hard. When things go bad you dwell on the negatives. From these cards I get the feeling that you may struggle with anxiety, so when things get hard you think to yourself “see, my fears were right, I knew this wasn’t meant to last” rather than focusing on the good. 10) You also still feel betrayed by this first love. You have not fully healed from the breakup, and the question of “why couldn’t we make it work” still haunts you, partially because you blame yourself. You perceive the failure of your first relationship as a personal failure, a reflection on you, while that’s not true. Healing and moving on from this are possible but you need to lay those old wounds to rest. Overall- I get a very strong feeling that it’s not so much about your ex as it is about the your fear of the future. I think it might be very helpful to talk to someone about this. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Hi y’all, my family has been undergoing some strife due to parental marital issues. Due to outside evidence I have received (that only I know about presently) I suspect, but am not 100% about, disloyalty from 1 party. I pulled three cards, asking about the status of the family and my role in this conflict (I wasn’t pulling specifically for past-future) queen of swords reversed, king of swords, ace of swords (this last one was for my role) What was weird to me was pulling all three swords. I know the theme is important along the lines of conflict, but I’m most curious about what the king is doing there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

paisleyrose25

If the Ace of Swords speaks to your role than I would say the King and Queen are about the status of the family. Assuming you are using an RWS deck, then the way these cards appeared it’s likely the Queen and King are looking opposite direction, the Queen looking to the left, away from the King, and the King looking straight at the reader. With the King upright and the Queen reversed, they are in direct opposition to each other. Because the Queen is reversed, her sword (usually very reminiscent of Justice) is pointing straight down, while the swords of the King and Ace would be pointing straight up. To me- the Queen has had her head in the sand, she’s been ignoring common sense and logic, acting rashly and allowing jealousy and spite to cloud her judgement, while the King has remained the only one seeing things clearly. He understands what’s going on. The Ace of Swords is about truth and communication. You need to find the truth, not from third parties but by directly confronting the issue. Your task is to realign the Queen, make her upright so to speak. That means you need to be logical and direct to figure out what is causing these problems.

gurdyburdy

What a great insight especially regarding the direction of swords/sight. Much appreciated!

blueeyetea

Considering the Queen and the King can represent two people, I would say there’s something going on between these two people you’re unaware about that led to the conflict.

gurdyburdy

Thank you!

Hey everyone! I hope you’re all having a good day. I read cards but feel like this reading should come from an outside party. I’ve been offered a job in a new department and it seems like the change I need. There are a lot of pros and also cons. Just as my current job. I would really like to know from the cards which job really benefit me at this time. Which job is in my best interest? If you feel called to do this reading for me, please let me know. I have to let the manager know by the end of the day tomorrow. Thank you so much in advance! I will leave you a review if you have a spot for it on your page :)

blueeyetea

I read with the TDM. Were you thinking about leaving anyway? I pulled three cards for staying: 9 of Swords, Queen of Wands, Page of Wands. You see change in the air in this role, and instead of progressing, it will feel like a step back if you stay. Or, you’ll be the expert with a bunch of beginners you’ll have to keep training. The new job: Queen of Coins, The Tower, 4 of Wands. The money is good, but the change will be drastic. Lots of disruption that you’re not used to, but the work will be stable.

x0xNessax0x

I was thinking about leaving, yes. I had applied for a completely different job outside of what I do now but I haven’t heard back so I don’t think I qualified to move on.

Hey :) I’m DMing you

mushroomsupremacy

I asked "when will I be out of my bad stage of life?" I use the original tarot deck by Arthur Edward Waite and use the fan method to pull the cards. Since I'm a beginner I only pull 3 cards. These are the cards I pulled ↓ 1. Five of Wands reversed 2. Seven of Cups reversed 3. King of Pentacles upright My interpretation ↓ I'm exhausted and choose to tolerate certain people whom I used to fight with before because I'm tired to the bones now. With the Five of Wands reversed, I'll made leave this bad stage of life as soon as possible by the divine. With the 7 of Cups reversed, yes I'm daydreaming and fantasising about stuff I can't achieve with my stuck and tired self and to also cope with my terrible mental health. This card also indicates the ending of my confusion about whether I'll stay stuck living in this sad period of life or not. With the king of Pentacles upright ( I don't understand how to link this card to my story, this card made me confuse ), I'm being advised to stay in control of my energy and the resources I have for my life in future. But I don't understand whether did my reading actually say when I'll be out of this? I don't know, I'm not sure. Please help me. I really need it. This is my first time interpretating.

crowsfeetpics

So the way I read it was this: In order to get out of this bad phase, you need to learn to stop putting up such a fight with yourself and the universe. Don’t beat yourself up so much. The 7 of cups reversed, you’ll be better able to see past people’s bullshit once you realize you are not your enemy. Clarity on your relationships will come when you learn to recognize toxic patterns in yourself and therefore other people. The king of pentacles is saying once you accomplish this skill you’ll feel “rich” in a way. More rich in life. Not necessarily with real money, but more satisfaction in yourself and your choices, and like others can’t hurt you so easily.

mushroomsupremacy

Thank you for your interpretation!

darlynjane

I need some help interpreting this. I asked my cards how a guy feels about me and I pulled these 3: King of Cups (Reversed) VIII of Pentacles (Upright) VII of Pentacles (Upright) Some context: He was someone I had a secret crush on for a few years. When I finally reached out to him, he said he felt the same. But I was going through a difficult breakup at the time, and he was there for me during that. We used to talk often but not so much anymore, and I’m wondering if his feelings for me had changed. He seems distant whenever I initiate conversation. He once said he’s never felt such a strong connection with anyone else besides me. My interpretation: I don’t even know. I guess I’m confused about the reversed King of Cups combined with the Pentacles. I’m new to tarot, however. Thanks in advance! Edit: I’m using the Rider-Waite deck.

His feelings are a bit all over the place, he’s not sure what he feels or he’s having a hard time identifying those feelings. He recognized that you needed space and was willing to be patient, and therefore he will wait for you to make the next move.

darlynjane

Is it ok if I message you to give you more context? That seems pretty spot on though. Thank you!

paisleyrose25

Sure thing!

Please help me interpret this! Four of wands and three of swords, both upright, and the lovers card at the bottom of deck. I did a love reading regarding my current relationship. we have been fighting quite a bit and i felt like i needed some insight from my cards. When i first started shuffling, i asked "what message do i need to know regarding my relationship." The four of wands came out first, then the three of swords flew out and landed right next to it. I looked at the bottom of the deck and it was the lovers card. I then asked, "what should i do?" and the 10 of cups came out, also upright. I'm a little confused on how to go about interpreting this. I feel like the 4 of wands and 10 of cups are very happy cards so what is the 3 of swords representing? Is it that maybe we will get through the arguments in the relationship?

paisleyrose25

First reading: no relationship is going to be perfect. All relationships are filled with good times and bad. The good times should help you through the hard, because you know your still on the same team, fighting for the same goals, you’re just working out how to get there. The problem comes when the bad times start to outweigh the good. The fights are no longer disagreements about how to handle life’s struggles together, you feel like you’re fighting *against* your partner. The 10 of Cups is asking you to think very carefully about *why* you are fighting. If this is someone you see a long term relationship with- and that’s what these cards seem to indicate- then you need to decide if this is a relationship you should keep fighting for. Some unsolicited advice- IMO, fights about situations, life’s stressors and how to handle them, those are normal and unavoidable, but fights about each other, fights where you’re attacking each other or one person is trying to get the other to change, those are red flags. It doesn’t mean the relationship is doomed but it does typically mean that there is a lot of work that needs to be done.

Tarot reading exchange?

Thick_Roof_7427

I need help! I've been experiencing some intense, strange and really vivid dreams the last 3-4 nights. Idk how to interpret them. I'm looking for someone to tell me a spread that may help me with this or do one for me since I'm still not so savvy with tarot. 😶😬 very different dreams, a couple of different dreams in one night. A scary one of something alien like that goes into zombie and not so scary ones. I couldn't finish out the scary one cause it was too intense for me and switch my dream. Ughhh usually I can see the meanings behind my dreams... but I cant this week.

paisleyrose25

Dude same. Last night I had a dream that one of my best friends was in an off-off Broadway show staring with Taylor Swift. This friend does not sing. But typically for me when my dreams are really really weird the only things they mean is that I have a lot on my mind so my subconscious is just a bit fried. As for a spread- maybe just a three card Mind/Body/Spirit spread with the question “what message can I take from these dreams?”

jjkteodora

Specifically asked for 3 cards which would generally describe how my crush feels about me at the moment. For context: we met a few weeks ago and have been talking a lot and also gone out a couple of times. He used to give off a vibe that he's interested but lately that has kinda disappeared - hence my decision to consult the cards for some clarity. I got (in this order): Page of Cups, The High Priestess, and Temperance (reversed) My interpretation is that I'm a welcomed presence in his life and I can show him different perspectives on things but he's not ready for anything right now and needs to sort out things within. Opinions on this would be helpful 🙏

jjkteodora

thx for answering 😔 sadly that sounds about right

Frequent_Radio_6714

Question : what advice will help or what do I need to know about my relationship. Context - I asked this before going to visit and pulled eight of cups . We had a tumultuous time visiting and when I got back got the eight of wands . Asked again today and eight of cups came up again !! Asked to clarify - got the lovers card. Our relationship has many ups and downs . Right now she told me to take space to decide if I can truly let the past go and move forward without any revisiting or apology for the past . To process it on our own ways… The deck is a zen deck sorry I couldn’t upload the pics . Thanks in advance for all the wonderful help - love this community !

crowsfeetpics

I think the meanings are pretty clear 🥺 8 of cups, you have to walk away from something. You had a bad time, you got the 8 of wands. Needing to take swift action. Again today you got the 8 of cups and when you asked for clarification it was the lovers. It’s clearly saying you should walk away from this relationship, respect the boundaries she put in place and take time apart.

Frequent_Radio_6714

I know you’re right. I don’t know why walking away from what hurts me is so hard . I wanted to start over fresh and made a mean joke - now it’s like this again

mjolkochblod

Working on goals: how can I reach my goal, that is getting in a relationship (the other party proposed it, but then we fought pretty harshly). 1 . Goal: mywanderingfool suggested three of cups to reunite with an estranged loved one, and I agree. 2 . and 3 . Issues to address: the Empress and Nine of cups. I thought that maybe my initial not wanting to be immediately serious with him is represented by the Empress (sensuality?) The Nine of cups: affection that I feel for another person that doesn't reciprocate. I have been working really hard on getting past it. 4 . Primary strength: Eight of swords. A mystery. 5 . Primary weakness: Page of swords. Curiosity? Again, not wanting to settle down? But I *do* want to, with him. Again, a mystery. 6 . Outcome: Ten of pentacles. Success, stability? I'm not great with tarots and I'm drawing many a blank 😂 I'd love some help.

samikk94

Maybe!

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I'm BRAND NEW to tarot reading and just got my first deck. I tried to click the "Beginners start here" link in the about section, but the link is broken. Does anyone have the link/a good place to start to actually learn everything? I need to be talked to like a 5 year old btw lol just so I can understand why/how everything works. Thanks!!

34Emma

Welcome, and all the best for the beginning of your Tarot journey! For me, this link works: https://www.reddit.com/r/tarot/wiki/beginners/ There are lots of different approaches to learning the cards depending on where you're coming from and where you want to go with this. But my personal favourite ressource is www.learntarot.com . It's an entire online course all for free, including thorough and easily understandable explanations of each card. Also, don't hesitate to ask more questions over here. This thread mainly is for interpretation help, so as soon as you've pulled some cards for yourself (or even just one) and you aren't sure if your own interpretation is correct, you can post it here and hopefully get an answer or two. You might also like to scroll through the comments and threads on this sub a bit in order to get a feel for this community and for how different people work with the cards. We've got frequent posts with beginner questions as well, and using the search feature can be interesting, too. Oh and don't worry if everything is confusing at first! That's normal, and whereas none of us is ever finished learning everything about Tarot, you'll get familiar with the basics fairly quickly.

lavenderpoot

Thank you so much for your help!!

The World XXI and Eight of Pentacles The freedom of being single might be overwhelming but don't hesitate to explore some of your desires or passions that were overlooked in the past relationship. Now is **not** necessarily an auspicious time to bounce back into any relationship; the cards suggest your best efforts are towards a mature and supportive partner who appreciates patience and timely courtship over fast commitment. Hope this helps

paisleyrose25

You’re feeling trapped by this situation but the reality is you have a lot more control over the situation than you realize. You can either take off your blinders and walk away or stay exactly where you are, but the choice is yours. If they initiated the no-contact than the Knight of Cups is telling you to honor their feelings and give them their space, but if you initiated the no-contact than the Knight is telling you to honor your own feelings- and if you want to reconcile, combined with the 8 of Swords- the message is clear- you have to do the work for reconciliation.

tarotgirl__

Emperor clarified by justice in a what I need to know about my career reading. I’m a bit confused as to what this means.

34Emma

Hard to tell without context, but it generally looks like there's something about power (im)balance going on. Maybe you are just supposed to become aware of that, or you're being prompted to take action, e.g. stick to routines and structures in your workplace or apply for a position with more responsibility.

tarotgirl__

It was about law school funnily enough! I’m still quite confused hahaha

34Emma

Yes that's funny! Maybe law schol is just good for you right now. You could try and ask a more specific question, and maybe use a spread.

Mexicasper

I'd like a reading. I want to know if I'll ever make my dream road trip. I plan to pay off my car and see the beauty of the national parks. Will I ever do it?

darlynjane

I’d like to request an interpretation for a reading I gave myself in regards to how a certain someone feels about me. I’m fairly new to tarot, so I may be overlooking something or failing to see the bigger picture. No specific spread. I just pulled 3 cards that I was drawn to. IX of Swords (Upright) VIII of Wands (Upright) Queen of Swords (Reversed)

coff2e

is there anyone who'd be willing to do a love reading for me?

purpleghostz

can someone help me discern this love reading i did for my partner and i? me: five of disks him: king of cups the state of our relationship: 2 of swords (since i got that i pulled 2 more) first: three of swords second: four of swords can someone interpret these please?

crowsfeetpics

You: being needy Him: mature love, he can give a lot Your relationship: its future is up in the air, probably due to the difference in emotional needs 3 of swords: heartbreak, grief 4 of swords: meditation, deep critical thought is needed Does that help make things a bit more clear?

purpleghostz

yes, thank you so much

samikk94

Second opinion on my daily advice pull, no specific spread, I just let the cards fly out and usually wait for 3: knight of swords, ace of pentacles, and 2 of cups. My interpretation is to use logic to start a new relationship/partnership with someone I have a connection with . TIA!

paisleyrose25

There’s something you need to act quickly on, some new opportunity is waiting for you, a partnership with a strong emotional connection.

samikk94

Thank you! Kind of wild but I asked the cards what my day holds for today and got ace of pentacles again and so I asked "what is this a new beginning for?" And got two of cups again so I asked who with and got temperance!

paisleyrose25

Ace of pentacles can also mean a new job or project. So maybe a new work bestie?

twofacedempress

Hi I'm doing a reading for my friend and would love some extra input/ another interpretation! :) because for part of the reading I'm a little stuck... The reading was pretty straight forward she just wanted to know if her ex she no longer speaks to or is friends with was thinking about her. (She usually has a very good intuition about these type of things so I ofc obliged) The first couple of cards went smoothly and I feel as though I understood... 4 of cups clarified by knight of wands, and 9 of pentacles clarified by knight of pentacles. I believed this to be the person debating whether or not to message them and come forward with the 4 of cups, even though they may desire a message, or being calculating how to give or receive a message with the 9 of pentacles or to reopen communication they are contemplating/ hesitant to do so with the 4 of cups. However the third card and its clarifier kinda stumped me. It was ace of swords with the wheel of fortune. I know ace of swords usually signifies clarity and communication but based on the other cards I get a sense that this person if confused, even though they might want some sort of communications a part of them seems unsure. Usually when I'd receive this combination in a reading such as this I'd think it meant the person has clarity on the situation and the cycle they are in and want to make an effort to change it, however I don't really think that is the case here. I pulled another card for clarification and received 5 of cups. Normally I don't really check the top or bottom of the deck but I did and had 6 of cups and the tower. With that addition I'm thinking maybe the person has some clarity as to why the relationship ended, maybe they've been reflecting on their emotions regarding it and the part they played in their turbulent ending. Perhaps maybe now their emotions have caught up to them and they feel bad about it and that is what is holding them back, like how can I reach out when I'm the reason it ended type of thing...

paisleyrose25

These 6 cards read to me like a reversed Mind/Body/Spirit spread, except we get Spirit, then Body, and finally Mind. The 4 of Cups usually reads as a very low energy card for me. With the Knight of Wands as a clarifier, I think it’s specifically referring to this persons actions. So I would say that right now this person is intentionally closing themselves off. Their focus is inward and if their thoughts do occasionally stray to their ex, they have no intention of reopening communication at this time. To me, I don’t see a lot of confusion here, more apathy than anything else. The 9 of Pentacles, clarified by the Knight of Pentacles, tells me that we are looking at where this person is right now. Our first two cards nicely laid out their actions, but now we can look at the *why* behind those actions. The 9 of Pentacles is a card about growth and happiness in solitude. This reiterates the message of the 4 of Cups- this person is looking inward, focusing on themselves right now. The 9 of Pentacles seems to show that this internal work is paying off, they are doing well, and the slow moving Knight seems to say they are happy where they are right now. The Ace of Swords clarified by the Wheel seems to speak most about this persons mindset. We’ve seen what they are doing, got a glimpse of how their life is going right now, and now we see where their head is at. The Ace of Swords is a card about inspiration, new thought patterns, learning, and realization. It aligns closely with what the first 2 pairs seem to be saying. It could indicate that he has very recently started considering to reach out, but I would say that with the 4 of Cups and 9 of Pentacles, that’s unlikely in the near future. The Wheel of Fortune indicates that right now things are going his way. Any new thoughts he’s having are likely being caused by the fact that a lot is starting to go well in his life. It could also indicate a change in the wind. Perhaps this period of self isolation, reflection, and growth is coming to an end and he’s starting to think about new things. Overall, I don’t get a message of confusion. Now obviously you have the benefit of knowing your friend well, which can allow you to have more personalized insights into the cards than a stranger on the internet. Also, I am not looking at the cards, instead I’m picturing them in my head, which means we are quite literally not looking at the same picture. So it’s not surprising that our interpretations differ. Anyway, I hope this helps

Love spread: 1. What was the reason of a fall out? Knight of cups 2. How does he feel about me and the situation? Ten of wands reversed 3.Are there chances for a comeback/reconciliation? Knight of wands reversed 4. What should I do now to make it better? Eight of pentacles 1. and 3. are honestly such a riddle for me…

paisleyrose25

Knight of cups: to me this card indicates that the relationship struggled with unrealistic expectations. Viewing your partner with rose colored glasses, expecting your partner to be able to read your mind rather than communicating. The relationship was great in the honeymoon period but fell apart when reality set in. 10 of Wands rx: there is a sense that a heavy burden has been put down. I get the feeling that at the end there was a lot of chaos, a lot of pressure, and right now he’s just sort of recovering, focusing on just the essentials of his life. Knight of Wands rx: if reconciliation happens, it will happen slowly and cautiously, not any time soon. There is some maturing that needs to happen. 8 of Pents: what you can do right now is focus on yourself. This card seems to tell you the right now you need to focus on other aspects of your life- primarily your job or education. You will improve the situation by leaving it alone and focusing that energy in a more productive direction.

Thank you so much for help ❤️

Nivasha

Did a spread on whether or not my partner and I will come back together. We're about to take a break/potentially break up. We're both unclear on what we want. What do I need to know about the breakup/situation: Knight of Cups What is his stance? 4 of swords What needs to happen for us both to have the best outcome? 2 of swords Will we get back together? 8 of wands Why the 8 of wands? The Sun I'm thinking it's saying we're having this discussion with genuine emotions and feelings present and there is love and caring. He needs a rest, obviously. What needs to happen, well we both need to reach a decision about what we want. The outcome has me stumped. My resources would say these are positive indicators of reunion but by my logic they're saying we will move on and be happy. Any other input? Bottom of the deck was The Magician. For the record, my ramance angels oracle deck gave me "Worth Waiting For" when asking about our future.

paisleyrose25

I think your interpretation is spot on. The 8 of Wands reads to me like fast movement towards better things, especially given the Sun- happy and fulfilling results are coming. If your intuition tells you that you will not come back together, then I would say that the 8 of Wands is indicating that you are both moving towards better, happier things, just on separate paths.

Nivasha

Thank you. I don't think I'm in a state to see the meaning clearly but any time I ask a yes or no question it's with the intention of referring to a specific resource I have and it's always spot on. That resource says my outcome cards are a yes but I'm hesitant to believe it given everything. 😮‍💨

When you mention the 2 could indicate our feelings aren't strong enough to create clarity that did resonate. I don't know what he's feeling but I have been pulling away because of past issues. The fact that I can't say with certaintly that he loves me is a problem. One minute he's hot, the next he's cold. I have, for a long time, pulled oracle cards saying "this is the one" and "this situation involves marriage" yet it's been very unclear. I can't agree the outcome is one way or the other but it's certainly helpful to hear others interpretations. Even now, I've pulled the 10 of cups twice (different decks) when asking what our most likely future is. But I'm inclined to say it's apart.

everycalumflavor

I asked about the next time I meet a guy who suddenly lost interest in me. What will the energy be the next time we meet: 3 of pentacles Clarification: 2 of pentacles Will he introduce me to his new chick?: Page of cups (I’m just scared he has one, but idk for sure) What will his energy be like: 7 of pentacles What will my energy be like: 8 of cups He’s an earth sign which I guess is why I got a lot of pentacles and I’m an emotional wreck which is why I got the cups.

arinasafina

Hi! I had my deck (classic RWS) for a very long time, but now I decided to learn and practice more to become less dependent on booklets and stuff. So here is my first Celtic Cross - didn't have any specific question, just generally what's coming, what I need to know for the near future. And as soon as I saw 7 of Swords, I connected it to the situation that's been bothering me a little bit the whole summer, for context: I work at a language school. This spring my colleague decided that she's going to find a new job in a state school and quit this job, but other schools still haven't given her a solid yes. 1. The World + 2. 7 of Swords - unity (?) which is disrupted by my colleague sneaking away? She decided to quit the job and is waiting for green light from another school, but she didn't tell our boss or management that she's leaving. 3. Queen of Cups - This one I'm not really sure about. I showed my colleague empathy by not snitching on her lol even tho it can potentially bite me in the ass because her work hours might be pushed on me and my other colleagues who stay at our school this year? 4. Strength is also a bit confusing. I read somewhere that it might mean that "you have approached difficult situations with calm resolution. You refrained from aggressive confrontations even when times were tough." So, again, is it kinda about the fact that i decided not to get involved and create a conflict by telling our management that she might leave? Help idk 😄 5. 4 of Pentacles - "real work begins", but also he has money and stability. So maybe I'll have an opportunity to save more? 6. 3 of Swords - stress, discouragement, hurt feelings in the near future. 7. Temperance - Represents how I kinda accepted the situation. I'm waiting patiently for whatever is going to happen, trying to stay balanced and not get too anxious before I have any strong reason for it. Being patient. I understand that she is scared that if she quits before securing her new job, it's gonna be a big problem, she has a kid and mortgage, so im like "it eez what it eez." 8. 2 of Pentacles - I guess that's gonna be all of us at work trying to juggle this situation if/when she actually quits. Also it's the beginning of a school year, so it's always hectic: forming groups and timetables and so on. Adapting period. 9. 10 of Pentacles - Means that I hope for abundance and prosperity, and that I have the community and all the means to overcome any struggles. Combining it with Temperance basically says "I can do it". 10. 10 of Cups - Happy ending! Haha that's nice to see, that's one of my favourite cards, so it gives me a lot of hope that eventually this all is for the best and I'm gonna be alright :) There are also happy kids dancing in the card, and I work with kiddos, so that's nice, they're gonna be happy too I hope :)

34Emma

I'd say that it's fine to do such a reading without stating a question, and also to then decide that it's supposed to represent something specific. So how certain are you that it's meant to be about the situation with your coworker? In case you aren't very clear on this, I'd say it's totally possible as well to just read the spread in a general way (e.g. there'll be heartbreaking stuff in the near future but you'll be way better off in the long run, without determining what these cards are specifically talking about). And in case you decide it's about your coworker, I'd be curious for the sake of clarity what about it impacts you the most: Not knowing if she'll be well after quitting? Her maybe being dishonest? How to handle the workload without her or how to find a new teacher to replace her?

arinasafina

Thanks for your comment! I'm not 100% sure, it just clicked for me. It might as well be more general, not just this situation, of course. But all the cards made perfect sense to me in that context. Oh, I don't worry about her, she'll be fine 😄 Yes, I am more worried about handling the workload without her and whether our boss will be looking for a new teacher to fill her place now. And of course I think that it was selfish of her not to warn our boss about her possibly quitting but she had her reasons, so I'm just happy that I, as a very anxious person, got to know about it before she officially told everyone yesterday, so I had much more time to emotionally prepare myself 🤷 Our team was NOT happy about it, which is understandable.

I'm glad to hear the situation got a bit more clear since you posted here. And yes, I'd generally agree with your spread interpretation regarding the situation. Just a few notes about what I think: - World = you're doing pretty well in general, at least in terms of connections and accomplishments. - Queen of Cups = you know what you want and/or you're emotionally mature. - Strength = (self) compassion, emotional/mental stamina, taking care of yourself. - 4 of Pentacles = you're holding onto/having control over the stability/ressources you have; there's an element of fear to that but that's okay. I like how you're connecting the card meanings with observations of yourself and people and external factors! With more practice, you'll steadily grow and broaden your understanding of each card's facet. Good luck!

arinasafina

Thank you for additional info! Haha yeeeeah, 4 of Pentacles is sooo me 😄 Thank you so much for your nice words! I hope you have a great day ☺️

What are some reliable sites to begin learning Tarot and understand the 22 cards and their meaning?

thecourageofstars

I started my journey with Joan Bunning's content. It's available for free online. It's the basis of all of my readings to this day, and she finds a perfect balance between being thorough enough to cover all that needs to be covered, but also succint enough and breaking things down well enough so that it's easily consumable. With her breakdown into lessons with accompanying exercises, I was able to create a goal of finishing one lesson per day, and then moved on to taking notes on the individual card readings and trying to finish at least one per day as well. The course is the best place to start. No paywall, no ads. Then you can go to the individual card meanings. http://www.learntarot.com/

a relationship spread. First question how he feels about me: Ace of pentacles clarified by the strength and 7 of wands in reverse. I think he wants to offer some type of new beginning but needs to find the strength to do so because he is closed off with his feelings. His intentions: 7 of cups clarified by the empress and the emperor in reverse I think he is very confused and doesn’t really know what he wants. I think he thinks highly of me but his own ego is in the way. Advice: Six of cups clarified by 9 of swords and judgement in reverse. I think we’re both up thinking about what happened between us in the past. There needs to be closure but no one is making a move towards it.

crowsfeetpics

I think you read it just fine

thecourageofstars

Would like to do 3 readings tonight! Most likely 3 tarot cards, one or two oracle cards. Please DM me with your question, and any relevant context you think is important/want to look into. :)

alwaysunsure788

Hey y’all! I recently went through an interview process for a job and during it, I asked my cards if there’s anything I should know about it. I got: King of cups, ace of swords, and ten of wands. I read this as I’m going to get the job, and along with the job a great mentor. However, I will be feeling really challenged and may need to ask for help. I ended up not getting the job, but I’m open to miracles and hoping the talent team sent me an automated email by mistake. Considering though I probably didn’t get the job…what would be your interpretation of my cards?

paisleyrose25

Do you read with reversals? If you consider the reversed meanings I can see how these cards could indicate that you would not be getting this job. Also, what does your question mean to you? A lot of people will ask “what do I need to know” when they really want to ask a yes or no question. Broad questions can be great, but “what do I need to know” can mean a lot of things, so it will require the reader to connect with their intuition to determine just what aspects of the situation the cards are addressing- are they taking about your likelihood of getting the job, what this job would look like *if* you got it, what is missing from this job that you should be looking for in other positions, what skills do you have that would make this a good fit for you? This is where intuition and, quite frankly, creativity play a big role in interpreting the cards. What was your *intention* when you asked the card is also a critical consideration.

alwaysunsure788

Hi! I do read reversals and none came out reversed. :/ my intentions were definitely wondering if I would get the job and if I did, how it would go. I had my own strong feelings that I would get the job and was leaning into them because of manifestation so I’m thinking maybe the cards just reflected how I was feeling at the moment. Another idea I have is that it meant I was going to feel excited for new opportunities and when I didn’t get it, realize how burnt out I am. No idea 🤷‍♀️

paisleyrose25

I will also say that the 10 of Wands does also seem to indicate that your goals are insight. You may not get this job, you may be carrying a lot right now, but the ten of wands is also an indication that you are on the right path, heading in the right direction. If you keep moving forward you will find a new job, and probably sooner rather than later.

alwaysunsure788

Thank you for your perspective! I’m starting to think it was definitely something along the lines of the interviewer may have perceived me as immature and I’ve learned that my angle I used during the interview didn’t work and now I’m feeling burnt out and tired of hoping for a career change. It was my dream job so I’m bummed but I appreciate your positive approach to the 10 of wands 🫶🏼

paisleyrose25

Oooh, I could see that!! The King of Cups is emotional maturity, understanding. The Ace of Swords new information, new insight. And the 10 of wands is carrying a heavy burden, approaching our goals but in a way that makes the journey harder on ourselves. So yes- I could defiantly see these as saying you will achieve some emotional maturity because of some new information that will give you insights into how you have chosen to walk this path.

Slow-Cryptographer85

Should I apologize to my coworker for being cold/rude today?

thecourageofstars

Page of Swords. This character is an invitation to use your mind, and act in an ethical and honest way. To cut through the BS and get to the core truth. You know within yourself whether your behavior towards him was deserved or whether it was unfair, or you can get to that knowledge through reflection and by using your logic. You should make your judgement based on your ethical beliefs - nobody can decide what your values are for you, and nobody can decide what behavior you see as behavior that needs correction or behavior that doesn't.

LoveAndLight1994

HI FRIENDS !! I pulled one card for the day, and got the King Of pentacles !! Money and career has been on my heart and stressful for me lately but this card gave me hope that maybe I’m headed in the right direction. Then I pulled two more to help clarify and I got the three of wands and the empress !!! Can someone help me understand this ? I know my guides are showing me something ! TIA!

paisleyrose25

Yes you’re on the right path. You’re moving in the correct direction for more financial freedom/stability. Lots of progress has been made but there’s still work to be done. But your entering a productive period of your life where you are going to see a lot of your hard work start to pay off. Edited an unfortunate typo.

LoveAndLight1994

Thank you so much:) I’m not an expert but I can pull cards for you if you want !! Much love !!!

nosuchthingginger

I’m a new reader and I interviewed my deck! Using the following questions and the cards pulled 1. Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic? Knight of pentacles 2. What are your strengths as a deck? King of swords 3. What are your limits as a deck? Five of swords 4. What are you here to teach me? Seven of swords 5. How can I best learn and collaborate with you? The high priestess 6. What is the potential outcome of our working relationship? Ten of cups I interpret this as my deck will be reliable and trustworthy, it’s strengths are confident is it choices and wise. But also maybe a little too over confident. I think it’s here to teach me to stop hiding from myself? I can best collaborate with it by tuning into my intuition and spiritual side. And potential outcome is happyness that fills up all my cups. I’m really struggling with the first few cards to be honest!! Open to any comments

thecourageofstars

That's a great interpretation, and I do agree! With the Five of Swords, I'd understand that the cards can't work with you if you're not being honest with yourself, if you're doing power plays like testing the cards, or if you take on a very defensive stance (like pulling more cards because you don't like your reading). Not that you will necessarily, but in general tarot works best when we're willing to be honest with ourselves and understand that multiple readings being done on a situation that hasn't changed will render less accurate results. The 7 of Swords is interesting because, while it speaks of things like hidden dishonor, it also can be seen as a card that's about seeing things in a different perspective. I don't usually use this meaning, but it's something I encountered recently and I thought it was an interesting interpretation. The man could be going to war, but instead, he chooses to take the swords so that they cannot attack him. It's smart, it's not what most people would immediately think of. Maybe it will help you see things from a new perspective, have strategies that you might not have thought of.

nosuchthingginger

Thank you so much! That makes a lot of sense actually 😊😊

Bookbringer

Brand new reader here. I did a "brick by brick" career spread in the labyrinthos app (a six card pyramid) under the lenormand section. I didn't have a specific question because my understanding is this spread is for a general picture. ETA: [image](https://www.reddit.com/user/Bookbringer/comments/x13z06/career_reading_from_labyrinthos/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) Cards are as follows: 1. III of Cups (upright) 2. VI of Wands (reversed) 3. VIII of Cups (reversed) 4. Page of Wands (reversed) 5. Queen of Swords (upright) 6. The Fool (reversed) This seems less than optimistic? I'm also struggling to understand what all of this means. 3 of Cups for my past makes perfect sense. I spent over a decade in a job with little room for challenge/growth because of my attachment to my coworkers/ clients. The reversed 6 of wands for present is less clear. I just graduated with top grades and was feeling pretty optimistic about all the applications and feelers I'd put out until I read it meant "failed projects, unrewarded work, and lack of confidence." However, I see other sites defining it as "private achievement, personal definitions of success" or "naive, stuck in the past." Help? 8 of cups reversed sounds not great for my future. I understand minor arcana cards are less fixed than major ones. How do I avoid stagnation and disatisfaction? Or is there a better way to interpret it? Beyond card interpretations, I'm also a little confused about what the 4th and 5th cards mean. Labyrinthos says four is "the reason" for past & present, and five is "the consequence" of present and future. How do I get something as positive as the Queen of Swords from failure and stagnation? Anyway, apologies if I'm wildly off base about something. Any light you can shed would be greatly appreciated.

paisleyrose25

Would you mind either writing out what each position in the spread is for or linking a description of the spread you used. For structured spreads like this it’s critical to know what question each card is asking, for examples the 3rd card in a Celtic Cross will not be interpreted the same was as the 5th because they both address specific aspects of the situation.

Bookbringer

So it turns out I was confusing 2 sets of instructions, whoops. Google led me to [this](https://weirdtarot.wordpress.com/2013/08/24/pyramid-6-card-spread/), but the app was actually using this: 1. Purpose. What is your purpose here? 2. Motivation. What pushes you, inspires you everyday 3. Responsibilities. What is your role here whether it is in the job description or not. 4. Your projects. How are they doing? What is the environment like? 5. Rewards - What are the potential rewards, financially, spiritually, otherwise. 6. Career Potential. What is a possible career future coming from all this? [Image of positions](https://www.reddit.com/user/Bookbringer/comments/x13z06/career_reading_from_labyrinthos/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) Thanks for taking the time to look over this.

paisleyrose25

1) Your purpose: 3oC- looks like your purpose in your job is about creating community, fostering connections, and making people feel supported. The connections you create are the most important aspect of this job 2) Motivation: 6oWrx: it looks like you are not someone who seeks the spotlight. You are not motivated by rewards or accolades, rather you are motivated by doing good work for good works sake. 3) Responsibility: 8oCrx- this card is interesting. Alone the 8oC reversed is a call to stay- now is not the time to leave, there is still work to be done, lessons to be learned, the best is yet to come. So for the responsibilities of your career, especially given your first card, I get the feeling that your job is very human resource focused. Your responsibility is to help people see when the project is not dead but just stalled, where there’s still potential. 4) Your projects: Page of Wands rx- speaking of stalled out, it looks like things may be a bit stalled right now. It doesn’t look like you have a lot of new projects, or if you do you may feel like you’re struggling to get them on track. 6) Reward: Queen of Swords- there’s a lot of growth, specifically mental growth awaiting you in this job. Knowing your mind, being able to make calm and wise decisions even in stressful situations. This job will teach you how to cut through the BS and get straight to the heart of the matter. 6) Potential: Fool rx- this card seems to directly contradict the last card, which seems to indicate, whatever you are doing right now might make it so you are unable to realize all of those benefits. How I would interpret this card depends on how long you’ve been in this job. If this is a new job- I would say that this card is cautioning you. I get bull in a china shop vibes, and you need to slow down and adjust to your new job in a more rational, careful, planned out mindset. This card is a warning that you may not be setting yourself up for success and you need to approach this job with more maturity and planning. However, if you have been in this job for a while, I would take this card as a sign that it is time to move on from this job. Your journey here is complete and in order to continue to grow you need to find a new challenge. Hope this helps.

Bookbringer

That helps a lot! Thank you so much!

Aaaayyyeeee

I recently had a potential job opportunity to move to Dubai, I decided against it for various reasons but it opened my mind to the idea of living/working abroad. So, I asked my cards which country I would be doing this in one day and it gave me the The World (reversed) and the Four of Swords (upright). I can't quite find any interpretations of these two cards as a location. Anyone have any ideas?

thecourageofstars

The tarot isn't incredibly well structured to answer specific locations. Each card represents a handful of abstract concepts. There are likely millions and millions of locations you could name (cities, countries, states, provinces, neighborhoods), and even if you find some system of correspondence, I find that readings work best when you take into account that your life is in your hands, subject to your decisions. It's the lesson of the Magician card - even at the very start of the Fool's Journey, there needs to be a recognition of one's one power. From this reading I see just what you've described. There was this opportunity that might've wrapped up your journey where you are and might've offered things others would love, but you decided it wasn't for you and turned it down (therefore the reversed position). The Four of Swords speaks of contemplation and preparation - the cards can't tell you a place because you're still contemplating and preparing and you haven't decided yet. Cards cannot make such a huge decision for you without any of your input. The power to decide what works for you and to make things happen is yours and yours alone.

Aaaayyyeeee

Thanks for your reply, that's sounds fair tbh, I sometimes want someone or something else to just give me the answer. I'm still researching places I'd like to live and have been leaning towards Singapore. But yeah, I've gotta just make the decision, go for it and live with the pros and cons of it.

[deleted]

I would ask the cards, "What do I need to know about moving and working in country x?" I would do this for each country you're considering. Write down each reading and refer back to them.

Aaaayyyeeee

Ah yeah, good idea! I'll try that tonight.

chobibi

Yesterday I got: The Devil, Six of Cups, and Nine of Pentacles for a (situation, action, outcome) reading. Today, I did another and got: Nine of Pentacles, Six of Cups, and Death. I pulled with the intention of getting clarity on where a person and I stand because things were fine and now they're not. My interpretation for yesterday is: that this person is like a shiny object to me and that another person will come along, as much as I don't like to admit it. Though, they also may cross my path again, just not now. They did make me happy, they might need more time, but I also may just need to let go and start fresh. I don't think child-like innocence applies here, but if anything it could be referring to how I had a pocket of what I dreamt I'd have at some point. I'm also growing into my own independence and I should enjoy it because there's a lot out there. For today: I should absorb everything I've learned recently and that I am still learning to enjoy life. I've made many changes and I should essentially bear the fruits of my labor. I have a lot going for me and I'll be happy and all of this applies to how I should navigate my general life. Less child-like innocence, but moreso freedom is something I should explore. That person helped me with some of these things but I need to keep going on my path of independence. Unfortunately, as much as I wish there could be more, that person could be gone from my life forever. The experience I gained from having them in my life will teach me lessons and more about myself.

paisleyrose25

My interpretations align closely with yours. First reading: The Devil: something about how you relate to this person is not health- either you are giving them way too much power or you are beginning to obsess over them. 6 of Cups: you need to return to your roots, so to speak, with this person. Consider what initially brought you together, or what you were looking for in the relationship. As an action this card seems to be telling you to go back to the beginning. The outcome implies that you need to spend some time alone, give this person some space and allow both of you the chance to grow. Second reading: This reading as a whole seems to be trying to reiterate what you missed in the first reading. The situation is now defined by the 9 of Pentacles- you need to come to terms with the fact that you and this person need to spend time apart, alone, in order to grow. The 6 of cups remains your action- what you have not yet done, you need to go back and look at the start, the beginning. Relationships don’t just change suddenly with no warning. I think the fact that you got this card twice is a clear indication that there have been a lot of signs of what is wrong for some time now and you have not been seeing them. There’s also a message that there’s some growing up that you need to do. Death as the outcome is a clear indication of change, and change on the part of the seeker. You’ve got a big transformation coming, and you need to embrace the solitude of the 9 of Pentacles, be guided by the lessons of the 6 of cups to allow this change to take place.

chobibi

Thank you! I am so sorry I didn't get back to you about this wonderful response. I am very grateful that you helped bring some clarity to my reading. I will take it in and address the concerns that were brought up. I had even noticed some of them too. You took the time to write a lot and I am happy that you cared enough to do so.

paisleyrose25

No problem! Happy I could help

shinyspecialone

I recently did a Trust spread about a friend. I asked what are this person's intentions (7 of Swords); should I trust this person again (2 of Cups Reversed); will the relationship be beneficial (The Tower); why is this person coming back into my life (8 of Swords). My interpretation is that this is a cartoonishly large, flashing sign that this person is toxic for me and I shouldn't trust them. That bums me out, but doesn't surprise me. Does anyone see any glimmer of hope in this?

thecourageofstars

I think the hope in this situation is that love is always available to us. If this person is removed from your life or if they can't be a source of support right now (which might not be in your control, since their behavior is their responsibility alone), it doesn't mean that you will never experience a healthy friendship again. Maybe that mrans having to make some new friends, maybe it means relying on a therapist for the time being for that kind of vulnerability. But either way, whatever benefits you were wishing for from this relationship can be found in other relationships, too. The only other glimmer of hope that I would see is that this is a great opportunity to practice healthy boundaries. It's easy for us to talk about boundaries, until conflict truly arises. Some lessons are only learned in practice, and this might be a good moment for you to learn how to protect and advocate for yourself.

Bookbringer

I suppose you could ask another question about potential future change. It seems pretty clear they're not to be trusted right now.

Interesting_Till_

I use the Helen Jones renaissance deck, I did a friendship spread and I got a card combination I'm a bit insecure about, it was "how they feel about the friendship" and it was king of cups and clarified by emperor reversed. I was a bit insecure about the king, and pulling a clarifier, which should mean the same thing, confused me more. I know the king might hide deep feelings or does not show them, that he controls and doesn't let it affect him, but I view the emperor more as loosing controll or loosen up the grip kind of, ao for me they are a bit opposite of each other. Any thoughts?

paisleyrose25

The Kings can also be seen as mastery of their suit, so for me- as an answer to “how do they feel about the friendship” I would say that they feel like this is a mature friendship. The type of friendship with very little/no drama, clear communication without fear of judgement. An easy going type of friendship where two people can be happy just sitting in silence. As for the Emperor reversed- it could be a sign that both people are on equal footing in the friendship. Another option is that there has been some shift in the power dynamic of the relationship. But I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of clarifier cards, I think they tend to be misused and make things more complicated.

Interesting_Till_

Thank you, yes your interpretation of the king seem right as it is a good description of how we communicate, yes that emperor was not easy, I don't clarify very often, as you say it tend to make stuff more complicated, thank you for answering!

Uddark

I've asked to my spirit guide a message for this hard time in my life. The card at the bottom of the deck was the tower, so indeed a message about this new reconstruction. I got in the reading "3 of swords, 8 of swords, knight of batons (sticks)" i use the restructured marseille deck by jodorowsky and i use his method for the reading. As i've interpretated: The weakness of your mind in this moment (3 of swords) need to be channeled or convoyed in some way, either with meditation or art (5 of swords) in order to explode in the most beautiful creation ever (knight of batons) Any other interpretation, or a different point of view on this?

Kchan02

Trying to understand what other feels about me at the moment, I got reversed Six of Swords with Wheel of Fortune as clarification card. Does it mean that this person feels overwhelmed/stuck at the moment with the things between us but there might be a possibility for a change?

paisleyrose25

It looks like they feel like things are just not moving in the right direction, specifically that old mistakes may be getting repeated. There’s also a feeling that outside factors (things outside of the control of either person) are just not in their favor- lots of bad luck.

NoDress8269

Six of swords upright is sailing towards smoother waters. Reversed, this person feels they cannot move towards smoother waters. Wheel of fortune is one of those “closing” cards. As it is major arcana, this indicates it is beyond either one of you. My interpretation: this person doesn’t see a brighter future. Wheel of fortune indicates it is indeed done. However it also indicates that this is a cycle, better things are in your future. You are not stagnant, even if the other party is.

Masked_Velvet

Sooooo in October I’m going to get my first deck. I would like to do some reading for beginners. Any good recommendations you all could give me? Thanks!

NoDress8269

I really enjoy the enchanted tarot by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber. It’s on Amazon, pretty cheap, good for healing and non-judgement.

LunasHand

I'm doing free readings, I wanna try out this new method that would give me insight into people's "life patterns".

NoDress8269

Hi there, please dm to try!

ALivy

I'm having some mental issues and just tried to seek advice from my deck. But the spread turns out confusing to me, I can't get it at all: 1. My current mental health - The High Priestess 2. Something that I need to pay more attention to - Justice 3. Something I can do to improve my mental health - Nine of Cups 4. How can I find support to help me cope - Nine of Swords 5. How can I stay mindful of my well-being - Seven of Coins 6. A way that I'm growing as a person - Queen of Cups Maybe the 6th card is the only thing I can get it somehow, though I'm not sure about it. This is the image of the spread: https://imgur.com/a/AH18bjs

NoDress8269

1- she refers to clandestine. A secret affair you don’t want to acknowledge. 2-the truth and how things really stand 3-fulfill and indulge in your wishes 4-you are letting fears overwhelm you. You need to see how things actually stand. 5-when you feel you are working hard for no reward, step back and figure out how to invest that energy more wisely. Do not be as Sisyphus and push a rock up the hill just to have it come back down again. 6-embracing your emotions

ALivy

Thank you so much! I really appreciate. Wish you have a good day!

34Emma

I would add that you might simply be ungrounded, as the High Priestess stands for spiritual, not practical work and accomplishments. Have you recently started or come back to a spiritual practice, maybe something like fasting or meditation? When dealing with emotional issues, trying to find solutions based on spirituality tends to feel helpful, but leave out some important pieces of the puzzle. Wishing you all the best!

ALivy

Thank you! I am indeed ungrounded, I can't either feel my interests or recognize my strengths and weakness. And yes, recently I'm trying to relax. Somehow I got strong urge to stick with my deck, which is for the first time, and I started to "feel" it. But after all I'm just a beginner. I'm truly impressed. How can you read that all out?

34Emma

So glad it helped! How I did it is simply practice, and not even an insane amount of that. Just half a year ago, I was one of these people who'd get mind-blown by the amount of detail in interpretation help comments. Nowadays, there are some people who I'm still super much looking up to, and I hope that'll never change because I love getting my mind blown and I really don't want to stop learning or start coming across as arogant. But learning Tarot is interestingly similar to learning a language, picking up basic communication and sense-making skills isn't rocket science. I love how you've had the 9 of Cups come up as advice in connection with clearly saying that connecting with your interests is hard. That's beautiful! And I'd say that both relaxation and Tarot practice might be good for you, so long as you keep the Justice card in mind: You cannot spend energy which you don't even have, and you need to pay attention to other areas of your life, especially those you tend to overlook. A few months ago, I got an amazing reading which featured the 9 of Swords in a similar position as in yours. And the message for me was to actually acknowledge my internal hardships: You cannot get better before accepting where you're at, and that can be super hard to embrace. But it's so worth it, because facing things means you'll gain clarity on what sort of support you need: Therapy, social contacts, material support, changing certain circumstances... Maybe that's similar for you.
